I had overflow coming out of my guest bathroom sinks. I thought it was the drains go to find out that the leakage was coming from my main bathroom toilet...gross!! Arturo aka Art came and was very nice and professional. He couldn't complete the job due to the length/power of the snake but definitely did an A+ attempt especially for the disgusting stuff in the drains. It's obvious why all these reviews are 5 stars!! Contacted them after seeing all the great reviews and can see they are definitely well deserved!! Emailed them regarding a possible slab leak and received an email response within a couple hours. Since it was late, Steve said he'd call the next morning. When I didn't hear from him, I called him and left a message and I was called back within the hour (turns out either I entered my phone # wrong on the email or he typed it wrong...either way, he was extremely efficient and quick to reply to my call). He came out 30 minutes later on a Friday evening! Using a variety of tools and methods, he determined we had a leak and gave us several suggestions for the next step. Steve was very knowledgeable and offered ideas for a variety of plumbing questions/concerns we had. He is very friendly and gave us many great tips. It's obvious this company is not just out for the money as Steve walked us through some problem solving steps to fix our leak, when other companies would be likely to suggest we use them to do it. Fingers crossed the suggestions work!! If not, we will definitely be calling Steve back to move on to plan B! Steve even mentioned that while they don't work holidays, they always check their cell phone when called, in case of a plumbing emergency (would've been nice to know when our hot water heater sprank a leak the NIGHT before Thanksgiving!). We had a slab leak and they came out to check out the issue. We have a very long, one story house. They really listened to my concerns and instead of selling me an expensive pipe re-install, they suggested a secondary tankless water heater. This meant no jack hammering the slab through my entire house, and I now get hot water much faster at the west end of my home! I've already recommended these guys to my neighbor! Fantastic customer service. We were notified by the water company that we were using 3-4 gallons of water an hour, round the clock. That indicated we had a leak. With no visible signs of a leak we searched for "Leak Detection" on Yelp and found Proactive Plumbing. Mike replied to my inquiry right away. I had never used the 'contact' feature on Yelp before so I didn't know he wrote back and I called him 2 days later. Sure enough his message was waiting for me in the Message section. Mike gave me instructions on what to look for. Steve called me back and came right over. This was a Wednesday night! He assessed the situation and pinpointed the leak to be running from the meeter to the house. He offered various options on how to proceed and we chose to have them come out and replace the entire pipe. Today Steve and Myles came and put in a long day replacing everything. They are very professional, courtious, friendly and all around great guys. The work done in a neat and efficient manner and when they left you could hardly tell there had been a deep, long, narrow trench in the yard! They even came in under bid! Needed to have a brand new Kenmore (LG made) dryer converted from natural gas to propane. NO ONE, no appliance company that I called, the "big" name plumbers, local plumbers, our propane company, or even LG would do it! I rarely Yelp but do check when I'm in a bind. I was today (Saturday) as our drain was backed up out of reach of my 25' plumbing snake. Checking Yelp I found Proactive and called. Mike answered immediately and said he could be at our house between noon and 2:00. He arrived at 12:30 - a good sign already. He took care of the problem with professional tools and professionalism. The price was extremely fair, particularly on a Saturday. There is no reason to use anyone else in North County. I did some research and saw that these guys had great ratings and were nearby. Mike showed up and quoted me a fair price for fixing a leak and installing a new faucet that my wife had purchased separately. The job was a bit more difficult then anticipated, but he still kept to his original quote when he was done and did an A+ job.
