Have had proactive pest control service our home for a few years now for preventative service and all of the sudden our house is invaded with ants on all 3 floors of our house! We are EXTREMELY clean people. Like OCD clean!!! I called today 07/26/25 to see if we could get service ASAP. Earliest is Monday. Which is understandable since it's the weekend on Saturday. However, as I was trying to explain my frustration to the girl., I stated how frustrating this is and we have been dealing with this for over a week now and I don't understand why this can happen so easily since we have a regular service for several years now and all she said was.... OK VERY RUDE!!! I don't need service from a company that doesn't appreciate my business. I was caught off guard and said OK and then she just said goodbye and hung up! No confirmation of a time, no sympathy! Very disappointed! Mind you, this is the same company that provided service while we were gone one day and left our garage door open after they left and the homeless person stole a bike out of our garage which we caught on camera. We eventually got the bike back but the homeless person pulled a knife on us and it was not the best situation to be put in. They should've never pulled away from our house, leaving the garage door open without confirming it was closed first. They did apologize, but this was very frustrating as well and that should've been a clue to move on at that point. Hope you're able to learn from our mistake! read more

I did a termite service with Pro Active Pest Control recently. I initially reached out for a quote but was ghosted after exchanging some information. However, I followed up with them after getting quotes from other pest companies. I initially spoke to Jeff and Chris handled the termite inspection, scheduling, and price. I was really happy about their competitive pricing and the value they offered compared to other pest companies. I was quickly scheduled and the techs came on time around the window I was given. The only cons were I had to follow up about the initial inspection and getting a bid and when the techs would arrive. However, I understand it's that season where many pest companies are busy. Only recommendation I would make is to improve the communication a bit so your customers don't feel like they're in the dark. Other than that, they did a great job and gave me actionable steps after the service. read more

This is the second time I've experienced unauthorized billing from this company. My contract ended last year, and I did not renew after July 24. Despite that, I was previously charged anyway, which led me to leave a Yelp review. After that review, a manager contacted me directly and confirmed my service was canceled. Now, months later, I received another bill for $55 claiming the service continued month-to-month and that a service was performed -- without my request, consent. I did not schedule, approve, or agree to any service. Being charged for services you did not authorize -- especially after a prior cancellation was confirmed -- is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I am once again having to dispute a charge that should never have occurred. I strongly recommend that anyone using this company get written confirmation if you cancel and monitor your billing closely. read more

Before they had anyone come out, they had me sign a subscription deal. The call was pleasant enough to have someone call, the person on the phone was understanding and great to chat with. However, he forgot to note one important detail. I told them ahead of time this was my first time ever hiring exterminators for anything. They did not tell me that I needed to leave my home for 2 hours. I found out when the exterminator arrived and I had to scramble to get my cat into a carrier and Uber somewhere as I don't drive. Then I started having rashes on my face and I'm still having an itching problem. I don't even know what they did other than "treat" the place. I was told after 7-10 days I'd see the ants stop. It's been 9 days and I just saw a whole trail invading my living room from my floor heating vent. I spent so much time just contact spraying them to damage control, spraying all over my couch and pillows and it's a whole mess. I don't think they did anything that helped me at all and I'm insanely disappointed. Don't think they can fix it, but boy do I want a refund. read more

I sent a general inquiry on Yelp and they was one of the first to respond, and scheduling was quick and easy. The technician who came out was honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and walked me through all of my treatment options clearly. Ultimately, I didn't move forward with them, we went back and forth about the inspection report and it never made it to my inbox (possibly a wrong email issue). This company is misleading and will trap you into a contract even when they agreed to provide extermination services without a contract. I called for service. I agreed to pay for 2 visits because my stay in the house was temporary. They agreed to provide the 2 visits without further obligation. The first visit was fine. On the second visit, they sent a technician to spray the exterior of the house. The entire house is gated. They arrived without ANY communication, sprayed the driveway (the only portion of the home not gated), and charged for that service. Then, they continue to demand payment and threaten additional fees. Ive called three times to straighten this out to no avail. True test of a company is their customer service and response to their own failures. They get 1 star. read more
