Good selection of produce. They have great seasonal items that are often difficult to find in supermarkets. Great flowers and house plants. Make a list of what you want so that you don't get overwhelmed. Take your time and inspect your food. Take a look at the more exotic produce as well. read more

The produce is cheap but fairly good; of course I'm comparing it to places in West Philly where you're lucky if you find something that isn't rotten. It has an interesting system: veggies, fruit, and plants are purchased at separate counters so don't try to bring the veggies to the fruit counter or any other incorrect permutation. The people there will let you know where to go and the people behind you in line might roll their eyes at you, but the next time you'll know what to do. Some produce is on the shop floor but the majority is behind the counter prepackaged in plastic bags - there's a little luck of the draw in terms of the quality of what you get, but so far I've been lucky. Prices are listed on giant whiteboards above the counter. They don't always have everything listed so don't count on getting all 17 esoteric ingredients for your exotic feast here. This is a good place to shop if you cook at home a lot. Other than the produce, the plants available are great. They are mostly less than ten dollars which means that the next time you go to someone's housewarming you can bring them a nice plant. Flowers are also on the inexpensive side and there are a lot of options. read more

Rude employees! Don't pay for humiliating yourself. Bad quality fruits and vegetables.

I cannot imagine how you can do better for the money. I have filled 20 rooms with gorgeous flowers for $25. 25 long stemmed hothouse red roses are three bucks this week. Three bucks! At this price men can take them home every day and never have to apologize for anything. The fruit is mostly excellent, and it is true if you don't like something they'll replace or refund. The plants are fantastic, with great variety and never any disease or bugs, they look like they come from great nurseries. No one mentioned the eggs for under a buck a dozen, fresh and delicious, though it's true you have to buy enough to last a year, but that's why you should shop with friends. Also bread, fresh baked, I think $2. They've even got incidental stuff like holiday decorations. Please, let's get real folks. If there's a better place than this I want to know about it! The only drawback is you have to have cash, but luckily that's the only reason I'm not totally broke as I would buy every plant and flower I saw probably. read more

Where else can you buy twenty-five roses for $6?!? Hello! The flower selection has always been pretty awesome here, I must say. Last week I went and spent $76 on flowers, fruits and veggies that filled my house with beauty and my refrigerator with healthy goodness. I just wish the front doors were automatic, they're really a bit heavy, especially when your hands are full with a cart of multiple bags of produce. I had been to a different location back when I lived somewhere else and I just learned this week that there was a local Produce Junction. This location is small, but their prices are great. They sell fruits and vegetables in pre-weighed bags so you can't buy a single piece. They also keep most of the produce behind a counter so you can't always look before you buy. The prices are really low compared to the grocery stores. They also sell flowers for a great price. A dozen roses cost $4 today (July 6, 2013) and they had other nice bouquets for between $2 and $6 depending on the size. The flowers are in the front of the store and you can look at each bouquet. The only bad part of this location is the parking. It's right off the street and while they have a few spots in front, you'd have to back up into incoming traffic to leave. Or you can park on the street itself. I had no problem finding a place to park, but it wasn't the best. read more

I walked out of here with 3 massive bags of produce, flowers for my mother and grandmother and a potted orchid for myself for $35. Avocados were 3/$1 so that should tell you something...don't waste your time buying produce anywhere else if one of these gems is nearby. The downside is they only take cash, the lines tend to get a little long (albeit, they move quickly), they're only open until 5 and THE PARKING. My car/myself almost got hit numerous times trying to gain access to this glorious land of discount produce and it was 1:30PM on a Friday. Proceed with caution (literally) but do go! read more

This business is not worthy of my money and doesn't deserve any stars. The customer service skills of the black girl (puppet) and Hispanic was below average. My husband and I asked a question and the black girl rolled her eyes and head, looked us up and down, and spoke with an unprofessional tone. She enjoyed being disrespectful and her behavior was welcomed by the other workers / owners. Mind you, we've never been to this store before and wanted to give it a try. We don't know anyone that works there either so the behavior of the workers was unprofessional and unnecessary. We complained to the Hispanic managers / owners and nothing was done. No person, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, class, gender, etc., should be treated indifferently because we don't look like the owners or the residents of that particular community. As far as I understand, U.S. Currency will never lose value no matter where you shop. We will never shop at a store that doesn't have a register and doesn't provide an itemized receipt. First impressions are a lasting one. Give me your money for bad service is bad business and a poor reflection of the owners. Now I understand why everything is priced so cheaply. read more

