This is a pretty nice spot, good for a more casual date night. Service was attentive and friendly. We had the crispy garlic chicken with brown rice and the waterfall beef salad. While we finished everything, the flavors leaned a bit too fusion-style for my taste, so I probably wouldn't return.

Best Thai Food in town! You can get traditional Thai food or some fusion dishes which I love it a lot! Highly recommend the Deep fried Enoki Mushroom!! The sauce is amazing! Also, the cocktails are so good. Staff are super friendly. I love the vibe!!!

My friend who lives in the neighborhood says this is her favorite Thai place and it did not disappoint! We had 11 people for lunch on Saturday. She made a reservation but the place was basically empty. They did a really cute reserved set up for us! They made it a square instead of a long table, which was awesome because we could all have one conversation. We got the special fried veggie rolls (5 pieces per order) for an appetizer. Tasty, nice plum sauce. We got the enoki mushroom appetizer and it was SO GOOD. I don't like mushrooms and I loved this dish. The mushrooms are battered and fried and served with a small bowl of curry with tofu, onions, tomatoes. We ripped off pieces of the mushroom and then spooned the curry over it. Beyond delicious. I will always get this when I come here. We all remarked on how good the sauce was--so flavorful and unique and delicious! This app default comes with pork, but we got it with tofu and therefore vegan/vegetarian. I'm vegan, and the menu marks items as vegetarian and the servers are very knowledgeable about ingredients and can make dishes "vegan style" or "vegetarian style." They made my Thai iced tea with coconut milk and it was SO good. Items we got vegan - pad kee mao with tofu and no egg (this one was unlike other pad kee maos I've had but still good, probably my least favorite dish though), sautéed green beans, and eggplant with tofu. Eggplant was my favorite, I love how soft and delicious it is. Other folks loved the pineapple curry fried rice (vegetarian) and crab fried rice. The people who work here are so kind and accommodating! One of our friends toppled their water bottle and the lid fell on the floor, and the server offered to wash it for him. We had two carafes of water on the table and they were basically refilled without us having to ask. All the food came out hot and fresh, it was great to do it family style but some people got their own too. The restaurant is spacious and they have videos playing on the tvs from the perspective of a person just walking through Thailand (or at least I assume that's what it was). I'll definitely be back!

I haven't been impressed with the restaurants in Maple Leaf, but I think this is the best one I've found so far! I thought the veggies were on the crunchy side and the flavor seemed to almost be molasses-y in the pad see ew (3.5/5 stars), I absolutely adored the peanut sauce although I wasn't as impressed with the chicken satay (3.5/5 stars), and I thought the beef masaman curry (3.5/5 stars) was light on the veggies but shockingly generous with the beef. I have ridiculously high restaurant standards, and this is the kind of restaurant that I'd go back to if a friend invited me. The only real red flag is the "okay" food service rating Service was fast and the building looked new and clean.

Tip: parking available on the side of the building. Walked in on a Friday for lunch to this restaurant almost bring empty. I was greeted promptly. I was planning to get food to-go, but decided to sit down for a relaxing meal. I ordered Khao Soi based on the server's recommendation. The curry sauce was delicious, but the chicken had a taste I didn't enjoy. I liked the pickled onion and mustard green. Service was good. I asked for hot water, and was given an entire pot.

Only sad pic we have of the night. So yummy though!

We had such a great time here. We rudely arrived at 8:30pm (9pm closing time) and they graciously received us... on our part we weren't even the last ones out even though we just wanted to keep eating. It wasn't long after we got home that we divided up the leftovers and devoured them. My wife and I eat a lot of Thai food, and I am not exaggerating when I say that was the best yellow curry I've ever had. Nothing seemed exaggerated or overdone. It was so fresh, and so full of flavor. Everything melded amazingly. The other dishes were the same - Tom Kha and Pad See You. I feel like it's hard for pad see you to be as impressive because deep down that is just greasy comfort food haha. But the soup was so fresh and tasty again. They were very good in accommodating our alteration requests to each dish, and it was very nice that the menu had gluten free dishes labeled. The server/bartender was so nice, very good at explaining and helping us decide, and made sure we had a good time. So glad to have come here, and I hope to return.

    Khao Soi!

I was on a mission to try a new Thai place and a dish I've never had. I accomplished both with aplomb at Yes Siam! I branched out and Tried the Khoa Soi. Holy Khao, it was Soi good! I was a little envious of the man bellied up to the bar who ordered the fingers of whiskey with his Pad Thai. But I guess I'll have to come back for drinks. Clean space with good service! Go here.

This is some of the best Thai food I've had in a while! Curry was so flavorful and savory. It really hit the spot on a cold day. Service was great. We were seated really quickly and they took our order fast. Really recommend this place!

Pad Phad Thai & Yellow Curry - delicious!!!
    Erica W.

My husband and I just bought a home in the area and were on the hunt for a good Thai spot! One night we decided to give Yes Siam Thai a go! We were welcomed by a nice woman, and taken to a table right away. We ordered Chicken Satay for a starter. It's a must when going for Thai! For entrees we ordered Pad Thai with Chicken - 2 star. (Since it was our first time, we ordered a low spice since we didn't know what to expect). Also ordered the Yellow Curry with Chicken & brown rice - 2 star. I was happy that they obliged my weird request of "potato & chicken only"! The food was all great. Definitely my favorite Pad Thai meal of all the Thai places I've tried. Come to find out from our Server, her and her cousin used to own our favorite Thai place in Everett. (All Rice Thai Hut is amazing if you're in that area!) The food was very similar and equally good! We have gone back several times since our first visit. We keep increasing the spiciness level. The last time I got the yellow curry as 4 star. Very good! Not over bearing hot, and you can still taste the amazing flavors. So happy to have found our "go to" Thai spot in the area, and on our first attempt!

Pad Thai is a staple and was good, but if you want something that has a ton of flavor and a nice mix of noodles and veggies, check out their drunken noodle dish Pad Kee Mao. They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were looking forward to the bold flavors we've come to love. The visit started off a bit oddly. The front desk server, Tar, asked to see my wife's ID--even though she's 36 years old and we weren't seated in the bar area. It felt inconsistent, especially since younger guests nearby weren't asked, and it's something we've never experienced at their other locations. Unfortunately, moments like that made us feel singled out, and honestly it sometimes feels like they tend to pick on Asians, whether intentional or not. That feeling alone made the experience uncomfortable and will likely make this our last visit to this location. That said, the table service was excellent. Moo took great care of us, and Cece from the bar was attentive and kept our water filled throughout the meal. Unfortunately, there were a few moments that took away from the experience. While I was taking photos of our dishes, a young staff member alongside Tar appeared to be giggling and mocking me, which made things uncomfortable. It may not have been intentional, but it didn't feel professional and only added to the awkward atmosphere we already felt. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies. The chicken didn't taste as good as we remember, and several plates had visible fingerprints, which was off-putting. The galvanized metal plates also gave off a slightly unrefined feel--more like cafeteria-style serving ware. Additionally, the sticky rice, which is usually presented in a traditional bamboo basket, was served in a Ziploc bag, which felt like a downgrade in presentation. On a positive note, the papaya salad and pad Thai were still very good and delivered the flavors we expect. We'll continue supporting Isarn, but we'll likely return to the Kirkland or Lynnwood locations next time. Sadly, after this experience, this Queen Anne visit will probably be our last.
