I was warned about this happening, but my quote changed the day of. It went from 3k to 6k, even though I communicated all the things we had. Additionally, I was promised same day pick up and delivery, which did not happen. A team came later than expected, which meant they couldn't drive and delivery same day. My stuff was unloaded from the original storage and reloaded to another. A second team drove and delivered my stuff the next day. To make things worse, a bunch of my things were delivered broken. It is interesting that everything was done digitally (communication, contract, payment), yet the claims process needed to be through a physical letter and printed pictures. Joe and Samuel arrived at my residence to help load a 15' truck. After being unable to acquire a 20' foot truck. I began to feel very doubtful all my personal belongings could fit. My first encounter Joe hit up the disclosures and went to work right away with no time to lose. They tackled everything from 3 flights of stairs while being very mindful of the white walls, even the tight 90 degree turns. Joe and Samuel were very adamant about using blankets so all the damage could be avoided. When it came to the couch not being able to fit through the tight turns, they were able to work their magic where others would fail. Now comes to the loading of the truck. As a normal pair of eyes, you're looking at all my shit and just wonder there's no way everything's gonna fit... But into the second hour, they were very effective in playing TETRIS. Joe shared his 20 years of experience. He put my mind at ease and his confidence was shared, I let them do their thing, while i just keep adding more to the pot. My manye(s) got the job done. Samuel was helpful in helping me make sure boxes were taped and secure before shapes were in place. They managed to hit the 3 hour minimum mark with absolutely no time wasted. Anyone else would have said fml. I called many other movers before this and a lot of the movers gave excuses. I spoke with Ahmed and was able provide the words I needed to hear. John, long distance manager, was able to provide a backup plan in case the 15' foot truck wasn't able to succeed. You definitely get great value using Pro Movers. This team knows what they're doing. Do not hire this company! I'm in the middle of a long distance move and they more than doubled my price, did not ship in a regular moving truck, they rented one from enterprise. I paid for expedited move which did not happen and they showed up three weeks later at 6 o'clock at night with one person to unload the whole truck with no tools to put any of the furniture back together. They also will only take cash or money order upon delivery. Go onto the allied truck movers website and you will see things to look out for before hiring a moving company. I specifically hired Jesse after talking to him about the need for everything to be plastic wrapped. They didn't come equipped with enough wrap, didn't double up the wrap like I requested because he wanted to "save money", used my tape gun, my garbage bags, my bubble wrap and took waaayyy longer than they should have for such a small apartment move to a storage unit. 5 hours to move a 1 bdrm apartment...?? Joe and Jessie were my movers and they were absolutely great! They were super kind, careful with my stuff, and fast. I had a 1 bedroom apartment and they were able to do everything quickly and efficiently which is what I appreciated. I would definitely request them because the experience was very positive. Although my movers were super great, I think the business model is a little flawed which is why I gave it the rating I did. When I got my quote the woman said I would pay $119/hour and that it was a three hour minimum. I asked if there were any additional charges and she stated it was the $119/hour. If there were additional charges and she told me about it Id be fine with it but it wasn't. There were additional charges that I had to sign for the day of when they were already in my apartment. My rate doubled and I do think it was too expensive since I've had movers who were cheaper. The movers themselves are still amazing and at no fault, but the overall model is flawed. I would recommend to ask about the additional charges when getting your quote to get a more accurate price of what you'd pay. read more

Moving is super stressful and hard - and Pro Movers made it worse. I will give you the TOP 10 things they failed for me: 1 - They were late and said they stopped to get breakfast burritos 2 - They left an entire closet full of clothes and boxes at the old address 3 - The items they broke - they did not inform me about 4 - They left plastic wrap all over my furniture and even used painters tape to wrap some of my furniture (and it was my tape) 5 - They dumped all my stuff at my new house and my AC unit they left upside down - which you can't do 6 - Their website says they will reassemble your furniture - and they did not. 7 - They asked for a cash tip for each guy $100 is what they requested 8 - They rushed the last hour of the job - just so they could clock out. 9 - They pressured me for a good review - and I was very uncomfortable 10 - If you have to move - use someone else. Prior to arriving I received a call to confirm if I was packed and ready, in addition to an estimated time of arrival! Sam and Joe showed up right on time, and the move was so fast and easy!! Even with two movers they were so efficient! Very very happy with our experience and I would definitely recommend you give them a try. They also have the most reasonable rate considering what you get! :) I am amending this review as Joe had pushed me pretty assertively to leave the review before the work was done. the work is now completed at 1hour 45 minutes total time (including labor and drive time). Instead of charging the 3 hour minimum as agreed upon, I was charged an additional "double drive time" despite our unit literally being across the street (still took 10 minutes for them to drive there somehow). JOE LIED about this and told me that double drive time is required even if its within the 3 hour minimum. The company confirmed this is NOT the case. So in summary, Joe stole $50 from me. I feel taken advantage of. I will amend this review again depending on the company handles the situation. I will say that Sam was amazing and fantastic and did most of the work, and the company overall has been great to deal with. If you consider this company, please make sure to request that they DO NOT send Joe. read more