I loved this store and used for over 15 years, BUT for the last 15 days, i noticed changes in a negative side: prices doubled, sizes/quantities become smaller, and quality is questionable. If they will continue this way, they will loose their long term customers for sure. It is very disappointing how new management detoured customer satisfactions. read more

Love! How they can afford to sell me 10 sweet potatoes for like 3 bucks I have no idea. It's so much food that you really need to eat all of it quickly. What would have cost me close to 40 bucks at Whole Foods or 30 bucks at another supermarket in produce costs 20 at PJ. They've got a fan for life. read more

They have cheap and fresh produce, and quite a large selection. The only downsides are long lines and you have to pay cash. Still worth it though. read more

if u want super cheap produce this is definitely the place to go BUT parking SUCKS!! produce junction traffic literally ties up the entire street. its horrible. long lines are also the norm. my advice would be to get there when they open the doors in the morning to save yourself some aggravation. u absolutely have to have alot of patience to shop here. read more

I remember the first time I entered through the doors, as a weary shopper. I refused to believe the hype. And I left about 15 minutes later with carts stocked full of quality and fresh fruits and vegetables. Golden apples, ripe bananas, full-bodied blueberries, there was almost every type of produce you would find in a corporate grocery store, but here, they were crisper, fresher, and at its best. And the prices, oh, the prices--I felt guilty paying for such a small bill. I had just filled the car with enough produce to last several weeks and the final total amounted to less than $20 dollars. I paid a few bucks for a large, LARGE sack of red cherries, which were so delicious and juicy, they were consumed in its entirety before I returned home. As much as I desire to hold this place a dear secret, I must recommend such a fine establishment. read more

I've watched Produce Junction improve with each location they open. With each store doing great business his buying clout improves so that the quality of his fruit and vegetables, especially the vegetables, continually improves. In the beginning it was not a place for the serious cook looking for very good fresh green groceries. But not anymore. The flower section is especially appealing with much South American cut inventory. Don't expect the roses to smell, but 25 for $10.00, what's not to love. You must ask the young Hispanic woman at the Wynnefield store to check your flowers before you buy them. She'll tell you how many days you can expect from the bunch you've selected. She can nail it. I've had flowers fall apart before I got home and I'm ten minutes away. If it does happen, no problem getting more flowers or your money back. read more

I went to this location of Produce junction to shop for a party I was hosting a week ago. I must have set my smart phone down when I went to pay for my intended purchase. When I got home I realized I had left my phone behind. The Find My Phone app revealed my phone was still at Produce Junction. I called right away and was informed it was not there. My assistant returned to inquire an hour or so later from the sales woman who had helped me if she had seen my phone. The woman replied in a broken English that she did not know where the phone was. However, that very night this very same woman posted pictures of herself on my Facebook account from my phone. I sent a text to my phone offering a cash reward should my phone be returned by the next day. It was not returned. I returned to Produce Junction. I learned the sales woman spoke English very well after all. I also confronted her and she continued to deny having my phone. What happened is upsetting for so many reasons. I very much enjoyed shopping at Produce Junction until this incident. I will not be returning and will not recommend it. This place is great! The prices are half what we pay at the local supermarket and the selection is awesome. Some of the produce is behind the counters and you need to ask for it when you come up to pay. The lines move quickly, so be prepared with your list before standing on line. They have a separate section for fruit & vegetables and also carry eggs. We no longer buy produce at the local supermarket, just pile the cart high every other week at PJ. Such a great find. Be advised that they do not accept credit cards. Also, designated parking outside is limited, but I've never had trouble finding a spot down the block. read more

I come here regularly for their vegetables but not their fruit. Their fruit hasn't been very ripe. I'm a fan of grapes (green to be specific) but theirs aren't firm like I like them & they don't last past 2 days. However, last time I was there their strawberries were pretty good. Maybe just have to find out the day their shipments come in. read more

I've been shopping here for years. I love the prices, great place. However, a delivery truck blocked my car and I couldn't get out. The manager was so rude and uncaring, passive aggressive. Even though I spent lots of money, it didn't phase him that I was stuck for over 20 minutes. I will continue to shop at Produce Junction, but not in Wynnefield!
