We came to the conclusion that upgrading wouldn't be worth it. A heat pump would require a new electrical panel, there were no incentives as I'm propane & not electric, and the duct work is not set up for AC. I wasn't pressured or upsold to a system that would be of no benefit to me but would have made them a tidy profit. We did however, decide that my 25 year old furnace was on it's last legs & needed to be replaced. An appropriate sized unit was chosen. The installers arrived on Monday and finished it in one day. There was a glitch in the exhaust plumbing that was discovered a few days later. I called and since it was late in the day, said that tomorrow would be OK. A technician was there in an hour. He called the office and told them it would take a couple of hours to fix. Once again, I said tomorrow would be OK as we have wood heat too. He got it all fixed then had to run off to another call. The thermostat wasn't working right and they sent someone all the way out to reprogram it. I couldn't ask for better service. Maybe I could have gotten a better price, I didn't check but for what they've done it was worth what I paid. Good solid company after the sale.

Our A/C quit working in the middle of a 100+ degree heatwave. I contacted several companies, but most could not make a service trip to me for several days. I was pleasantly surprised that Whirlwind could make it out the next day. Turns out they are great at what they do. Ivan spoke with me on the phone to discuss what was wrong and what might be the cause that night. The next morning, he was here by 9:30am to trouble shoot. Within an hour the A/C was up and running and Ivan had put everything back as it was. Costs were very reasonable and, more importantly, they were exactly as stated before arrival. I liked most that Whirlwind was great at communicating with me, the customer. Both over the phone and in person. They were clear about the types of problems I could be facing with a 17+ year old system and what the worse case might be (full replacement since my A/C uses a now banned refrigerant). While they checked out the system, they kept me informed every step of the way and I earned a few things. When they finished, everything was put back in place, just as it was when they arrived. The wrong cover had been installed and just taped on rather than getting screwed on. No tape I can find will hold it on and the air pressure forces it open again. I called Earthwise to have them fix it. My first call was May 18. They didn't call back. Two more calls in the next week got me the reply of "We are busy". They need to make this good by getting the correct part or fabricating one. The AC unit was well over $3000. I have made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

When the power came back, it killed the thermostat of my Lennox HVAC system. The problem is that you can just get any other thermostat as it has only 4 wires... and no Lennox thermostats available in stores. So, I called for help on Yelp and Home Comfort Heating & Air responded very quickly, they had a thermostat available in stock, and believed they could re-wire my system to make it work. Noe came and did all of that in less than an hour, checking also the furnace and condensation pump. All in all, they were available on a holiday (today was MLK day), answered all my questions, were efficient in the solution, and very reasonable in the cost. They won my business, and I can't recommend them enough for any HVAC work. They are truly amazing.

When I followed up, staff were completely unapologetic. They refused to reschedule me until more than a month after the original appointment--conveniently after all promotional offers on the Generac units had expired. This level of disregard for a customer's time and the appearance of deliberately waiting out promotions before offering service is unacceptable. Four Seasons demonstrated zero professionalism and zero respect for its customers. I will not do business with them and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
