We knew we had subterranean termites in Auburn. We have a home warranty that covers this but they couldn't find a contractor that would do it. So they gave up and we had to figure it out. So many termite companies don't do subterranean termites. I found Advanced IPM and worked with Ronnie. He was great. Super nice and efficient. Came as scheduled and this company was willing to jump through all the hoops with the home warranty company so that I could get some money back. On the day of the repair, two guys showed up and worked all day. They moved rock and popped off deck boards in 90 degree heat like it was nothing. They were super nice (Rick T. was one of them) and when they left my porch and patio were cleaner than when they started. I see why this company has such good reviews. read more

I recently suffered a skunk spray on (and in via the aircon) my house so I contracted them to find the skunk(s). They left a trap for 5 nights but managed to catch nothing. I feel they should be more high tech and perhaps invest in some cameras to see if the skunks are actually around, where they might travel, and then they would know where to place the traps. read more

They aren't the cheapest but I would venture to say you get what you pay for. The technician made contact as indicated in the initial call. The assigned technician's name was Dave. Very respectful and communicates well. I actually learned quite a bit in our conversations about the particular "pests" I was targeting. Dave did a very thorough job. We used their services to remove wasps hives, do a perimeter around the house including the fences, and eves, and also worked on garage. We're happy about the results. Note: This is a review of their pricing and not their service, not sure how their service is, but I doubt it is worth the extra cost I noted. I hate to give a review of a company I didn't use, but I had to after the quote I just got because of how far outside the range it was. I need a regular spray done of two houses next to each other. Both houses are on 6k sq. ft lots, one house is 1,242 sq. ft, the other is 1,538. No discount was offered for multi-home or anything else. All companies offered free respray and 1 year contracts. The Quote: $229 per house for 1st treatment $102 per house for 2nd+ treatments, on a bimonthly basis First year costs for one home = $229 + $102*6 = $841 2nd+ year costs = $612 Here is what I currently pay and quotes I got from companies I am looking at. Pro Active - 1st treatment free, $89 bimonthly = $534 all years Ecoguard - 1st treatment free, $85 bimonthly = $510 all years Best Price - $40 1st treatment, $70 bimonthly = $460 1st year, $420 2nd+ Earthwise - 1st treatment $69, $95 trimonthly = $459 1st year, $380 2nd+ It's important to point out that since I am switching service I technically don't need a first spray and then another one in 4-6 weeks and in all honesty this area needs bimonthly spraying as I had quarterly before and I always had to call them out for a respray midway through as the bugs returned. So ignoring Earthwise the range is $420/$460 to $534 vs $612 to $841. The 1st year costs are 82% to 57% higher and their 2nd+ year costs are 46% to 15% higher. I highly recommend getting multiple quotes on anything. read more

We met Dave Swehla when he was working for another pest control company. We were sad when he left and moved to another company. The service we were receiving from the other company deteriorated. When we found out that Dave was with Advanced, we switched immediately and we had Dave back taking care of our home. Dave is a true professional who takes great pride in his work. A year ago, I had just come home from open heart surgery, and my wife discovered we had a rat hanging out in our garage. It was the 4th of July weekend, and Dave came over Friday night and set traps for us. Later that night one of the traps went off and the rat was caught. Dave came the next day on his time off and picked up the rat and disposed of him. He totally cares about his clients.
