We got Frontier fiber installed back in December 2025. But since the line is across the street they…read morehad to run it through the air across the street, tie it to one of my trees and then drape it diagonally across my front lawn about 250 ft to my house. It was fine when the snow was on the ground but I've been having to move it around each time I mow my lawn now. I've called them repeatedly to have them bury the line and they've given me three dates now that came and went, and aside from the initial visit, where they texted me saying they couldn't bury the line because of snow, the other two dates came and went without giving me a reason. I've been calling them every month now having them give me full credit for each month the job remains unfinished.

Then out of the blue, zero services - no Internet (we have jobs and kids who need access for school) and since TV came over the line, none of that either. Every morning, noon and evening I'd get a text saying restoration of service by X (i.e. 4pm the same day). After a day or two that showed itself to be a straight lie. No human to talk to on the phone, either. This baiting fraud went on for two weeks until we switched back to Spectrum. They owed me $7.01 per their recurring bill and kept it for months and months instead of just sending me a check. Eventually they sent a prepaid MasterCard I never requested containing my $7.01 which, if I activated, screwed me over with annual fees, etc. I finally got in touch with someone in the Philippines who said they'd send me a check; haven't gotten it yet - been about a week. Frontier is about the worst company with which i've had the displeasure of doing business. Shady and unfair business practices at every turn, in my view. Stay always unless you're a masochistic glutton for punishment. Consider yourself warned.

This isn't necessarily an indictment of this particular Spectrum store -…read more my experience with the staff was fine. My frustration is with Spectrum's service and pricing as a company. After nearly 20 years as a customer, through all the mergers and name changes, I finally closed my account. It always seemed like rates kept creeping up, while long-time loyal customers were the ones paying the highest prices. New customers got the deals; existing customers got the shaft. The final insult was discovering that Spectrum doesn't prorate your final bill when you cancel. After two decades of loyalty, that left a particularly bad taste. A disappointing way to end what had been a very long customer relationship.

I don't often leave negative reviews, but after spending the past two months trying to resolve a…read moresimple issue, I feel like this experience is worth sharing. This is about the service as a whole, not this particular store. I canceled my Spectrum Internet service just four days into a new billing cycle. During my cancellation call, I was told that I would receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of the month. That wasn't just mentioned in passing--it was documented in the notes on my account. When more than a month passed without receiving the refund, I called back. The second representative reviewed the account notes, confirmed that I should be receiving a prorated refund, and opened a formal issue on my behalf, even providing me with an issue number for reference. A few days ago, I received an email stating that my issue had been closed and that I would receive a $0 refund because my account "does not meet the criteria outlined in our credit policy." I called a third time and was eventually connected with a manager. He explained that Spectrum's policy has been not to prorate service for roughly ten years and walked me through the terms and conditions. I appreciate him taking the time to explain the policy, but that wasn't really my concern. My concern was that I had now been told twice--by two different representatives--that I would receive a prorated refund. The second representative even confirmed the first representative's notes and escalated the issue. If the policy has truly been in place for a decade, then this doesn't seem like an isolated mistake by a single employee. It seems like a training or communication issue. What disappointed me most was that the resolution seemed to focus on notifying the original representative about the miscommunication rather than taking ownership of the customer experience. When I pointed out that this appeared to be a broader management or training issue, I was told that the representative wasn't someone the manager supervised. At that point, it felt like everyone was willing to acknowledge that Spectrum had given me incorrect information, but no one was willing to take responsibility for the consequences of that misinformation. This review isn't really about the amount of the refund. I can accept a company having a policy I don't like. What I have a much harder time accepting is being told one thing, having it documented in my account, having it confirmed a second time, spending months following up, and then ultimately being told, "Actually, no," with no meaningful accountability for the time and effort that process cost. If Spectrum doesn't prorate service, that's their policy. Customers should simply be told that from the beginning.
