Five-star service! Anthony and Brian were both quick, courteous, and true professionals who had my entire place packed within four hours. Priority Moving was the company selected to handle my military PCS, and while I was not allowed to do any of the packing up myself, Brian and Anthony made it their priority (no pun intended) to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. Which is a huge deal, because it felt super weird to have someone else packing my belongings for me! The only reason I am not giving the company five stars is because I was told that they would be here between 8 and 10 AM and I was not informed until nearly 9:30 that there were issues with the moving truck and they would be a little late. We recently moved from San Diego to the San Francisco Bay Area, and Priority Moving was really great. The staff was very professional and friendly. We got a full-service deal, with help packing, loading, and unloading. So far nothing appears to be broken as we unpack, and the guys were geniuses with loading a truck! They moved a few furniture pieces up some difficult stairs without a scratch, and they reassembled everything they had disassembled. Thanks Peter, Rickie, Hugo, Sean, Shawn, and Moe! It was expensive, but worth it for the peace of mind of having good people with integrity take charge of our things. They only thing that was a bit nerve-wracking was getting the deal signed in the first place. Very professional throughout the whole experience! They were super fast! Brandon and Tony were our movers and I have to say they were excellent! I have not one bad thing to say about this company. Their customer service is exceptional and I would highly recommend them to anyone :-) The one thing that stuck out for me was when I told them that I have a lot of heavy things up in the attic and was wondering if they could get that stuff for me (it required to bring a ladder) and the other places said they would not be able to do that, but Priority movers were more then accommodating. My mother recently bought a condo and asked me to move in with her while she recovered from surgery, so we had the lovely task of moving not just one, but TWO households at the same time. Our move-in day was on 8/27, and we had a very small window of time to get it done in. Priority Moving sent out a large truck and two very nice men named Anthony and Jeff. They listened to our instructions about what was fragile, where we wanted things to go, etc., and very carefully wrapped anything that could potentially break. Not only did they get everything moved in safely and met the deadline we had, they also did it on what felt like one of the hottest, most humid days of the year. Talk about dedication. There was a little bit of confusion on the time frame, but my mom called the manager, Dan, and he resolved it quickly and worked out a deal with us to make up for it. All in all a great experience, and the next time I move (crossing my fingers it won't be any time soon!), I'm definitely going with Priority Moving. read more

This moving company is absolutely horrible. First they lied and tell you it's a flat fee and that they don't charge for all these extras but they do. They were an hour and a half late from the time they told me to be ready , which ruined my day because I had people there to assist me. They ripped my really nice couch and would not fix it and wanted to just give me $150 for the inconvenience. They based my damage of some stupid hidden disclosure in their contract that says they're only responsible for .60 cent per pound per item that they destroy. I do not recommend these movers to anyone. They had two guys moving the one guy made the young kid that looked about 16 do all of the work. If you're into a horrible company that doesn't care about your time schedule and your property call these guys. Otherwise I would've gave them zero stars because they are an Absolutely horrible organization...... stay away. read more

From the pre-move preparation they did, including taking inventory of our things so they could come prepared, to the day of, when the move went as smooth as could ever be hoped for. We had three movers and they were all exceptional! I immediately felt so good about the move just watching them get to work and take all precautions to protect our furniture. They were each also so friendly! They worked quickly, but again, very carefully, always making me feel confident that no damage would occur during the move. I called for a quote, and Peter asked for my name, so I said, "Lisa". He then asked me what my last name is. I was weirded out because most places ask me what city I'm moving from and to. Nevertheless, I told him my last name. He then asked me how to spell it, so I asked him why is the spelling of my last name necessary to get a quote? Please note that he has not asked me what room size I'm moving out of or any other questions about the actual moving. He explained to me that he needs my information for when I decide to move with them. I