Oh how I love Saturday Brunch with the girls! It has been a minute since I was at Prospect and I realized I had never eaten at Prospect. Wow, I have been missing out. We split the breakfast flat bread with scrambled eggs, bacon, caramelized onions. So delicious. Friend had the buffalo chicken flatbread. The service was awesome! Cocktails flowed and great girlfriend time was had by all.

Love the new streamlined menu, all our favorites are still there. Goat cheese ball and Brussels appetizers, along with my favorite Margaret Street flatbread. Service was a little disjointed and one of our table's entrees was slow to come out, did not get prepared as requested and was not warm. Drink refills were also hit or miss. Hoping it was just an off evening.

Absolutely love prospect. It's not our first trip but our first time trying all of these appetizers and they were cooked to perfection. I was a little bummed about how empty the restaurant was on a Thursday night because it is such a great spot. Our waitress was fantastic and even recommended a to go dessert since we were so stuffed.

First meal I've had in Jacksonville and I found a little gem. It was the number 2 spot on Yelp in the neighborhood, and I can see why. The service behind the counter by Kay was excellent, I settled on the chicken tostones nachos on a whim and it was an excellent portion/really tasty. The inside was comfortable! First off, I'll disclose I did not manage to get a picture of the menu. The menu is currently different than what's currently posted to yelp. As we were handed a menu that shown brunch specials but we arrived 10 minutes after the brunch cut off. The other side did show current options. Next this place is dog friendly on the patio and that was a welcomed surprise! They even brought some dog treats over for my dog. Our waiter was pleasant and informative for our first time. Only thing I'd say is when I ordered the chicken sandwich it was pictured with a fried chicken patty. My menu didn't describe if the sandwich I was order was fried or grilled. But once it arrived it was grilled and thankfully was still very good. Fries were perfectly crispy and not cold. And the shrimp tacos I'd consider were just normal, nothing special about them. But The drink was great and I had no complaints about it. Overall a great place for a Sunday meal if you have your pet with you. As the place was clean and had covered seating while outdoors. Just be ready to ask questions about the menu so you are confident what you're ordering.

When you walk in you might be confused where to go but I was told I could sit anywhere. I opted for the front bar dining room. It was a sat night and not super busy inside. More People oustide. They have 2 bars and seemed like most people were working in both areas. I started out order a sparkling flight. Had a cava a Prosecco and a rose. It took more than 15 min for my drinks to be brought to me which I thought was strange. The server did check back in multiple times and tell me it was coming but for something they didn't have to make it seemed like a long time. We stayed with goat cheese balls and short rib sliders. While ordered for the same course they came out at different times. We finish the goat cheese and then the sliders came. Both hot and tasty the cheese balls had hi ey and pistachios on them and we yummy. The sliders had great buns and the creme of Brie was delish. For dinner we ordered the burger and fries and the chicken lollipops with lemon pepper. The fries were a standout crispy hot and well seasoned. Salty in the best way. The chicken came out and I was surprised they were a large lollipop not a wing and very substantial. The Lemon Pepper sauce was wet and had heat but it as tangy also. My bf didn't finish his burger as he said it was ill but just kinda regular. Chicken was standout and we shared it. I didn't see dessert menu but we were full. For these items we were there almost 2 hours. Start to finish. Food was good and hot but timing seemed off. I can appreciate that all seemed fresh. !!

I finally tried their burger- top shelf. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, thick bacon, brioche bun and a pile of crispy fries. Welcome Prospect to the Riverside Burger Elite!

We stopped in for happy hour with a reservation and were seated promptly. The service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed a glass of wine and an old fashioned with our appetizers. The sliders and the flatbreads were large enough for a light meal. We both enjoyed our food and look forward to visiting again soon.

Came here for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was a lovely experience. The server was super sweet and gave us a pecan pie on the house (with a bday candle). We shared the whipped jalapeño honey ricotta which was pretty tasty but needed some more jalapeños. We do love a good kick! I had the hot chicken sliders as my entree and it was made just right. Especially loved the cucumbers; it provided a nice crunch. The dining area had good lighting and was intimate and really great for chats.

Still my favorite restaurant in Five Points Riverside area. Yes, even better than Orsay. Consistently good food and service. They have a great Happy Hour and rotating weekly specials so follow their Instagram. But remember they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We regularly go to Prospect House once or twice a week. The food is always delicious, the service is impeccable and the happy hours are unbelievable. We've been doing this for over three years. Tonight we went there for Thanksgiving and I don't know why anyone would ever cook at home when they could come here and get a fabulous meal.

