Came in from out of town to take my mother in-law to get her nails done for her birthday. Came in at 10:45 to sign in for the walk in only availability and was told 1 hour wait. Two hours later we called to question why we have not been notified yet of our opening only to find out the just lost our information. We were told after waiting at this point 2 and a half hours that we could come sign in again for another 45 min wait. We asked politely if we could just schedule a 12 am appointment for the next day since our walk in reservation was misplaced only to be told that they would not accommodate us for that either. Haven't been to the new location since my move to California a few years ago but i absolutely adored the gals working here! they provided countless full sets, manicures, pedis, and eyebrow waxing services for my daughter and I for several years and they are dearly missed! Came in for a polish change. It took a full hour and I left with 4 cuticles that were cut so badly they were bleeding, and nails that were not filed evenly. In addition, my nail tech spoke poorly about another nail salon that I told her I visit. I do not recommend this nail salon. read more

I went to Prive for the first time with my mom and sister and the salon was very nice and clean. They had rules set in place for COVID19 and I thought that was a nice touch. We chose to get the Royal pedicure which was $48. My mom and sister had their pedicures started before mine but the tech doing mine was very fast and rough with doing my pedicure. She flew through it and barely massaged me while I noticed that my sister and mom got massaged a lot longer than I did and she was done with my pedicure around the same time as my sister got done. The tech began making small talk with me and asked what I do for work and I am a nail tech as well (I came in to relax and have a nice day with my mom and sister). But after I told her, she started asking where I went to school and where I work with a judgmental tone, and stopped trying to make conversation with me. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience here yesterday. I took my 20 year old daughter for a girls day. We had massages and facials at Massage Envy (which were great) and then 2 Spa Pedi's before dinner. The brochure starts pedi's at 33.00 for 30-35 minutes, then up in 10 dollar increments from there. We selected the 50 dollar spa pedi's that include 3 leg treatments for 45-50 minutes in duration. Well, my daughter had flash lightening as her guy. He slapped on the treatments and washed them off so fast that it was done in 28 minutes. Yes, 28 minutes. She asked him if he did the 30 dollar treatment since it was so short and he said no. She said, but it's supposed to be 45-50 minutes and my mom doesn't even have her polish on yet (we were across from each other, and mine was 46 minutes). He said, "Yah, that was 45 minutes". She said "No, it's been 28 minutes" (and it had). He said "Do you like your polish?" and grabbed his stuff and walked away. We talked to the girls up front who went and asked who I assume was a manager, and they told me they can't do anything about it since she got the full treatment. They said the 45-50 minutes was a "guideline". For real? We will never ever go back. That was absurd. 107.00 total. read more

A friend and I went to Prive for manis/pedis. We were a walk in and they got us right in. Overall very clean and they did a nice job. The only two issues were they can only do cash tips only, which means you have to use the ATM for their tip (if you don't carry cash like myself). Also, the receptionist could be a bit more personal and friendly, but otherwise, I'd recommend. read more

I had never been one to get my nails done frequently, but when working in a professional setting I found it necessary to start doing on a regular basis to ensure my nails and cuticles look nice while in meetings, at events, etc. I can not say enough great things about Prive. I have been going there for over a year and a half now ever 2-3 weeks. Not only is the staff great (especially Hanh and Megan), but my manicures and pedicures are always top quality and last well beyond 3 weeks if I let them. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing and most importantly, clean. I would 100% recommend Prive Nail Spa (and already have) to my friends in the Toledo area. On top of the great customer service and professionalism, the pricing is most definitely reasonable for the services provided. read more

I stumbled upon this nail spa because it maintains later hours on a Sunday. The gentleman who did my pedicure did an excellent job of massaging my feet and painting my nails. Also, the ambiance of the spa is very open, airy & relaxing. The pedicure chairs are luxuriously comfortable. I am looking forward to returning to this nail spa very soon!! read more

We put our names down we're told we couldn't get acrylics and we were only allowed to get one service and had to choose. Then we leave our number go shopping, finally get a call and head back. Walk into the kid at the front desk telling a woman she had to pay cash or check because he couldn't take her card after she had received her service. We asked the boy what samples we could choose our colors from that were gel pick our colors and continued to wait a total of 15 more minutes after being told that they were ready for us. They finally sit us down for pedicures the water was dirty and cold. We wait a half hour in the chair before being acknowledged just to be told we have to pick different colors because the colors we chose weren't gel (mind you we asked at the beginning to avoid this) the girl then brings us options and walked away. We then sat there for another 30 minutes before finally getting up and leaving bc we hadn't been helped in over an hour. I have never experienced worse customer service and was disgusted with our experience. read more

Rude and unprofessional staff. They obviously just want to get you out of the chair as soon as possible and get your $$. The end product wasn't even decent: the gel nails are like sandpaper on top instead of the smooth finish I expected. When questioned, they acted like they didn't understand. Such terrible customer service. After being a very regular client for over 5 years, my nail tech was let go, in the middle of my service! This was so unprofessional and I left the salon with my nails unfinished with no offer to have someone finish my service. There is no excuse for this and, if I can help it, not one person I know will utilize this salon ever again! You can't tell me that this issue couldn't have been addressed at close, 2 hours later, or at least after my service was complete. What a shame. read more

