The customer service for the owners is always great n they deserve 5 stars. However, it's the workers that install stuff that they get two stars. We didn't inform them due to the fact that my other half goes here often n they know him from the moment he walks in the door & we didn't wanna damage that reputation. However, we brought in a double to be installed & it was working with a perfect screen because we plugged it in before we left our house to get it installed. After he installs the deck, MIND YOU it was not installed all the way & the person who installed it, said it can't be installed completely because it's missing a bracket or whatever which they don't have he said; HE THEN ALSO SAYS Oh idk but your deck has lines n it's cracked. I told him It wasn't cracked when we brought it. We didn't wanna burn any bridges so we just said whatever's. The guys at Professional Auto Stereo always treated me right. They have a large selection and the best service and are very knowledgeable of any kind of car with what stereo would be best fit. I remember one time when one of the owners was inside the shop and I was talking to him, and told him I just got a new car (well, it was a used car but new to me). Without even going outside, he looked at the car through the shop door said, "Oh, that car has a Bose stereo and speakers located at..." and he went on to describe the stereo system that was already in the car. I was blown away, because he was exactly right on the money. Then he says, "you know, that is actually a good system you have" and he does not push on me getting a new system nor put pressure on me to buy a new system. Great customer service and pricing! Needed a car alarm put in ASAP. Was able to walk-in, select the alarm and hand over the keys to my car. Spoke with Sam (extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the products that he sells. He explained the features of the alarm and topped it off with lifetime warranty on the alarm. Sam stated that we could wait for the car (about 90 minutes or so) in the air conditioned store or he could call us back when it was completed. We opted to leave and await a call. Sure enough, in less than 60 minutes, we go the call that the car was ready, tested and able to be picked up. Arrived to find the car ready as stated. Entered and was greeted again by Sam, paid in cash and was handed the keys. Went outside and the installer walked us through the features of the system to include the key fob. These guys have a 5 star rating for a reason. First off Sam, one of the owners got back to me a half an hour after I sent a message on yelp requesting a quote and I sent it at 2 in the morning not expecting such a quick response. Told him I had everything I needed as far as equipment and just needed installation. I was shocked at how much he charged (IN A GOOD WAY) because it was almost a couple hundred bucks less compared to what everyone else was charging! I picked up my taniokas and parked over by the shop. Jad (the other owner) took my truck in first thing when they opened at 10. The installation took about an hour and a half as promised. The person installing the deck ran into a couple of ware-n-tare problems so he warned me before proceeding (which I respected, and asked if I wanted to continue. Being that it was an old truck and the problem was common for my model of truck I said sure). Sure enough what he said would happen happened, but he tried his best to repair it. The problem was minor and had absolutely no problem being that I was warned prior and it was my choice to proceed with the installation. Also being that it was cosmetic I could care less. They have a couch and TV for you to wait and chill while they work on your car. There were quite a few people coming in the store and calling and asking all kinds of questions about their vehicles. Hearing him talk to the customers you could tell he knew his stuff, and was never was trying to upsell them. Frick, he even told a guy that he was booked today and referred him to the guy across the street and a place in Pearl City!!! How awesome is that?!?! Just a dude that's trynna help people out and not greedy with trying to keep customers for himself. That's really respectable Jad, props to you on that. When all was said and done the sounds turned out awesome and Sam walked me through the settings and functions on the deck. Hands down, best stereo/Auto service I've been to (3 of them). We went here last min because our radio and sound wasn't working, they knew the problem and diagnosed it same as our dealer. They explained our options and even let us know what may or may not work but they reassured us that they'll do their best to make it all work, especially the tv in the middle for the kids. EDIT: Jad reached out to me and apologized for the issue. Clearly this isn't something that happens often so we're chalking it up to my truck being a little older and already having a few mods. Professional service and follow up - two things that make a good business great. Highly recommend talking to Jad when you're in the shop. Solid guy and willing to go the extra mile for his customers. From the top: I came in to have them look at my Clifford alarm on my truck since they're an authorized Clifford dealer. At the time, it would lock but not "chirp" when the alarm activated. The technician, Justin, says the alarm is too old and he has no idea about it. At the very least, he lets me know my brand / model since I had no idea. I get it reset, the chirp is working but the locking and unlocking quit working. I go back and they tell me the best thing to do is get a new alarm. I pay $200 and get a basic Viper 3105V installed. A few days after the install, I'm realizing that my turn signal lights on my side mirrors are no longer working. Then, I see that my "parking lights" aren't flashing when I arm / disarm. Finally, the "starter kill" when I arm the alarm and try to start the truck isn't working either. I go back on my next day off and explain the issue. They get the truck in and they half resolve my issues. They get my lights to flash at arm/disarm, but they connect it to the headlights (and not the parking lamps). They get the starter kill active when you try to start it and the alarm is active, thankfully. But they tell me they have no idea about the turn signal indicators and they can't help. read more

