There are few times in life when you find a business that exceeds your expectations in value, function, and service. Pro Service Center is one of those businesses. While the name is a bit generic and doesn't really describe the product it creates, it does describe the owner and his business practice. Scotty runs Pro Service Center out of his home and provides custom made orthotics for those lucky enough to do business with him. From walking to running to skiing to boarding, Scotty can improve any inefficiencies you may have in your arches and make your movement more comfortable as well as more efficient. My wife was diagnosed with severe pronation in both feet which caused her pain and discomfort when running and walking. Her podiatrist prescribed custom orthotics and said he would submit a claim to our insurance because they cost $600 a pair. Our HMO declined the claim but her Doctor immediately responded by saying, "don't worry, we can make them for you for $500". I think he knew that HMO's decline orthotics request and padded the estimate to make it sound like he was doing us a favor and saving us a hundred dollars (what a guy!) I've dealt with flat feet my whole life and used insoles and inserts to better position my feet since high school. Whether walking, playing basketball or skiing, every insole in every shoe or boot I've worn gets replaced with a solid high arch insole that keep my arches up. While no expert, I knew what helped me could help my wife but I couldn't explain to her what she needed to feel to make her more comfortable and pain free. Scotty came into our lives from a search of Yelp reviews. We made an appointment with Pro Service Center and on her first visit, Scotty diagnosed what was causing her pain, explained what the issue was, why it was happening and what was needed to treat her discomfort. He then skillfully constructed a pair of custom orthotics for her at a fraction of what her podiatrist offered. On my last trip to Mammoth, the pain in the instep of both my feet was so severe that I had to take a break every few minutes. I knew I didn't want to experience this on my next trip. Scotty took the time to listen to all the pain points I was experiencing with my new Burton Step On boots, and addressed each point one-by-one. Custom insoles, heat molded liners, inflating the instep area of my boots, and some additional foam in the instep gave me the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever experienced. Life changing! I just had one pair of custom orthotics made on 3/18/23 that fits my leather work pumps and also my New Balance sneakers. I will be back to have another pair made! I'm a flight attendant and am on my feet for long periods of time. Ten years ago, I broke both of my medial sesamoid bones and had them removed which makes my forefoot area very sensitive. I also have high arches which puts most of my weight-bearing onto the forefoot. So after I finish a work trip (which is 3 to 4 days long), it usually takes me a few days until I'm out of pain - just in time to repeat the vicious work/pain cycle. We talked about my foot issues and he explained why I have pain and what he needed to do with my orthotics to end the pain. It is on rare occasion that you stumble upon a true wizard, someone that knows theory and is also a practitioner. His methodology is on point and is a gem to the world of flat and hurting feet. With much hesitancy initially, I brought my 9 y.o. son, a burgeoning athlete, to Scott to help relieve the pain in his feet from running and tennis. This was a brilliant decision on my wife's part. Jeff and his shop is awesome. I bought demo boots from Mammoth Eagle Lodge Rental Center at the end the season..I got a great deal on them but they were tight. I knew they were going to have to get stretched as I have crazy bunions. Jeff had all the equipment needed to stretch the boot right there at his shop. He is super knowledgeable and takes u thru each step of the process. It's the only place in OC that I know of that can do this type of detailed work. So much better than having to get the work done at a mountain ski shop and missing a day on the slopes. His custom inserts are as good as the ones I get doctors prescription for and are Half the price. Great service, great value and a great experience. I wish everyone knew what a jewell this service is! To have a great boot fitter locally is a rare find. I recently purchased a pair of stiff ski racing boots knowing I would need custom fitting. Jeff was amazingly talented, patient with my needs, knowledgeable and had the tools and ability to execute the tasks. Found Pro Service Center on Yelp out of a dire need for orthodics for my running and work shoes. What a great find! Scott is wonderful, friendly and very knowledgable. Making an appointment was easy too. The best part is that your custom orthodics are made during your appointment so Scott can make sure they are a perfect fit. I brought in 3 pairs of shoes and was able to try the orthodic in each pair. Scott even was able stretch a pair of my shoes that were alittle snug. I had both of my feet completely reconstructed and upgraded with metal and he helped me with two new pairs of orthotics. I had PSC make me some foot beds. Sure foot had fitted me in boots, foamed me, and made me footbeds. I messed with the footbeds for two years and kept having issues with arch pain. Finally I swapped out for PSC's footbeds and immediately gained comfort and relief. It seems that PSC's footbeds have a little flex and Sure Foot's do not. That made all the difference for me.
