HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!!!! These guys were supposed to show up 8-10am and showed up at 12:30pm and then Left early without all of our belongings. We are a military family trying to get to our next duty station and have to check out of housing the next day. The said they'd come back before 9am check out. They once again showed up at 12pm. As we're leaving to CT we drop off trash at the community dumpster across the street about 2 blocks and what do we find? OUR COUCHES!!!!! The maintenance crew said, "oh yeah we found these on the grass right there and brought hem here. Still wrapped in plastic serran wrap." My $2000 couches left on the side of the road last night. Not even accounted for when checking back into their warehouse. Like nothing. So disgusting. Disgusting company and disgusting people. read more

Great Job. Very professional organization, they got our pre-packed 1,100 sq/ft 2 bed condo cleared and loaded from a 3rd floor in three and a half hours. Our total move took six and a half hours with everything placed where we asked. I was especially impressed by how very friendly and approachable the three guys were that did our move. To be fair, this review is four years late. We moved from CA to MI in 2014, and now that we're getting ready to move back, I find myself obsessing over making sure we do NOT have an experience like we did with Priority when we moved East four years ago. The movers showed up. There were supposed to be three of them but there were only two. One guy quit and walked off the job as soon as the team drove up to my condo. One of the remaining two happened to be on his FIRST DAY and it was his first move. It took these two guys over 10 hours to load up my 800 square foot condo. Basically one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen. They had also told us we could keep our clothes in our dressers and move them full, so we did.. But one of our dressers showed up to Michigan completely broken and unusable. We got like $30 for it per their claim policy. $30 for a $600 wooden dresser that they broke. Our wooden kitchen table also had a huge gash in the top, and a beautiful trunk that my dad had made was completely smashed. We really did feel bad for these two guys, but given that it took beyond all day to load us up, you'd think Priority could have sent in an emergency third person to help these poor guys? This was the moving company Arpin van lines pawned us off to, so I can tell you we are definitely not using Arpin this time. Maybe if you were moving locally, they'd be ok. But we were NOT pleased with our experience for having them for our cross country voyage. read more

The moving crew that loaded the truck was very efficient and professional. Isaac, Tristan, and Jesse did a great job. They moved everything outside to wrap and pad the furniture and consolidate smaller boxes before loading the truck. While it seemed like a slow process at the time, everything arrived unharmed at the end of my move in San Francisco. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of scheduling. I was the first stop of the day and was told they would arrive at 7am (on Saturday) and I received a call at 7:40 saying they were on their way. For the rest of the move, there was not a lot of communication from Priority Moving. I was told they would deliver on Tuesday, then never heard from them. I called them to find out and they said likely towards the end of my week window, estimated Saturday. On Friday I called again saying I hadn't heard from the driver. After they called the driver, they said it would be Sunday instead. So expect the last day and be happy and surprised if they get there sooner. The unloaded crew (Anthony and George) were great too though. Fast and efficient and worked with my schedule. read more