Nice place to have dinner. The service was great. It was a nice warm day out so we decided to sit outside. The sun began to fall and the buggies started coming out so we moved inside and it was just as nice!! A nice glass of bubbly with some shared food with family. The steak was tender and juicy. Fries where crispy. Brussel sprouts were flavorful. The Brushetta board was definitely a hit. I hope these pictures make your mouth water because remembering makes mine!

Really quaint and yummy spot for a hangout with friends or a date! Stopped in a bit earlier than our reservation time on a Friday to have a drink at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and recommended lots of great things on the menu. Their house Pinot Grigio was really good too! While the restaurant was a lot smaller than I thought, it made it feel very intimate. For dinner, we started with the Truffle Frites ($10) - super truffley and a great recommendation by the bartender. Someone I was with had the Seasonal Burger, which was short rib and brisket with mac and cheese, picked onions, and BBQ sauce - really good! Someone else had the Sydney Flatbread ($14) and loved it. We also had the Beef Short Rib Sliders ($15) recommended by the bartender and they were great, the fig jam wasn't too sweet. Lastly, I took the bartender's final recommendation of the White Truffle Gnocchi with Grilled Chicken ($25) and LOVED it. A little salty but the gnocchi was so light and fluffy, and the sauce was heavenly. I want to go back and get it again!! Would definitely go back to Prospect Five Points and recommend it to others! They had a cute inside and outside area for any occasion!

1. Not a food thing but EVERYONE had a mask on and UP OVER their noses!!!! Hooray @ 2. Food.... the brussel spouts on a scale of 1 to 10 were at least an 11. They were tasty and CRISPY...for you vegetarians they did have bacon in them but I bet they would accommodate your food preferences. We also had the meat and cheese plate, the calamari and a Flatbread pizza..all good. Oh by the way the calamari did include more than just 'rings' Service was very good. read more

I tried this restaurant last night to meet up with a friend. I really liked that I was able to make an outdoor reservation and we were promptly seated. We started with the ahi tuna stack which was totally fresh and great tasting and a light start to the meal. I had the grilled chicken pesto gnocchi which I really enjoyed. It was cooked really well and a nice portion size. My friend enjoyed the salmon which i immediately regreted that i didnt get based on how it looked, so I have something to look forward to ordering when i come back. You might call the happy hour great but for me the $3 wine is not compelling because its a cheap wine to begin with, but the wine flights look fun and also reasonably priced. I am looking forward to my next visit!! read more

I absolutely love coming here. The staff and owners are so sweet and friendly, and the food and drinks are phenomenal. We recently had the rose and elderflower spritz drink special and couldn't have just one. I can't recommend the following appetizers enough: pistachio goat cheese balls, crispy brussels with bacon, and the ahi tuna and avocado stack. Great atmosphere, even better food! I went on a blind date at 7 pm on a Friday night. I'm so glad I made a reservation. It was packed. The downstairs was much too loud to hold a conversation but our waiter, Anthony, told us they are installing sound absorbing walls this week. Long story short, Anthony found us another quieter spot & we had a wonderful time!! We will definitely be back soon!!! read more

So I really wanted to like this place- the decor from the pics; the menu pics I've seen on social media; the description of foods from the menu- it all seemed promising. But I'm sad to report the food was underwhelming. The service was wonderful and I'm sure this place would be amazing for pre/post dinner cocktails or as an aprés diem. But the food just didn't have a wow factor for taste. We started with their crispy Brussels sprouts with applewood bacon, sprinkled with Parmesan and the crispy calamari. The Brussels weren't crispy; if anything, oily. The calamari was okay but lacked flavor (living in Florida, we've had our fair share of calamari). We shared the Brooklyn flatbread ("Fresh Mozzarella,Sharp Provolone, Marinara, Tomato, Basil"). Again okay. Be warned, it's cooked Neapolitan style- which I particularly like. But some diners may be taken aback by the "wet" middle and crispy thin airy crust. I liked the cooking style of the flatbread but the toppings were just okay. I think the best dish was surprisingly dessert- and I'm usually not one to order dessert! We had the bourbon pecan pie, which came with ice cream. You could taste the bourbon flavor in the pie and the crust was flaky and delightful. I want to give it another chance at a later date, but I'll probably stick to their cocktails versus their food. COVID precautions: plenty of outdoor seating. We were seated quickly for a Saturday evening at 9pm. Tables were a little close but hey we were outdoors. Staff wore masks. read more