I was second in line, as they don't do weekend appts anymore. 3 people taken first for pedicures...then first lady, they then informed me it would be an hour as a group of 5 were scheduled at 12:30. First time experience was horrible. Brought in a picture, wanted all over black color on all fingers and a leopard design on my ring finger. The guy proceeded to try to convince me to get white tips... When why would I want that when I wanted all over polish?! The full set took two full hours and then another lady had to touch everything up when she attempted a leopard design, which she couldn't even do and had to slap gold nail polish to cover the poor design. I went here today hoping to get a manicure and pedicure. I asked the girl at the front desk how long it'll be since I did not have an appointment and she said 30 minutes. I wrote my name and number down and she said she would text me when they were ready for me. So I went next door and looked around at a few stores. Thirty minutes had past and I had no call or text from her. I went back to the salon and noticed people that were just walking in were getting to go before me. I waited a little longer and asked the receptionist how long she thought it would be because I had another appointment and at this point I had been waiting an hour. She looked at her paper and said "I'm so confused, didn't you go already?". I said no you didn't let me know if it was my turn yet. She asked me to hold on because she needed to figure it out. Another 15 minutes went by and they were still taking other people back that came after me and she hadn't said anything to me. Finally one of the nail tech called someone's name and I said it's my turn because it was clear she was not figuring it out. I understand mistakes happen but she never apologized or tried to make it right...not even when I cashed out with her. I would not recommend this place. read more

Was recommended to Prive by a friend because they have the SNS manicure which is a cross between acrylic and gel and is better for your nails. Made an appointment at 11:30am since it was a workday and was hoping to get in and out during my lunch break. After waiting 15 minutes I had to go find the person who was working the front desk as she was also doing a clients nails. I was told it was being setup, then ended up waiting another 10 minutes. After all said and done I was in the place for one hour and 45 minutes for an express pedicure and a SNS manicure. I then go up to pay my bill and am told I cannot tip on a debit card, only in cash. Conveniently they have an ATM which I can pay a fee to use. I told them it would be nice when someone is making an appointment to tell them this policy, I was told they have a sign in the salon. Overall, nails look fine but definitely not worth the hassle and sub par organization of this place. read more

Okay, so I've been coming here for years and have never felt as uncomfortable as I did this visit. I'm honestly concerned I'm going to walk away with some deadly disease. I got to my chair and the water in the tub was freezing so I asked the nail tech to turn it up a little. She obliged but after about 5 minutes it wasn't any warmer. When I asked her again she drained the tub and put practically boiling water in. When I told her it was hot enough and asked her to stop the hot water she started speaking in a different language (she had talked in English from the moment we sat down until now). Then I looked down and discovered she was using a dirty nail file on me which isn't allowed. If the tool is disposable by law it is supposed to be disposed of. She then proceeded to communicate with me through weird noises for the rest of the appointment. Then I saw the guy across from me "cleaning" his tools in the DIRTY WATER the clients feet were in! It's just disappointing to pay good money for a relaxing afternoon and have this happen. Unfortunately I would say to request someone that speaks English so that the door of communication is open. Or go to Jonathon Khoi. It's more expensive but might be worth it. read more

First time to Prive in probably a year. I was very disappointed in the customer service. I was getting a gel color put on. The receptionist was very aloof and I felt like she did not care if I was taken care of or not. I felt like I was a number. She answered my questions with yes and no responses and I had to continue to ask questions to get what I wanted done. I was rushed to my spot, was not asked by either receptionist or manicurists what I wanted done with my nails and polish. They both seemed annoyed that I was asking about colors and what they had available. I felt like they did not want to take the time to make sure I was satisfied. I continued to ask questions so I could make sure that I got what colors I wanted and how I wanted them applied. In fact my manicurists started finishing my one hand before I could actually tell him I wanted sparkle on all my fingers--I just thought he would ask me as we went along. He never cleaned his area or put a towel down and so I just put my hand down on his table with all my finger nail shavings and everything on it. Very cold service, not one that made you think that they cared if you enjoyed your time and product or not. Instead of leaving the spa feeling good and happy about getting my nails done--I left feeling upset and frustrated about how I was treated. My nails did look fine when he was done. read more

Okay. Throughout this text I don't want to sound like I'm stereotyping, but damn!!! This chick never spoke to me but to tell me to stop moving. And pay attention. I started having a panic attack after she was yelling at me. I had my sisters friend who does cosmetology come calm me down. So while this chick is doing all this she's trying to help me. The lady never told me wat to do. All she would do is rip my hand and start. Which the job she did was not good. All three of my sisters friends and my sister which are all cosmetologist said she did a horrible job. Now this was my first time getting my nails done. I got acrylics full set done. Just basic. And I know I will never go back there. And I really don't know if I will ever go to a nother nail salon. Thanks. Back to the chick she was checking her Facebook every so often. She was talking to her friend in some damn language. If u ever go don't go to a only dark headed old lady. She is horrible. And need to loose her job. I have never been so mad at a place. And I work in retail. And I asked for almond shape and it looks like stiletto. Ugh. Never again. Like hell I was crying and this chick is still hurting me. Again please don't go here.
