She most knowledgeably informed me the difference of what my hair would naturally do being above or below my shoulders. I was not expecting her to go above and beyond with information. So after coming here several times I feel like I can write an honest review. I've had Aimee do my hair each time and have loved the final look. She really takes the time to suggest what will work for your hair and the condition and color you currently have. My most recent visit I went from a dark to light blonde ombré to a now rich beautiful brown. She made sure to treat the blonde before doing my all over color so the brown would hold well on what used to be my light ends. I really couldn't be happier with the color, it looks even better in the sun. As for my cut I was able to describe what I wanted and she nailed it. The perfect a-line lob is what I tried calling it, either way I love it. After my third trip here I'm confident I have found my new hairdresser. Aimee was welcoming and took the time to listen to what I envisioned for my look as well as gave sound advice based on her expertise. Not having highlights for about 4 years, I was pretty shocked at how bright the balayage came out in the beginning but Aimee had no problem going back and toning down the color a bit. My regular stylist was on leave so I had to find somewhere to go. I walked in here to schedule an appointment for my son and I, and even though the ladies were busy, they tried to be very attentive. I showed up for my appointment and everything was going fine. Then some lady walks in to get her hair cut and they give her to my girl (even though there were two other girls not doing anything). The woman seemed to be crunched for time and from that point on, I felt very rushed. I walked out not happy with my hair and later had to fix my sons "bangs" myself because they were so choppy and uneven. I understand, it's more money, but if you're a professional, you shouldn't be rushing clients, especially if they've made an appointment. Won't be going back. read more

This was my first experience here -- but definitely not my last. I purchased a Groupon with Michelle Chavez for haircut, style and color. Groupon was having a sale so I combined that with the already awesome price for the package and figured since I needed to dye my hair anyway back to my normal color, to cover my grays and previous highlights, for the price I'd just get it professionally done. After my experience I would've gladly paid full price. I've been to dozens of salons over the years that I've had my own money and have been able to go somewhere other than just a basic hair cut place for a wash and trim. Michelle was literally the first stylist who was as engaging with me in conversation, not only in just general topics, but also took the time to consult with me about my hair and what I wanted. I am so happy to have found Jon at Pro 31 Salon, I heard about him from a friend and was hesitant at first because switching stylists is always a big decision for a girl who is anything like me. He is A-mazing! Not only has he been doing this for over a decade, he listens to every little detail of my high maintenance requests and turns around and does an even better job than what I had pictured! He even spent four hours correcting damage that a previous stylist had done. I can't say enough great things about him.