This place is great and new. Our bartender Maisie was amazing. The ahi tuna and avocado was excellent along with the goat cheese balls and roasted Brussel sprouts. The drinks are excellent. If you're a local or from out of town, go to this place! From start to finish everything was perfect. Our table enjoyed the Margaret St and Sydney flatbread, pistachio goat cheese balls, meat and cheese board and bruschetta board. Our server Anthony was awesome (really awesome) and the chef came out and made sure everything was to our liking. I love the atmosphere as well. They have outdoor and indoor seating. My friend and I decided to get a quick bit to eat after work before an event. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating. The drinks were great, but the flatbreads were amazing. I was looking for something to eat that wasn't coated in grease and fried, so I decided to go to prospect for a flatbread. I got the Brooklyn and wow. It was SO good. Even the edges of the bread where nothing was on it was amazing. I also got the corned beef sliders they were doing for st Patrick's day and they were okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the apple(?) slaw they had on it, but it was inventive. First time here and it won't be my last! I started with a glass of Frisk Prickly Riesling- delicious, very refreshing. I went with two friends and we all shared pistachio crusted goat cheese balls, crispy Brussels with applewood smoked bacon, beef short rib sliders, truffle fries, and the bruschetta board (3 types). We all went in starving and couldn't finish it all! Everything I tried was delicious but my favorites were the sliders and Brussels sprouts. I can't wait to go back with my fiancé! Whether it's 11 am after a night of drinking or 7pm for some wine and food , this place is 11 stars in my book. The breakfast flatbread put me into a fugue state of bliss and the mimosas changed the way I think about this country. Solid atmosphere and great staff, I tipped 35% (not bragging). We can't seem to get enough of prospect! The food is phenomenal, the service is excellent, and the people inside the building are as nice as can be! It has become our favorite restaurant in 5 points. They do an excellent job around the holidays with unique seasonal foods and cocktails that have blown us away. They also have a daily special menu that is filled with fantastic deals. Prospect Five Points is what happens when two wonderful Hospitality workers are displaced by the pandemic and they decide "why not do it ourselves?" They have succeeded. Everything on the menu was delicious; the specialty cocktails, the house wine (they have a GREAT Monday Happy Hour), the flat-breads, the short-rib sliders, everything. Want to bring your dog? They have a great outdoor patio, with a beautiful mural. Prefer to dine inside? The decor and ambiance is beautiful as well. Excellent food and choice of wines. The goat cheese balls with lavender honey are delicious. I get the Margaret St flatbread and request a drizzle of the lavender honey on top which is to die for. Throw in a couple glasses of the Gewurztraminer and I'm a happy girl. read more

At first I thought it was due to a fresh mopping and they had just forgotten a sign, but it stayed extremely hard to navigate the entire meal. Let's get into the highlights: some of the freshest table side guacamole I've ever had. Made right in front of you and you get a ton for what you pay for. My lunch portion of my Yucatán Quesadilla was only $9.99 as it was a Friday and it was just okay. Unfortunately, I did have to cut it myself. The "small" margarita for $12.99 is absolutely gigantic. In fact, every drink I saw come out was of ginormous proportion and seems to be the main draw here. Unfortunately, I was a bit let down by both the salsa, as even though there was a full bar, none of the options were all that tasty. The biggest detractor was honestly the service. Our server was extremely nice on the surface, but every opportunity was used to upsell by every member of the staff. A bigger drink, another appetizer, another drink, handing us their card and asking for a review following paying. I normally never have issue with this but it became overwhelming at a certain point. This restaurant absolutely feels like it has potential, but might suffocate over its mistakes in an extremely crowded Town Center/Southside Market.

It deeply saddens me to share that one of my cherished Jacksonville restaurants seems to have lost its way. Under the previous owners, it felt like a second home, a place where the bartenders were always jovial, the servers were exceptional, and the weekly specials email was a highlight of my week. However, since the change in ownership, a noticeable shift has occurred. The beloved specials have vanished, and the once vibrant staff now appear downcast and disheartened. The quality of the food has also regrettably declined. It's truly disheartening to witness, as it's evident that the new owners haven't fostered the same loving and supportive environment that once made this establishment so special. Even their social media presence reflects this downturn, appearing amateurish and lacking the previous charm. I long to rekindle my affection for this former haven, but I fear it may never be the same. I implore the new owners to hear my plea and restore the warmth and care that once defined this place. Perhaps a fresh chef could revitalize the menu, bringing back those dishes made with love. Writing this review has been a painful experience, especially after canceling our New Year's Eve reservation and being disappointed on two subsequent visits. I've walked past this place countless times, always telling myself I'd give it a try, but I finally did today--and I'm so glad I did! I was craving a salad and, after checking out the menu, the chicken lollipops caught my eye. Where has Prospect Five Points been all this time? For the first time, a server asked how I wanted my salmon cooked--rare, medium rare, or medium! I've been stuck with dry, overcooked salmon for years, but this rare salmon was perfection - juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The salad was amazing too, with fresh arugula and pickled onions in the perfect vinaigrette. And the homemade key lime pie? Absolute magic - not too sweet, not too sour.
