Shanese and her team did a great job on our channel drain and pop up. They definitely live up to their name. Shanese, the owner, came out for an in-person estimate wearing a mask. She is knowledgeable and personable. After seeing our backyard and giving me a run down as to what they would like to do, she followed up later that evening with a detailed quote for the work. Her quote was fair and I honestly don't think I would get a better price from someone else that I trusted. Her team of 2 showed up, on time, and quickly got to work! I have to say the level of care that one of the guys put into wiping the concrete off the drain edges was something else. It was refreshing to see someone take pride in their work. The whole installation took a day and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Now we only have to wait for our next rainfall to see it out to work fully. Note to others: should have your grass cut to have a drain installed through the dirt, make sure to water it immediately. We were search for a drainage company and found Professional Drainage Experts from Yelp with all the great reviews. We also received a referral from Professional Foundation and found out is their sister's company. Brett came to inspect and gave the estimate within an hour. We also had a couple of appointments from other companies. Brett would check in once or twice a week and worked with us on pricing of the project since we had to fix the foundation issues as well. We really appreciated the follow up calls from Brett, it shows that they want the job. We had one company that didn't even show up on their appointment day. The first day of the project, we ran into some communications issues, Shanese (owner) called to apologize and ensure they will have 2 teams out the next day to make sure the project get done a faster. We had 8 guys show up the next day and worked tirelessly for 2 days. All were very professional and hard workers, I felt so bad since the soil was rock hard and the weather was pretty warm that day. Professional Drainage Experts never provided me the inspection report with recommendations and a bid for repairs. After inspecting the property and at the time of payment, the project manager promised follow-up with a report and pricing - like a termite or home inspector would as a part of the contract. A week later after I inquire several times, I get a call explaining the company does not do business and repairs in my area and they would not be providing me a report. When they came to quote, the owners spent a good amount of time educating us on what they believed the issue was and how it would be fixed. They noted that there could be foundation issues with a large tree root (luckily turned out ok). None of the other contractors that bid even mentioned it. We were kept informed along the way of any potential issues that came up as they dug up the ground. The workers were very professional and finished the job in 7 days, including a Saturday. They did a good job with keeping the worksite clean and safe as well. Although we haven't had a major rain yet to prove out the solution, I am feeling confident in the work that was performed. We had a totally inadequate drainage set up in our back yard, resulting in large amounts of water pooling on our hardscape and causing damage to our garage when it rained. Julio and his crew came out. came up with a design and approach to to a new gravity flow drainage system which totally solved our problem, while maintaining the integrity of our hardscape, tying in a downspout to the underground piping so as to minimize the saturation of the surrounding ground from rainfall, and beautifully cemented and finishing off the area where the drainage system emptied into the alley. All in all, we were very pleased with the professionalism, creativity and workmanship that went into the project. They thoroughly cleaned up the work area and returned the various plants and garden pots to their pre-work positions.