did not even get a quote and have not even decided on whether I will be needing their services. Priority Moving of San Diego CA did a fantastic job during my move on March 8, 2013. I was quite impressed from the beginning to the end of the move. They called to let me know that they were en route and arrived right on schedule! From Andre, the lead mover to the moving crew that consisted of Andre, Nate, David L and Aric, I was very impressed with the professionalism and caring displayed by this team of young men. They were also very courteous and respectful in their attitude and demeanor. Andre as lead mover explained the process and did a walk through to access the move while the crew was unloading moving equipment and then each guy was assigned an area to begin packing. Priority Moving and Arpin Van Lines are the worst moving company! First of all it took us a full month to get our stuff! Then they didn't even have a truck ready for us come loading day even though I booked the day 2 months in advance. So our stuff got put on a temporary truck, put in a warehouse for a month and then schlepped onto another truck only for it to arrive and have to be put on 2 U-Hauls to be delivered to us...WHICH WE HAD TO PAY EXTRA FOR! Due to all the moving of our stuff so many things were damaged and I'm talking damaged beyond repair. Multiple items our ours went "missing" and never arrived on the truck. Come to find out that the multiple missing items were never inventoried by Priority Movers so who knows what was done with them. Filed a claim with Arpin for the missing items only to be denied because they were not on the signed inventory list I signed when we left and when our stuff arrived. Like I was able to go line by line to make sure everything was accounted for when things are just labeled "Misc. Bedroom". How am I supposed to know what that is. It's like the make it easy for them to deny claims for missing items. NEVER AGAIN and nor will I recommend Arpin to anyone else...EVER! read more

I used Priority this past week and I am happy with their service. I booked a 3 man team to unload 2 PODS units(12ft & 16ft) transfer to a truck and move into a condo. Shawn in office was very professional and the booking went very smoothly. He asked many questions to help clarify what I was moving and how many people he estimated it would take to accomplish it. Very detailed questionnaire which gave me confidence that they cared about understanding the move and doing a good job. Andre and his team arrived 20 minutes early the morning of the move and this early arrival time is one of my main complaints. I had booked a start time of 8am with confirmation both at booking and again when I received a confirming call from Shawn the day prior to the move. When I received my bill at the end of the day they had begun my $138/hr start time when the team arrived at 7:40 not at 8am. Was explained to me that "they start the clock when the team calls you saying they have arrived on the job." This was only explained to me when seeking payment NOT when booking or confirming the job. The money is not a huge amount ($138/hr x 20 mins= $46) just irritating and feels a bit strong arm tactics when you find out about it only when you are paying the bill. If I book a job to start at 8am then that is when the job starts not when you arrive early without me there. Andre and his entire team were very polite throughout the entire day and were very careful with my belongings. I could sense they truly cared about not damaging my valuables. My things had been packed into the PODS units by another professional moving company, but Andre's team went further and wrapped my furniture in moving blankets and really protected all my various glass pieces when transferring to the truck. I found nothing damaged at the end of the day. This is the end result you are seeking when you hire a mover and they accomplished it. My only other complaint was the drive time placed on my bill and again not seeing this charge until the end of the move. The truck was required to travel from Mission Gorge to Carmel Valley and I made the drive that day in 20 minutes from door to door. When I received my bill I was charged 45mins drive time (doubled as per agreement to 1.5hrs). I get a loaded truck is going to make the trip a little slower than a car, but over 2x's as much time seems excessive. The moving team had lunch during the drive process so I wasn't able to accurately determine whether I was being overcharged or not, but since drive time is double charged per the agreement there is a strong incentive to lengthen this process. I would monitor this process carefully next time. Without these two very real, but minor complaints I would have given them 5 Stars. The move went smoothly from booking through completion and the moving team was polite and hard working. Those are the things you are seeking in a mover. I would use them again with my eyes now wide open to potential pitfalls. read more