Amazing! I was moved this past weekend and had 4 remarkable guys move me. They worked long and hard, yet were pleasant and efficient. Simply said, they were stellar - could not have been better! Worse move I ever had and that includes moving across the country several times. This move was only only 20 miles. The whole experience was the pits. The person who was suppose to come and give us information on the move did not show twice. The packers tries to switch the packing hours, most likely because they had anothe More Important job. They rushed through the packing and failed to pack everything and packed things they were not suppose to. The next day the movers came. They said they could pack the things that were not packed but we would be charged more. They took forever, used more tacking area than planned and still did not have room. We ended up having to rent a truck the next day to finish getting our stuff moved. The next adventure is the claim. We have damaged furniture, messed up doors, and missing bed head rail. Do not use this service! I got screwed out of my money! I had to cancel my move. I did it in the appropriate amount of time and was therefore supposed to get a full refund. The first time I called, I was spoke to very rudely and dismissed.the lady would not even give me a reference number. I later called back asking about my refund, only to be told that they could not refund my money because the no longer dealt with the outside contractors anymore and that i had to take up the issue with my bank. To the potential relocater: Here's the deal. Yes, ALL businesses make mistakes and yes, as you read the reviews there will be a few unhappy folks. But a few things... Look at the star rating, look at the ratio of good vs bad and trust me on this one. Moving time: I called 3 major movers and ended up with Stevens due to prompt call back, attention to detail and price. BIG MISTAKE, they had hidden costs, bad customer service after initial salesman calls, but soon after contract he wouldn't answer his phone. They ended up scratching many items and the owner was quite rude and cares not for his customers. DONE. I was lead to Priority via Yelp and this brings me to this review. These guys do it right! The initial call - polite, the follow up - prompt, I needed boxes and wrapping paper - the next day, needed more - the next day, again. Day of move - on time, two trucks & four men - ready to go! They wanted to see the layout of the previous home, the new home, best entry for each room, draped and wrapped ALL items of value, positioned furniture where I asked... it goes on and on. Bad Company, do not use. Broke a lot of expensive glass items, scratched the refrigerator. We filed a claim about the broken glass items, and the refrigerator, they only would pay us by the weight of the glass items, these glass items est. cost $300.00, they gave us $36.00, nothing for the refrigerator. Awesome movers! Trevor,Brad, Anthony and Danny D. were the best. I have moved MANY times in my 59 years. I have overall had an average to poor experience each time. these guys were POLITE, careful, on time, clean, knowledgeable, and got down to business immediately. There were no cell phone calls and chit-chat. I was so stressed out over the whole move....normal, right? within a few minutes I realized it was going to be OK. Total communication from the moment they left the office to the end of the job. NOTHING was damaged ... again AWESOME! Thanks guys!!! Had an amazing experience with Priority Moving! The team of movers we had were professional, kind and very careful with our furniture and decor (they did a great job wrapping and protecting). They laid down protective covers for our wood floors and stairs during the move and vice versa at the new place we moved into. They were fast and efficient but very careful and smart while maneuvering large and fragile pieces. The finished an hour early and save us money! Who doesn't like that! We will definitely be using Priority again for our out-of-state move next year! Anyone who is high maintenance and leery of moving companies, like myself, give Priority Moving a chance! The guys that showed up to bring my 70 year old mothers furniture and belonging were great! However they delivered somebody else's furniture and belongings and left my mother with one sofa that managed to get on the truck and no bed to sleep on or anything else for that matter. I called the church meant to discuss this matter and was fast talked off the phone and was promised I would be contacted within a half hour and it never happened. I must say I am always hesitant to hire movers because of the horror stories my friends have experienced and none of them would recommend their past movers. I can't say enough good things about Priority Moving. Luis and Larry showed up on time and called just prior to their arrival letting me know they were on there way. I like to move! Well, I hate the moving process but I like moving to new places! I decided 3 moves ago that I wouldn't put my friends through the crap of moving my furniture. So, let's just say that those "students that haven't eaten in a while" ruined my couches and my dining room table. Example: they turned my wood dining room table upside down in their truck and slid it towards the back! No joke! They also scratched up other pieces of furniture. Why? Because they didn't take care of my furniture and they didn't bother wrapping things up. Priority took the time to put pads on my couches and my bedroom furniture and they plastic-wrapped the crap out of everything too. No bumps, bruises, or scratches on my furniture. Two movers moved my 2 bdrm apartment. They first called to tell me they would be late...no prob. When they arrived, they assessed my place and then 1 started the paperwork while the other started moving stuff. Very efficient. They asked me if I needed them to put things together, move to specific areas of the house. Whatever I needed them to do, they were accomodating. Made my move so much smoother! read more

I have used Priority Moving 3 times in the past year. The first time the 3 man "Killer Crew" with Matty and the 2 DJs, was the best a moving experience could be--fast, efficient, polite with a sense of real care for your belongings. My daughter and I felt like family and, Bryan and Truda offered excellent customer service from estimating correctly, sending the best possible crew to keeping in touch and keeping their word. The second move was less than perfect due to shorter notice and a different crew but, again, the customer service offered is so good that the 3rd move more than made up for it. Nothing was ever broken or mishandled and throughout each experience, the customer service offered made us feel like the most important people being served. It doesn't get better than that. Our company also uses Priority Moving for business clients and has done so twice and is about to use them again. For something as personal and potentially stressful as moving, you want the best crew and most attentive customer service and people who keep their promises. Priority is all that! we experienced a bit of a bait-n-switch with Priority. The guys they sent were great, experienced, personable and hard working. The office staff was friendly on the phone, however we told them we had a large collection of art to move and they estimated around $1,250 for the entire move -- i was shocked with it took 3X as long and I received a bill for over $3,000!!!! And they broke our TV, didn't pack boxes marked "do not stack on top" correctly, placed horizontal items vertically, etc... If you have mid range items you're moving and don't care too much about what happens to them or how much you'll pay this is the company for you, however if you're interested in an accurate quote and preserving the condition of the things in your house then caveat emptor.... read more