This place is the bomb. Sons 2018 Christmas present 10" kenwood sub from crutchfield going down and because they only give two month warranty we had to revive 3 times already. So decided to give Jad and his team at professional Auto stereo a chance since they have great reviews. Jad himself helped us out and was very knowledgeable and straight up on what my son wanted and didn't try to upsell. Son settled on an upgrade of a 12" pioneer sub which now matches his all pioneer system. He gave great deal and was cheaper then the piece of crap he got on a 10" sub from crutchfield. And he gives 1 year warranty on his merchandise. Located in Waipahu along Farrington Highway. I didn't catch the name of the guy helping my BF but he seemed friendly and helpful. Parking is right in front and inside the store is really nice! A/C at full blast (felt good!) and a TV to watch while the BF shops. A black leather couch facing the TV is where I sat... and it was super comfy. My BF ended up buying speaker wires (9 wire) for his sounds. $3/ft and we needed 15ft... so $45 + tax. I guess the BF said not too many places sell this wire... I had a car alarm installed because my car remote stopped working. It was a basic install, but I had a problem with the unit not consistently unlocking the vehicle so the gang here worked to fix the problem by adding relays to boost the signal. It worked, and despite adding more time for the fix, it was no extra charge. Honest and professional people. Gotta like that. read more

This shop is not professional. I was requested here by a shop that did an excellent job with my refabricating my headliner and shift boot. I went in for an estimate and was refered to a guy named Sam. I told him i wanted a aftermarket double din screen installed in my toyota and told him i was just at A+ audio and they quoted me $500. This is just a stereo change out. So he immediately quoted me $450 to beat the competition and showed me 2 double dins to choose from. I seen an alpine deck so he said that would be a hundred more. I told him even $500 cash and Im willing to do it ASAP. He thought it over and accepted. Before leaving, i told him I had 6 CD's stuck in the stock stereo and if he could take it out and he immediately replied yes they would do that for me. When the vehicle was done they had brought it out and showed me what they did. I was satisfied and went back into the shop to pay the balance. AND THAT WAS IT... I went out to my car and noticed that he did not hand me a reciept or the CD's that he had agreed to remove from the stock stereo. So i went back in and he said that the stick stereo was on my back seat and i could try to remove it myself... I was pissed! I kept my cool and asked them how come they couldn't remove it and he said they don't do that kind of work. YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT WHEN I ASKED YOU TO REMOVE IT! After that was established, i asked him for a receipt. He then went behind the counter and grabbed old crumply paper (top white page of receipt and found the yellow crumply back page reciept) and straighted it out. Shop is alright. They seem to have a good amount of products and have somewhat of a helpful staff. Where it sucks is the installation. My installer (forgot his name) seemed like he was in a rush to finish my simple sub/amp install or he just didn't feel like working on my car. The installer also did not screw down the fuse near the battery so the fuse ended up cracking a few months later. I may have went there on a bad day but I think there are definitely better shops out there. read more

A few weeks ago I brought my Toyota Camry that I just bought to have them check out my sound system since my subwoofer wasn't working properly. Within 25 minutes the problem was identified by Jad (Store Manager). He advised of the cost to repair my amp and I was super stoked because the cost wasn't what I was expecting to fix such a thing. I immediately said I'll do it and within 15 minutes my stereo was back in working order. I noticed a few days later that my reverse camera wasn't working so I called Jad up and asked if he was able to take a look at it. This was the second time I visited Professional Auto Sales. The first time I got a stereo installed a year ago by Harold. He spent an hour helping learn how to hook the speaker to my Bluetooth on my IPad and phone. He spent a lot of time helping me for a purchase of a good name brand Kenmore radio for only 100 dollars. So when my left front speaker went out I returned. Again Harold helped right away. He knew exactly what Kenmore speakers worked and it was only 80 dollars with installation!!!! The manager Sam also helped me today. He greeted me and thanked me for coming back. I told him I had a good first experience and so I returned. They only carry name brand systems. And service is so quick you can get a new stereo on your lunch break! The owner Sam assured me of the one year warranty if anything went wrong.