Priority Moving did a great job for me last week. They confirmed ahead of time, were on time, moved everything without incident, and were courteous and professional throughout. Chris and Dan were a great team of movers. The only thing that stops this from being five stars is they are just a little more expensive then other options, but maybe this is a get what you pay for--haven't moved locally with professionals before, so maybe I would have saved a few bucks with another company but been dissatisfied. What a great event it is to move from a house I know well, put my prized possessions into storage for a few months and then move into a new condo. Priority Moving from the start was wonderful. Don came over and looked at my situation and gave me a very detailed bid. He stayed in touch when I had questions. On moving day, the 3 men who came were great. The absolute worst!!! Stay away from these guys! (this is my first ever negative review) Don't call Priority Movers! Don't use them! Don't use Arpin Van Lines!! I have never seen 2 organizations so adept at avoiding the customer and avoiding accountability. Want a laugh? Read on! We Contracted with Victor (salesman) for the move late AUGUST. Thought he was a Wheaton agent. Apparently Wheaton and Priority had parted ways. They are now an Arpin agent (good luck if you use these guys.) We agreed on price and he sent me paperwork with a delivery "window" from 10/08 to 10/18. I called him and told him... "I'm not signing that!" He called his operations guy Dan and then called me back to reassure me that "They have to put that on the contract because of Arpin Van lines. I just talked with my operations guy and he says there will be no problem getting your furniture to Florida by the 10th." Funny though, I couldn't get him to put that in writing. Silly wabbit! So we paid almost $500 more than United Van lines to ensure prompt pick-up and especially a prompt delivery date. (Some guys will say anything to get in your pants.) The operations guy (Dan) assured me by phone 4 days prior to pick up that they would be at my house (California) Friday 10/03/2014 for pick-up between 8-10 am. Flash to 3:30 pm Friday (10/03), still no truck and I and getting worried and calling Priority and getting the run around from Victor, Dan and now someone named Laurie, who told me basically that I had no choice but to wait. (well, at least she was being honest). I called back yet again and was transferred to a guy named Don Carlson (some other supervisor) and asked him if I could legally terminate my contract. Fearing that, he sent a small truck out to pick up the furniture, arrival 4:45 pm! Now my furniture was to be moved twice before leaving the state! Not good! Now on the road, I got a call from the driver Joe Elmer telling me he was not leaving California for about another week. When I got agitated about it (my wife works from a home office and was due to start the 10th), he threatened to not deliver my stuff at all! (a statement he repeated in front of my wife when he finally arrived at out home in Florida on the 17th). Arrival 10/17/2014 , a full week behind our expected arrival date. Good unloading crew, James rocks! Joe the driver spent most the day blaming Arpin and everyone else but himself for the delays. The unloading crew commented time after time on the poor job done by the packing crew. They got a great tip. In short, We paid for but received no boxes for our expensive mattresses (torn plastic instead) or for my 47" LG TV (both arrived dirty but undamaged). We have boxes and boxes of what started out as clean but are now smelly clothing, bedding, towels and mattresses from sitting in someone's truck for 14 days and an inventory sheet so screwed up (Dave from Priority in Cali would not allow my wife to accompany him when tagging and making the list) we only hope that everything is here. I was feeling a bit lazy so I decided to use a moving company for an apartment to apartment move. I did a lot of the little work (boxes, etc.) prior to the move date. So the movers only had to take care of the furniture and some items that I wasn't able to move prior. I phoned Priority and got an estimate of $470. Seemed a little high for the following: 1 CalKing bed, two desks, one 3 seater sofa, 1 chest, 1 4 seater dining table, one 40" TV and some miscellaneous items to be moved 12 miles. But, as I wrote, I didn't want to deal with self-moving so I went for it. Plus, other moving companies gave me much higher estimates. We got two men and a way over sized truck (32 footer). Both men were in good spirits, but one's English wasn't very good. The "lead" man was also new to the paper work and asked for some patience while he read through everything. No worries there. Shortly after I signed my name they got to work. To my surprise they wrapped everything in blankets - and I mean everything. Even my generic office chair got a good wrapping. That took some time but better safe than sorry. They were pretty efficient and got everything packed up in about 2.5 hours. At