Looks like my original review got filtered. That is fine, I will gladly give these guys another 5 star review. The movers get a 5, the company a 3. First the good, the movers (their names escape me) were on time, and ready to work. Originally I had hoped to get it done in about 5 hours but it ended up taking 9. This was not because they were not moving, the two guys we had were machines. They were very careful with everything. We moved from a third floor apartment in Mission Valley and they dealt with the stairs like pros and I never heard them complain once. When we got to the new apartment in PB (thankfully on the first floor) they really hustled to get everything in, they didn't just hand it off to us or put in anywhere, they asked where each box or item should go. The only issue came with the billing, I intended to pay with cash but since the move was more expensive that anticipated I used my debit card. The mover authorized the amount after the move, then the next day Priority ran it again but the authorization was still on as well so it looked like a double charge. I called priority and they said they would get back to me on Monday, I ended up calling them on Tuesday and the women said the first guy I talked to shouldn't have been dealing with this issue. She was helpful and we ended up figuring it out, and the money was returned to our account. Having close to $900 missing from our account on fourth of July weekend almost put a damper on our festivities but luckily we persevered. I would use Priority again but I will be paying cash this time. Update: Bryan from Priority was great at handling my complaint, Priority sent me a starbucks gift card even though the error I perceived was more the bank than them. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Priority Moving after using them for my recent 1 bedroom/1 bathroom move. After hiring help for several moves, I can say have a pretty good baseline for the average time/cost to move my belongings. That said, Priority Moving took longer to move me down the street than it took for my LA to SD move, including the 3 hours the movers had to sit in traffic to get down here and 2+ flights of stairs! I have no idea how a small 1bed/1bath move ten minutes down the road could possibly turn into 7 HOURS. At the end of the day, I was charged more than DOUBLE my original quote. After addressing my concerns with management, all they offered was a discount for the next time and an excuse regarding the stairs (since I was not of the ground floor apt, which the previous movers didn't seem to feel was an issue). I feel like I was completely ripped off and needed to provide an honest review in this sea of positive feedback. PLEASE NOTE, when you read these other comments that I was told if I posted a 'positive review' after my move I would be given a $25 gift card in return from Priority Moving. I'm assuming that helps explain a large majority of these reviews. Don't use them unless you are OK with slow movers full of excuses and a huge surprise at the end of the day. read more

The BEST moving company that I have used. I moved in 3 different directions, including an out of state move and I used 3 different movers based on what I thought I needed. Unfortunately, I used Priority Moving last. I wish I would have used them for the 1st local move, they were AWESOME! I had 2 movers, Israel the driver and David the helper. They hustled and took great care of my possessions. They were professional and polite. My first 2 moves, that were NOT Priority Moving, resulted in damaged and loss property. I used Priority about 2 years ago to unload my uPack ABF truck from out of state. My things had been loaded improperly by another moving company, (not ABF or Priority) and I had major damages. The guys at Priority did a great job unloading my stuff, keeping track, and taking pictures of all the damages. They sent me a disc of all the images for my insurance adjuster. I'll start at 5 stars and work my way back as the quote and the actual movers arrived on time and did a great job. Stars start to knock off fast after their 3rd party contractor didn't show up on time and a major piece of furniture missed the move. We were assured it would be taken care of that weekend. When no one called over the weekend, I called Monday morning to the person who gave us our quote, this was the only business card i had. There was no progress made on a solution and I was hung up on because he "couldn't deal with my stress" that day. I have never been hung up on for any service, let alone a $1200 move. when the excuse of we don't have control of our 3rd party supplier is given often, it's frustrating. there are many options for 3rd parties, and Priority moving should pick the best one, as they are an extension of Priority moving. The fact that they wouldn't take responsibility for their 3rd party is terrible service. Then we were fully charged for the entire service before service was completed. I think this is a terrible business practice, especially knowing my move was not completed, or completed on time, i was hung up on, etc. When I did get dates for pick up, delivery and install for the last piece of furniture, everyone was clear i needed them at my house at 7am so i could get to my job on time. i got a call at 7:15 that the movers were 45 minutes away from arriving. they arrived at 8am. I was then given 2 versions of a story as to why they weren't there on time (admin told me they left at 6:30 and were stuck in traffic, the movers driving over said they didn't leave until after 7 because they had to load up a truck for a later service) and I was late to work and missed a meeting. they then damaged a wall. it was a large piece of furniture, i know it was tough, but this was just icing on the cake. I will admit that Tina did try her best to turn things around for me throughout the week, but not ensuring their team was at my house by 7am so i could get to work on time, that was very frustrating. this was a bad experience not really made any better. but again, the actual movers we had on the original move day were great, on time, in fact even early. i give huge props to them. my only issue is from admin and ops. read more

