Major COOL points for Last Drop Bottle Shop!! I've been a handful of times. I have made several other attempts, but they don't open until 2pm on the weekends. (A few hours later than other breweries and taprooms in the area). Any way, I digress! Every time I have visited, I've always been impressed by the taplist. Any taproom that has Structures, Ravenna, Ruse, and Cloudburst on tap, I'm automatically a fan! (It'll keep me coming back!) NO Crap on tap! The bottle shop has a much better (QUALITY) selection than other competitors in the area!!! And not to mention, so reasonable!!! (Almost as good as buying at the source!) We weren't expecting such a great selection and great prices on 4-packs! We ended up purchasing a case of Structures beer! (We usually drive all the way up to Bellingham for cases, but it's nice to know we have the option so close to home!) I found my new favorite taproom in North Seattle! Great spot to have a beer. There's always vinyl spinning and the bartenders are cool. Always good, different rotating taps.

This place feels very unassuming at a glance, but they're actually doing really interesting things in a very low-key way. That approach goes a long, long way with me. From the outside, it's a modest-looking storefront with a couple of doors and plate-glass windows in a fairly old building. This is a stretch of Lake City Way that feels a little bit tidier and more presentable than a couple of spots down the hill, and there's parking in the lot right outside, and across the alley as well. There's good hustle and bustle here, and you can make an evening of it by having a meal at a bunch of spots nearby. Inside, they've set up a good spot to hang out and try interesting beers, and they've done it without breaking the bank. The tables and chairs are fine--nothing too fancy, but clean and sturdy. The bar is paneled entirely in these strange reddish-pink garage door pieces from an old Safeway in Ballard. It's comfortable and cool-looking, and there's no risk of splinters. Good choice all around. They have a couple TVs over the bar, often tuned to the game. There's one row of coolers, fairly full of beer, often with choices from some smaller Northwest breweries that aren't getting bottles into many other shops. They get a bunch of the rare stuff, too, and there's a definite emphasis on the local--OR, WA, and even ID (you don't see many Idaho breweries pouring around here, so that's cool). There are wire shelves with ciders and wine, too. They seem to have a knack for curating good stuff without being pretentious or pricey about it. I hope the wine inventory turns over quickly, though, because almost all of the bottles sit right in the window. There's no food, but one thing they do have that makes it a fun place is the vinyl collection. They have a couple hundred records, mostly rock and some funk, from late 60s through early 80s. They spin records rather than fill the place with TV audio. Watching the Dawgs and listening to Floyd and Zeppelin and Stevie Wonder definitely made my beer taste better. The prices here are competitive, and the stock is pretty compelling for even a geekier beer lover. They don't have the biggest stock, but they do get some of the good stuff. They have a bunch of taps as well as the bottles, and even with half a dozen kegs blowing on the day we were in (a couple while we were there), they still had a solid lineup for sure. We found multiple beers to enjoy. They serve them in plastic cups, which is pretty informal but definitely not a downer. The staff here are super nice, and the dazzlingly charming servers from next door came over and hung out after their shift ended. Turned out to be a great spot to visit. read more

This place is a really nice little bottle shop and the fact that it's 3 blocks form my new house in Maple Leaf is great. The people there are helpful, though sometimes they are less knowledgeable about the beers they're less interested in than you'd like. I had somebody who was really into IPAs recommending them to me even though I repeatedly said I really preferred stouts. That being said, the selection is really good. It's skewed toward much higher-end beer which is great for grabbing a really nice 750 of something interesting, but it can be a bit harder to just find a six-pack of something you're going to drink for the week. If you live in the neighborhood or this is on your beaten path, this is a great place to pick up some really good beer. If it's out of the way for you, then maybe just suck it up and make the pilgrimage to Bottleworks. read more

This is a very good, small beer bar. Excellent variety on tap (which means more than 40% of the beers are NOT Imperial IPAs). Cozy bar. Easy to get too with parking nearby. Very cool staff who are not elitist dicks. Great pricing on growler fills. Retail selection is pretty deep. Honestly, with QFC, Met Mark and PCC stocking quite a few good beers nowadays, it's tougher to find specialness in a beer bottle shop. But rest assured, finds can be had here that will not be seen elsewhere. Plus the bottles are fresh. read more

I actually wandered in here one day while waiting for food from a nearby restaurant. Perhaps the best way to describe my experience is through the following conversation. Salesman: Can I help you find anything? Brad: Yes do you have anything really great and seasonal? Salesman: Yes! It's fresh hops season! Do you like hops? Brad: Yes Salesman: Yes, but do you really like hops? Brad: Yes Salesman: But, do you like "punch you in the face hops" Brad: Yes! Salesman: Then you need to go with the Leafer Madness Brad: Perfect I went home, and was quite pleased with my choice. This place had a good selection and great service. I love that you can drink in store (a big advantage over buying beer at the grocery store, for example). Sit down and enjoy a pint, and then leave with a growler! Well worth the stop. read more

This is a great place. It is very easy to get to, and they have parking. They have a very nice selection of cold and ready beer, which is organized by style, but they have also have much in dry stock on the sales floor, including wine. The staff is more than welcoming, and in addition, very knowledgeable about their beers. They also have made an order or two of a Polish beer that I love, which was very kind of them. They also have about six or so taps, and rotate very regularly. They often have beer tastings too. They also have beer. read more