the new place they were able to park right outside my apartment and they unloaded everything fast. As in 20 minutes fast. After everything was unloaded the lead guy went over the paperwork while his partner unwrapped and put stuff where we wanted it. (**see note below regarding this) I tipped them a reasonable amount and they were out of here fast. It was on a Friday and they finished mid-afternoon so I guess they wanted to get started on their weekend. The whole move cost $653. In retrospect I would have done it myself to save that chunk of change. However, it was nice to have someone else do the work. ** The only negative I have is that a piece of furniture was damaged sometime during the wrapping at the old place to the unwrapping at the new place. The top border of a desk shelf was broken almost completely off. This happened while I was signing off "no damage" in the release forms. Since I signed off on it there isn't anything I can do about claiming the damage. I would recommend this company with a forewarning that it will cost you a pretty penny to move a small amount of household items. If you're up for paying, these guys will get the job done. read more

I have used Priority Moving twice. Once in 2012 and recently in Sept 2017. I was very impressed with them the first time. Very professional and methodical. Been using Movers every year for the past 9 years, and Priority was on top of my list. However in the recent move we did in Sept 2017, my regard for Priority Movers went down. They give a quote only after visiting the apartment and assessing the move size. This is very good because other movers just give a rough estimate based on number of bedrooms etc. However this time, the person who came to assess suggested a 3 Man crew and gave an estimate of 7 hours + 2 hours of buffer as the Max Estimate (move from SD to Irvine). On the day of the move, few things surprised me 1. They came with a 2 man crew, saying that the 3rd guy was sick or something. So pretty much for the entire move there was only one guy moving things from apartment to elevator, and the other guy moving things from elevator to truck 2. With all my previous moves (including the one with Priority), the move time begins when they come to my apartment and get my sign on the documents. And they usually state the start time clearly. However this time, I had to text the mover to check if they arrived, to which he replied. However he was parked in a spot totally unsuitable for moving from my apartment (not expected when you have a person come home to note down all the elevators and parking spots to give a quote). To my surprise when i asked about the move start time, the guy just said it started the moment they arrived in the apartment complex. Basically they wasted around 20-30 mins right there. 3. The loading was not super efficient, though i dint find any obvious flaws. I have had the best experience with Priority the first time I used them. This time it was not that efficient. I believe they could have easily finished loading at least an hour earlier. 4. Driving time: Though there was not a whole lot of delay. We did see the truck parked in the same complex were we stopped to have lunch (we started earlier than the truck from SD in our cars). However when I asked if they stopped for lunch, they said no. I am not sure if they stopped for lunch or something else, which is totally fine. But if they take breaks, they are supposed to inform me and probably deduct it from driving time (which is already doubled). 5. Again they took easily 15-20 mins to park at the new apartment. And another 20- mins just to assemble back a simple office table. I believe they could have done it more efficiently. 6. The first time i used these movers, was super impressed with the padding and care they took for furnitures / tv etc. They had a specialized padding for each type of furniture / appliance. I had never seen this with other movers, who usually just wrap things with the Blue sheets. This time it was the opposite. Mattresses were just put on floor out near the elevator, which is were the trash room is. Bedding frames without any padding or protection. Just sheets for tv. In the end they took almost 9 hours for the entire move. The initial quote included lot of buffer with a 3 man crew. To summarize, i would say, they did a decent Job. But they do charge a premium pricing when compared to other movers. I chose them because it was an inter city move. I have had experience with atleast 7 movers in SD, and based on previous experience these guys were on the top. So i did not want to take a chance and was ok to pay the really high price that they charge. Given their Premium pricing and On-site Estimate, they should have done a much better job. And i guess it really depends on the crew you end up with. read more