Moved last week from North County to Rancho Penasquitos, two trucks, six guys and a long day. Everyone worked very hard and treated my belongings with care as I had several valuable items including a grand piano. At my new home all boxes were placed in appropriate rooms and a few items had to be moved a couple of times. Beds and a few other items were disassembled and reassembled. In the end, the cost went a bit over the estimate but was fair and in part due to where furniture was placed. BEWARE! THIS IS THE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER. They have no respect for your furniture, they steel your stuff and work so fast that you can't keep an eye on them. Was scheduled for four movers 6hrs a day for 2 days. They were in and out in less than four hours each day and on delivery day they were going so fast they ruined my couch, stainless steel electronic trash can and smashed a stainless steel tower fan. They took items that were to be moved by us personally. My IPAD came up missing and a wardrobe box full of expensive clothers just disappeared. They even took my 30 pack of toilet paper! Oh and Donny boy, what a piece of work he is, great salesman but once that contract is signed it's like trying to get ahold of bigfoot. Been over 3months now trying go get a settlement. These people are as slippery as slime eels! I posted this last year and they made me take it down before they would make any kind of settlement. That replacement insurance is a joke! "They replace nothing", just settle for 1/3rd of the damage and with the deductable you get squat! Its been a year and were still finding missing items. The MOVERS abused the fact that we were older couple with NO one else to help us over seeing the move. read more

Back in September we recently moved from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom apartment within the same complex. We did it with no help and took us well over 36 hour's ok back breaking labor to finish. So when we unexpectedly closed escrow exactly 4 months later on our new condo we knew we wanted to hire movers. After looking on yelp it was clear from the reviews that priority movers was who we were going to use. They were very flexible with us since we were not exactly sure when escrow would close and even with Christmas right around the corner we were able to secure a date with only 8 days notice. The crew showed up and after 3 mins of paper work they got to work. They wrapped everything up with nice pads and moved all of our heavy oak furniture with ease. The crew was polite and took great care to make sure we were happy. They finished loading in 2 and 1/2 hours sooner then I expected and unloaded in about 1 and 1/2 hours. I have already recommended them to a coworker I have that will be moving in the next week or so and plan to use them again if needed. read more

Like others on this page I chose Priority because of their reviews. We were very disappointed in the crew and the service. It took over 12 hours for a crew of five to move us, and they damaged a number of our items, not to mention scratching walls and paint in our old home the one we moved into. They damaged our stainless steel refrigerator by slamming into the granite counter, not once but three times. We waited two months for a less sufficient settlement check that is third of what it will actually cost us to repair. I have told others about our experience and they have not used Priority. I was originally given a quote for two guys for 4 hours. They ended up going over by just under an additional hour. The security in my building has specific hours to move and we had to stop at a certain time. The moving guys told me they would only charge for four hours and I gave them $50 each as a tip. Five-star service! Anthony and Brian were both quick, courteous, and true professionals who had my entire place packed within four hours. Priority Moving was the company selected to handle my military PCS, and while I was not allowed to do any of the packing up myself, Brian and Anthony made it their priority (no pun intended) to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. Which is a huge deal, because it felt super weird to have someone else packing my belongings for me! The only reason I am not giving the company five stars is because I was told that they would be here between 8 and 10 AM and I was not informed until nearly 9:30 that there were issues with the moving truck and they would be a little late. I moved from Linda Vista to Rancho Bernardo and things were wonderful. Everything was spectacular. They were fast, clean, efficient, and inexpensive and all my stuff arrived safe-and-sound. I hired them again in April 2009 to move from one place in Rancho Bernardo to another, they sent a seemingly inexperienced crew, and they tore up door frames on both ends (old apartment and new condo) as well as causing $300 in damage to the elevator at my new complex (which, of course, I had to pay for). I spoke to a person named Ira Wren and I asked only for the $300 that I had to pay for their wanton destruction of the Elevator. Ira requested the invoice and a form to be filled out. This was all completed and he said he would hand it to "the accounting department" and have it paid. This was never done and the amount was never paid. Subsequent attempts at contacting Priority Moving have been met with silence. Nobody responds to any inquiries regarding such a small thing. Obviously, this experience is the exception rather than the rule, but you should know that attempting to get them to pay for damage (if they cause any) is similar to most moving companies (not special like they would have you believe). This experience will probably not stop me from using them in the future, but it will make me extra-cautious when they start moving my stuff. ***UPDATE: After they received the review on Yelp, they quickly rectified the problem and even gave me a starbucks card to buy some coffee. Supposedly, they had some personnel changes and my claim got lost in the shuffle. Maybe a year late, but at least they made good. Definitely will use them again! Rating changed to 5 stars. read more

Orginally looked up other moving companies but the video on Priority Moving's website sold me. The office ladies were very infomative over the phone. I received a courtesy call the night before the big move. I got another call 15 minutes before the guys came to the house (They said they were washing the truck which was impressive) There were some big items (treadmill, fridge, etc) little bumps a nicks here and there, but I'm not going to sweat it! The price was VERY reasonable. The guys were nice; very professional.
