This place is top-notch. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and it's almost a shame--I wish it were more busy because these guys are so friendly and give great haircuts for cheap. I'll start off by saying that the experience at this barber shop started off quite pleasant. The shop is clean and the barber was friendly, that's about the only nice thing I can say about it, on to the rest of the review. There were two barbers, a lady and a man, I chose the man because I've never had a good barber experience with a woman. The sign on the window says they know how to do fades but I still asked him if he knew how to do a bald fade and he assured me he did. I asked him for a bald fade with a 4 on top and he asked me if I wanted a high or mid fade, I answered that I wanted a mid. Half way through the hair cut I started to get worried because I could see that he was having problems fading my hair, I could see the lines and he was almost done cutting. He then asked me if I wanted it lined up and I said yes. He starts the line up and I can tell that he's spending a lot more time on the right side of my head, much more than on the left. He keeps looking in the mirror and going back to the same spot cutting over and over again. Now I'm really starting to worry. He tells me I'm done and I ask him for the hand mirror to first look at the fade portion of the cut. Honestly, not bad, it wasn't a stellar fade, mediocre at best, but that's ok. I could tell by the clientele that he doesn't have much experience cutting anything but straight hair, but he tried and like I said it wasn't too bad. Then I look at the line up and right away I can tell that he cut way too much into my hair line on the right side, this bothered me so I was a bit upset when I saw it, but it was salvageable so I let him know that the line up is not straight and right away his demeanor changes and he tells me that it is straight. I look at it again and I look at him and tell him that he cut too high on the right and he needed to cut more on the left so straighten it out. Then he tells me no that it's straight. WTF!!! I try to point out the difference to him again and he grabs my head and tilts it down so that I'm looking a bit downwards instead of straight ahead and he then starts telling me how I need to look at it from this angle to see that it's straight, lol, is this guy for real??? At this point I seriously felt like going off on him, but instead I just tell him that it's crooked and I show him with my hands how it slopes down towards the left side of my forehead instead of being straight across. Again he tries convincing me that it's straight. Holy sh*t this guy is hard headed. I had enough, I start taking off the apron thing they put on you but he starts to tell me that he'll fix it, but by this time I couldn't take it anymore and I just tell him I'll fix it myself at home and he says ok. I should have let him try to fix it but if he couldn't see that it wasn't straight I was too scared he would make an already bad haircut much worse and I'm not going to risk this guy cutting way too far up into the left side of my hairline and end up a bad internet meme. I'm taking out my wallet to pay and he mumbles underneath his breath that "He tried". Seriously? You tried? To do what? Argue with a paying customer that wasn't happy with their hair cut? Yes, you tried and succeeded at arguing with a customer about a crooked forehead and that's all you tried. Because that's what it all boiled down to. Had this guy just straightened up the line up like I asked I would have left happy because I could already tell by the clientele that it wasn't going to be a stellar fade so I was already expecting a sub par fade, but the fact that he refused to correct the line up and just make me happy is what blew me away. Needless to say I'll never recommend this shop or go there again. On the contrary, I'll bad mouth this barber shop to everyone I know and at any chance I get. Lesson learned. A fade is a cut that takes skill to do correctly, that's why I always tip my barber and I go to the same one over and over again. Today my barber didn't go in to work so I had to make due, but never again, I'll go with the long hair movement next time rather than risk this type of sh*t again...man I'm fu**in pissed!! I wish I could post a pic. Long on attitude, short on skill, that's this place. The good news is that if you have straight hair and want an everyday "middle aged white guy cut" this is the place for you, unless you ask them to change or fix something, then you're on your own. read more

Walked in yesterday got my fade and was totally happy with it.went all the way to skin and the price was good

I live locally in Citrus Heights about a mile away from this barbershop. I used to go to the fancier ones but my wife was really disappointed with the haircuts every time. So one day I was driving by and seeing the $10 haircut and decided to give it a try. I do not remember the gentleman's name that cut my hair. But it was much nicer haircut then the fancier place and better quality. From now on this is definitely my place to get a haircut. And I would strongly recommend anybody in the area to give it a try. Got my hair cut there and happy for the outcome. Very friendly service and over all the cut is great and the guy who is the owner did my hair. The store is just changed hands and provides a quality for hair cut. He only do the hair cut for men and children. I am very picky with my hair cut and he only charged me for $8 for the hair cut and I gave me another $5.00 for the tip. It is still cheap! read more

I was approached by a Vietnamese lady at a local shopping center with an add for her services at the location mentioned. The add offered 40% off, the lady introduced her self as Mindy and seemed very pleasant and really about her business, she stated she recently relocated from Indiana, so I thought I'd give her a shot because she seemed pleasant, looked clean and stated that she would do a great job for me. (Even though I already knew it wasn't in the best area) When I got there, the chair was in disrepair, so I had to lay down the whole time while this bright light was shining in my eyes. She only had about 10 colors to pick from, she didn't even scrub my my feet that good, or massaged good at all. She said that she would fix her chair next time, and she would get a better scrubber next time, and next time she would do everything better. I am just not going next time, wait she dried my nails with a news paper too. So yea, while I was there I saw few men get hair cuts by an older lady and a middle age man they were cutting great.. read more
