He arrived on time (right on the dot), and was friendly and professional. I asked about a few other plumbing jobs around the house that have been on our plate for a while, the "big" one being a new water heater. It was such a pleasure to deal with Proactive Plumbing today. We had a water heater installed from another company, and when they went to turn on the main line after they installed the water heater...nothing happened. He then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't fix the main line as he "only installs water heaters". He told me I would need to call a plumber to have it fixed. So I looked on yelp and found Proactive Plumbing...I'm sure glad I did. Mike answered the phone right away and started trouble shooting over the phone before we even committed to have him come over. He told me he could have a guy out in about 30 - 40 minutes (which he came in about 20 min). Steve was the plumber who came out to do the work. He did a great job, very quick and thorough. Once he replaced the valve on the main line he also checked our water pressure and even helped us turn on our water heater that the other guy said he would have to come back out to turn on. Proactive plumbing is great! They can make time to get to your house whenever you are in need of serious help ASAP, and they are professional and super polite! The first time I had them come over, i accidentally put a ton of potatoes down the garbage disposal... OOPS! The second time was after we had granite installed in our kitchen and apparently the install did not include re-installing the fixtures. Thanks to Yelp I found a good plumber. I had a wall leak so I called around to get a quote. Proactive wasn't the cheapest quote I received but of the places I called, they were the most professional and courteous. In the end, the total came out cheaper than all the quotes however! I called on a Sunday and was relieved to know that this company does not charge overtime for working weekends, since one of the companies I called said they would need to charge overtime on a weekend. I received a call back from Steve 2 hours later, he gave me an hour window and was there on time. After taking a look at the problem, he gave me some options, explaining everything thoroughly and then he recommended the most cost-effective route, which is great. I really felt like I wasn't being over charged. He fixed the problem in half an hour and he even cleared my sink drains and offered to check my water heater. I didn't even ask him to do that. Found Proactive Plumbing;on a list of recommended vendors put out by my condo community residents. We had a slab leak and caught the leak before it had flooded our unit. It was 11 at night. However, when I called Proactive, Mike answered, He was very coridal and told us to turn off our water valve to contain the leak. He said he would be by early the next morning. True to his word, he arrived, and expertly explained several options we migh choose. Mike is very well-versed in his field, and is not only a highly intelligne and expert plymber, but a friendly, concerned, and accommodating person. He found the leak and with the aid of his able assistant ran a new hot water pipe through ous attic, so that he didn't have to break up the concrete. He kept the wall damage to a minimum and even cleaned up after. The dry wall repairmab even said Proactive did in a great job in keeping the damage to a minimum and that the work was excellent. We would never use any plumbers but Proactive. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants a reasonably priced, yet expert plumbing outcome. So...you need a toilet replacement quick! Call Proactive Plumbing. Spent 1 1/2 hours yesterday calling plumbing services. Late afternoon called Proactive and in 5 minutes received a call back! FYI - Have not heard back from all but one other company! (early bird gets the worm) Now that is service. Talked to Mike about the problems, told him the toilet I wanted, received a quote (price was right) and scheduled an appointment for today! Just like that! Dave (very nice guy) came today at the time we scheduled and installed the toilet with no problems! Made some suggestions on the supply line (no pressure at all) and he made the change, installed the toilet and cleaned area! I am so impressed with this company and will call on them again in the future! Thank you for making my replacement experience painless! In short, Mike was amazing. He was easy to work with and really appeared to look out for our best interests. We had a re-occuring toilet plumbing issue. I explained the situation to Mike and he suggested we started from scratch to attempt to diagnose the issue. We already had a different plumber come in and diagnose (used a camera and snake) and the first plumber claimed we needed to start punching some walls open. Mike was our second opinion. I never write reviews but feel compelled to do so because Steve was amazing! We called him Thursday night at 7:30 and he answered LIVE! We told him we had a leak under the kitchen sink and he said no problem, he would be there in 45 minutes. He showed up on time, in fact a bit early which was great since we had work the next day. Mike was extremely professional and friendly. We discussed the problem as well as pricing and solutions over the phone. The pricing was very reasonable. He was able to arrive in less than two hours from my early morning call and got right to work. He discussed with me the initial costs as well as potential costs depending on what he found. Mike assured me he would not do any work that would incur more costs without discussing it with me first. I needed a couple of minor things done in the house and called Proactive Plumbing because of the Yelp reviews. No issues with the price or service. Prices were very fair and service was quick. I was told they would be here between 11 and 1. Miles showed up at 11, I walked him through what I needed done and he said, "no problem, should be fairly quick." Miles is true professional, he walked me through what he had to do and what they don't do (fix drywall, I needed a gas line dropped). I told him to do what he needs to do, my only concern was making the wife happy. He finished that fairly quick, not being a plumber I figured it would have taken longer than what it did and he was on next the item which involved turning the water off in the house. After he replaced the cartridge in the shower and turned the water back on he noticed another problem and explained to me what was going on and what needed to be done to fix. It wasn't on the list of repairs at the time and I didn't expect him to take any action on it. After he finished both jobs he cleaned his work areas, except for what I told him to leave, and made sure everything was put back the way it was supposed to be. Bottom line: True professionals, quick, courteous, priced fairly, and I will definitely call them back in the future. If you're need of a plumber I would give Proactive a serious consideration. read more

we had a backed up sewer line on a Sunday at 4pm, small flood in first floor. Called these guys and Mike came out. After detailed inspection and trouble shooting he determined that we had tree roots clogging the water pipe. He spent nearly 4 hours fixing it on a Sunday night. He did not give up and say he would come back tomorrow like a lot of people would do. He cleaned up and we were as good as new. And he did not charge very much. Phenonmenal.