Stopped by last Sunday night - around 9:30 pm after a walk with my pooch. First time and what a great time! Sean Brady - serving up draft beer and cider . Super knowledgeable about the beverages and gave me samples to make sure I was happy with my beverage. I decided on a delightful cider!My dog was allowed in and they even had treats for her! Great selection, good prices, and knowledgeable staff. What else could you possibly want or rate a beer shop on?! I have not taken advantage of the growler exchange program yet, but hope to soon. What I really like is going in and browsing the larger bottles of limited beers and beers and you don't normally see in 12oz bottles in the grocery store. The only place around that might have a fairly close selection is Whole Foods, but the prices at the Last Bottle Shop are much better. read more

This is a locals joint, its casual, dog-friendly, full of great taps, smart beer people, 2 TVs that feature sports and irreverent movies, they play vinyl, you can grab a slice or thai next door, and an occassional beer event. Not just a great store with a superb selection! The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, and if you are lucky enough to happen by during one of their beer tastings (call for a schedule, it's not that consistent) you can try great beers and meet representatives from the breweries! If you're a fan of specialty beers and local WA wines this is your place. I have bought some of the most unique beer! I have tried a Porter that tasted chocolaty and smooth, a Belgium that was light and airy, and a Scotch ale that had a smokey coffee flavor that lasted long after my first sip. This place is a gem in the Maple Leaf neighborhood! The staff knows what they are talking about, and have likely tried every beer, or at least talk like they do, and are super friendly. Great place. I lived walking distance when this fine establishment first opened, but unfortunately have moved since then. I still try and go out of my way to stop by and get a growler fill from time to time. They have a fairly decent rotating tap and the friendly staff are always willing to give you a taste before you fill. The bottled selection is pretty decent. They have most of what I look for in German weisse biers and Northwest IPAs and Stouts. Not quite the inventory of say, Bottleworks, but they're on their way. read more

Stay away from this business! I'm a neighbor, right behind this store. Thought of this as a neighborhood business but was wrong. In the evenings there is no place to park my car when I come home... customers from this business park on front of my house. There is a shared parking lot where I will park when I can't park by my house. The owner of the business leaves very nasty notes and threatens to tow my car. When I talked to him about it, he was belligerent. My alternative is to part 3 blocks away and walk my kids to my house. Not a very good neighbor, was much nicer before this business went in. The neighbors in the area are agreeing to boycott all businesses who use the lot until we can park. Very poor business practice to abuse the neighbors. read more

The Last Drop Bottle Shop has a vibe that is very relaxed almost to the point of apathy. Last time I was there, one of the bartender's dogs took a seat on the bar stool next to me before being distracted by the door opening. A couple customers were sitting at the end of the bar enjoying eating pungent slices of pizza that they brought over from Little Caesar's. The bartender even served me my beer in a plastic cup, because I guess they can't be bothered to wash glasses. I appreciate that it is definitely not an uptight bar, but their laissez faire attitude seems at odds with their (ostensibly) carefully chosen selection of craft beers. Instead of being passionate about the beer and sharing their knowledge and opinions with the customers, the bartenders take orders and pour drinks with an attitude that would make you think that every tap dispenses Coors Light. It's strange. They have so many cool beers, but they don't seem the least bit excited about it. Although my review seems negative, I don't dislike this bar. They have an outstanding selection, and I really like that you can enjoy beer on tap there or buy bottles and take them home. If you love beer, you should definitely check it out. I just wish they would take a little more pride in their shop. read more

No phone; Terrible at taking keg orders. Apathetic employees/owner. I wanted to support this local, neighborhood business but I won't be ordering kegs through them anymore. The phone number listed everywhere has been disconnected for a year or more. You have to call the Hudson (pub next door), tell them you want the bottle shop, then call back and hope the bottle shop answers when the phone continues ringing. I've spent the last 6 weeks trying to get them to order a pilsner; they've forgot and/or lost my information 3 times now. I gave Last Drop 5 stars when they opened because it seemed great at the time and had a ton of potential. Since then, I don't know what has happened but it seems to be falling apart. The beer selection feels smaller, the staff enthusiasm is almost non-existent, their open hours are pretty goofy, and the added hackneyed bar isn't doing anyone favors. Props for trying to do a beer shop on the cheap, but holy shit this place could be great if the owners actually cared to run a business and invest a little time and effort. 28 taps of awesome beers. Everytime I have come in, the draft board has a bunch of new things. Never gets old. Plus there is everything in the coolers. There is limited fridge space, so thankfully none of it wasted on cases of Coors/Miller/InBev crap. Nothing but domestic craft and imported beers. The bartenders are quick to offer a complementary taster (or two) while you are contemplating which beer sounds good. The plastic cups are kind of lame, but the staff explained that it is a health code thing and that it's out of their hands unless the owner figures out a way to install a 3 bay sink. It seems to be about 90% regulars from the neighborhood that come and sit at the bar, which is kind of cool. People are generally pretty friendly. There's a pretty decent vinyl collection. You can bring food in and enjoy it while you drink (and there is a Pagliacci's next door that sells by the slice). Also, a pretty big outdoor patio in back. 10/10 would do again. read more

I don't like Hudson's (same owner), but I have been frequenting this place in the past few months to buy wine. Every bottle I've bought from there has been good. No one who works there has helped me choose any bottles, nor do I think they know anything about wine, but the bottles have been good. So the owner must know something about wine. Hence the four stars...for the bottles of wine. read more

Great establishment! Very basic formula but it works so well. The beers on tap are great, fridge is full of more rare beers (heavy on ipas) and the staff are excellent. Really enjoy the down to earth atmosphere, good music played on a regular basis, and would happily recommend this bar to anyone looking for a quality pint drinking experience. read more