They walked us thru every step and explained everything thoroughly. With these two guys they took care of a 3bd 3bh drop off without a hitch. Priority Moving is the friendliest, promptest, and most professional moving company I've ever seen. These folks could give everyone else in San Diego a lesson in how to run a business right. Here's the story to back up this bold assertion: Approaching the grand old age of 26 and finally finishing grad school, I realized it was time to abandon my arrested development in UTC and move into my own place in Hillcrest. There was no way that my couch and bed could fit into any of my friends' station wagons, so I needed professional help. I did a quick Yelp search, Priority Moving came up first, and I called them 10 days before my move date. I was afraid that might have been too short notice, but it wasn't a problem at all. I arranged everything with Truda. She was kind, helpful, organized, efficient, and very easy to get a hold of in case I had questions/concerns (both via email and phone). I wish everyone could be as on-the-mark as she is. The guys who actually moved everything were Tad and Brian. They were running an hour ahead of schedule, so they were able to get started even sooner than I had anticipated. They were so efficient and speedy, yet careful. They treated my 4-year-old Ikea dresser and Target bookshelves as if they were actually worth something. Tad and Brian are great guys, for sure. The moving crew arrived on time for our local move Feb 18. They had a 4 man crew that worked well so we could direct placement of our possessions. They wrapped furniture completely and handled everything with care. This was quite different from our experience 6 months ago with a 7 man crew with heavier hands. They used flooring protection, called to confirm our move date the day before. All in all the experience was as pleasant as moves could be. Nothing was lost or damaged!!! read more

I hired Priority Moving because they were the highest rated movers on Yelp. I ordered a two-day move: the first day to pack, the second day to load the truck, move and unload the truck. The first day was fine. Most of our belongings were packed, and I was assured by all three movers that the move would be "a quick one" and wouldn't take more than three or four hours the next day. Well, the next day came around... They arrived on time. Boxes were loaded into the truck, some of the last-minute items were packed. Then... I went to grab my wallet to buy lunch for the fellas and it was MISSING. It was missing out of my purse, which was on the stairs. I know, dumb move on my part. But still, whoever took it had to dig through my bag and grab it. So I announced the missing wallet and everyone pointed fingers and blamed one another. Well, that just screwed everything up. From that moment on, everyone worked at a snail's pace, threw my belongings around, started fights in the garage with one another, etc. It was a disaster. The "three hour move" they promised turned into a 10-hour fight fest. So they tried to charge me overtime for the hours they spent fighting and driving to all ends of the earth. They told me that it took 1 hour to drive 15 miles because the "truck was so heavy." Never did find my wallet. Went through all of the boxes. There's no way it would have walked off on it's own, or gotten thrown away. It was a full-size wallet with a checkbook. And about $200 cash for their tips and lunch. I called the owner a few days later to touch base with him (by the way - if you knew that one of your customers reported a missing wallet, wouldn't you call that customer asap? Nope, not these guys!). So he claimed that the missing wallet was quite the buzz in the office and everyone knew about it just in case it turned up in the truck or something. And then as he asked for my contact info - and called me the wrong name. If the missing wallet was "the buzz" wouldn't you know my name at the very least? You suck, Priority Moving. Think twice before hiring these guys... you never know!! read more

All charges explained before we moved. Total price 4bdr townhouse local move (0.4 miles away from old house) was $750 after all charges. We had Joe,Devon and Mark helping us move.They came on time and didn't waste time or overcharged us. During the move they also asked if I need anything or move was going the way it supposed to.They unassembled and assembled all bulk furnitur. I recommend this company. read more

