First time I had a clogged sink they arrived fast and corrected the problem quick I thought it would cost 300$ and up but no it was only 100$ I was amazed. Second time needing service I had a leaky shower head which I already knew what the problem and knew I could fix it myself due to lack of time I called this company again. I called Prodigy in a bit of a bind after the first plumber I called was unable to complete the work. They recommended Prodigy to me. I called, and although the person I spoke with said they were pretty busy, he said he would get someone out as soon as possible. A little over an hour later, Destin showed up. He was friendly and efficient and neat. He quickly diagnosed the problem and explained it thoroughly to me. I can't say enough about the professionalism, quality, and care taken with a recent plumbing issue I had in my home. I called Prodigy and they had Luis out to my house in 30 mins. He quickly evaluated the necessary steps We needed to take, and got to work. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely fair. I am always worried about being taken advantage of when it's regarding things I know nothing about and Luis walked me through the issue, and made sure the repairs made sense. I had a similar plumbing issue a few months back and was taken for a ride on repairs... This was quite easily the best plumbing experience I've ever had. They are already saved in my phone for my next plumbing issue inevitability. Side note: if you are concerned about covid protocols and safety, this company makes a decent attempt to be very cautious and careful. Found this business while house sitting for my sister. Phil was awesome I called in a panic about no hot water, a funky smell in one of the showers and a leaky shower head and faucet. He sent out A tech within a few hours . Luis accessed all my issues took pictures and was able to give me an overall picture of the repairs. My shower stopped working and so I needed plumbing service. I remembered Prodigy from seeing a truck when walking my dog a while ago. Since I knew they were veteran owned by talking to the driver, I decided to go to this business and support a fellow vet. Overall I had a great experience. The person I spoke to on the phone was very courteous and the technician that came to my house was courteous, professional, and informative, since I asked him many questions due to it being the first time using a plumbing service. It was my first time using any plumbing service at all and I had to call for my organization I worked at so I was unsure what to expect. I searched on Yelp and found Prodigy and they sure did not disappoint. They were very kind and was able to get a technician out the next day. The technician, Alexis inspected our sink and quickly resolved the issue. He even informed me the cause of our leakage was because our sink was getting detached from the wall causing our pipe to break and although that wasn't what he specialized in he was able to help me stabilize it to prevent the pipe from breaking again. There was also another leakage from our roof that I was concerned about so I mentioned it to him and while he told me that's probably not something he can do, he was still kind enough to check it out for me. I started using prodigy when they were a small operation, but in 3 years they've grown significantly. I've used prodigy 3 times already. They have done two fairly big jobs for me. 1) replacing a toilet 2) replacing my water heater Both times they were on time, honest and friendly. They didn't force me into any expensive service and offered options before fixing the problem. The prices aren't bad either, very reasonable and always consistent. After the job was done they cleaned up after themselves and removed all the trash. It's as if they were never there. They are always my first call for if I need a plumber, because I know they won't take advantage of a Customer that is usually at a disadvantage when having to call any type of repair service. read more

This is my second review for Prodigy. Jerry came out look at my hose outdoor water line. We were trying attach a new hose bib and found out half of our or galvanized pipe threads disintegrated. Jerry opened up the wall and was able to replace our galvanized attachments that extended out of the wall with new copper. We now have a new hose bib and a t that is attached to a pvc valve for our sprinkler system. Jerry did a great job and I will be calling Prodigy again! read more

I wanted to get my HVAC system checked out before summer so Jordan and Mike came over to inspect the whole heating and AC. They did a thorough check and came back to me with a couple minor repairs and said they could do it now or I could wait because it wasn't anything major. I decided to do it so they took about 15 pictures of the before, during and after so that I could easily confirm that the work was done. Took them 45min and now my system is ready for the heat. We called a different plumber to come and fix a slow-draining bathtub. After about 30-minutes the plumber said he would have to come back later to replace the pipe to the tune of $3500. I called Prodigy for a 2nd opinion, fully expecting to need to replace the pipe. Prodigy arrived and cleared a clog from the drain in under 2-minutes. Then they inspected the pipes and the drain. In total, I paid less than $100 and the whole ordeal was done in under 10-minutes (including the time it took to close my astonished jaw). On-time, super-fast, friendly service. read more

Excellent company. Had an underground gas leak for my pool heater and couldn't identify the source. One company recommended breaking concrete, which would've been costly since the main line to the heater is quite far. Others recommended a line going up the stucco, through the attic and back down the other side of the house then bore under concrete to the pool heater. Prodigy recommended boring under the concrete decking, which is a similar path my old pipe took. Didn't think this was possible but they quoted me the work. Price was fair and they were able to accomplish what they set out to do in 3 short days. No broken concrete. read more

I gave this company 5 stars for two reasons, outstanding customer service and excellent workmanship! I called on Saturday stating it wasn't an emergency. The owner, Mark, followed up with me on Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to schedule a Monday afternoon appointment because I also had to be home for a household delivery. Jovanni was my plumber technician and he was professional, courteous and patiently explained my fixtures and how it all worked. I provided the faucet and he installed it flawlessly! The price was very affordable especially if the client provides their own material/fixture. I called back and they said they don't service Newport Beach even though it shows it covers the area on the map. Used Prodigy because of the many positive reviews. Pros- on time, good attitude and clean. Cons - upsell product and "membership" , took a long time, did not do a 100% job, a part was not installed. Price to install a new faucet system for 1 sink more than $1,000. Because of the part omission, I called and made an appointment for a fix. A more experienced plumber came out after and fixed the problem in no time. But now the water pressure for the cold tap is very low while the pressure for hot tap is normal. I don't know what they did but I will not use them again. read more

The only reasons for the 4 vs 5 star service was that I had to leave work early yesterday but their guy was on another job, so I had to stay home the next morning for Felix to come by. He was pleasant, fast, and personable. The problem was two-fold- 1/lack of hot water at the kitchen sink, and 2/ a broken gate valve (main line shutoff). 3 /12 hours after he started, I had hot water, and the entire main line was re-engineered and a ball valve installed. Though a bit more expensive than I'd hoped, Felix was spot on and did a fine job. This is the 2nd time using Prodigy - so you can guess that I am pleased? Yup. You guessed right. From the initial contact, they were very friendly and helpful and, although it was not an emergency, they were able to schedule the job for the next day. He arrived during the expected timeframe and gave me a thorough quote for me to approve. In addition to the faucet replacement, he was able to do an impromptu maintenance service on my tankless water heater (long overdue), so that was a convenient bonus!