My husband and I used this company Nov. 2012. I did some research on the internet and the reviews looked pretty good. I then called several moving companies. Priority stood out the best because they were very helpful on the phone and very personable. Carlos came out to our home to give us a quote. After talking to Carlos I was sold, that this company was the one to go with. Our Lead Mover was Martin and we had 5 other men, John, Brandon, Nate, Ben and Camacho. These men were outstanding! First of all Martin was a great team leader and our movers were the hardest workers Ive seen! They all worked well together and were all about getting our stuff moved quickly and as safely as possible. They were 100% professional. My first Yelp review :) I relocated from San Diego to Santa Clara in Jan 2013 due to work and I hired Priority Moving after reading all the awesome reviews in Yelp. Here is my version on how the events unfolded: Pre-move Phase: ----------------------- During the researching phase - deciding on which mover to hire - I got quote from 3 different companies, including Priority Moving. Guy Gershoni was my point of contact at Priority Moving, and was very prompt in having Peter come by my apartment the same day and assess the inventory for the move. Guy's quote was right in the median of quotes I received from other 2 companies. For the move, I had very specific requirements (down to a 2 hour window), including a few last minute changes, as to when the pack-and-move-and-unload-and-unpack can be affected, both at San Diego and Santa Clara, given I was moving to Santa Clara with our then 4-week old newborn. Guy happily accommodated my requests and agreed to strictly abide by those. Pack and Move from San Diego: -------------------------------------------- Azalee Brittain was assigned as my move coordinator, and team of Trevor, Brad and Montreal were responsible for packing and moving my stuff. Azalee had set up an appointment from 10 am - 11 am on 19th Jan. I had seen off my wife and 4-week old daughter at the airport at 8:30 am earlier during the day. Right at 9:30 am Trevor called me and informed that his team would be reaching my apartment by 10 am, and I saw their truck pulling up by my building at about 5 mins to 10 am. After some initial paperwork, Trevor and team set out the chore of packing and moving stuff out of my apartment. I have never seen such a well-oiled and well-coordinated team and I had never imagined the whole thing would be wrapped up within 3 hours - given all the stuff I had accumulated over the years. I was planning for a long day, and to my surprise (and a pleasant one), I was free by mid-noon and I could actually start my long drive to Santa Clara few hours early :) Unload and Unpack at Santa Clara: ------------------------------------------------ Initially Guy had given me a window of 5 days (22nd - 27th Jan) when the stuff would arrive at Santa Clara. As I was starting a new job in Santa Clara, I did not want to be disturbed on a work day by this. So I had set after 5 PM on Friday (25th Jan) as a hard target for unloading and unpacking. Shawn and his Bay Area colleague arrived at exactly 5 PM at my Santa Clara apartment (Shawn gave me a heads up couple of days in advance about their arrival) and wrapped up the task - pun intended - of unloading and unpacking by 6 PM. Cost: ------- The initial estimate was close to $2900, and the final bill was close to $2500 !! Another pleasant surprise. Conclusion: ---------------- Relocating from one city to another is quite daunting and unsettling. By hiring Priority One, you can strike off the packing-moving-unpacking off your checklist comfortably. These guys are real pros at it, and from what I observed & learned, the crew is specifically trained on customer service - resulting in high customer satisfaction. DO NOT TRUST THESE MOVERS!!!! The lead mover tried to upcharge us twice the amount we were quoted. They falsified another receipt to submit to their finance department reflecting an entirely different amount. They lied to the finance department, saying we refused to pay the falsified amount. They caused a small amount of damage and tried to cover it up. We later found items missing. They did not respond to our email regarding the issue with the receipt nor the missing items. read more

Moving is always hard, and there is probably no such thing as a perfect move. Something always gets scratched or bumped, something often gets broken. If all of that is smalls stuff, I consider it a great move. My husband and I both would say this was a great move. There are two general categories of success from Priority Moving, we think. One is the people and one is your processes. The two work together very successfully. Andre, Goeffery, and Michael helped us both days (packing and moving), and there were two others who helped one day each (John and Joel). They introduced themselves when they arrived, and Andre who was in the supervisory role began to joke lightly with us, which set the mood. These guys worked hard, kept us informed of what they were doing all the time, finished more quickly than expected, and were fun and interesting to work with. We somehow chose the hottest day of the year to move and yet they kept their senses of humor and hard work ethic going the entire time. The processes you have in place are followed by everyone, it seems. From receiving a phone call at the front end to confirm times and places and keep us informed, to the way the guys parked the trucks with caution cones, to announcing their breaks, to carefully reviewing paperwork and getting signatures, to receiving mid-afternoon calls to ensure all was going well, you guys clearly care about following tried and true processes for success.
