I have received treatments from June for nearly 7 years. I don't trust anyone else to do my massages, as she customizes her massage based on my needs each week. If I am sore from running or leg workouts she will focus on that, or if I have an injury she will work to help return flexibility to the impacted area. Many of June's clients are pro-athletes, and it is not uncommon to run into a Shark or 49er before or after an appointment as they are coming or going from her shop. This is my first time here, and I absolutely LOVE this place.i have been getting massages regularly for more than three years now and as a dancer, my body is frequently sore. Even though this is a small place, it's very homy and relaxing when you step in. The background music is super soft and perfect for massage. June definitely has skills! She is the first person that I felt like get the whole body connection. She works with your breathing and tries to relax the Tighten parts from your toes all the way to your neck. She also gives amazing stretches that I don't see in other massage places. my thighs were really tight when I walked in and she used her elbows to help gently smoothen the tight parts. It's great that she gets it deep to just the right amount; just enough to relax you and not overwhelm you. I didn't even know I had three tight spots on my right thigh until meeting her. One other small detail, I like how she dimmed the lights even further before asking you to turn around. That definitely helps with relaxation. If my friend who came here for four years didn't recommend this place, I would have missed it.. This isn't the area I usually come visit. But I'm glad I didn't. Best massage ever. In town visiting family and for Tony Robbins. Needed a massage to release some tension in my body and this was a good find. June is a true artist and was able to release muscles that other masseuse were unable to. This was a very deep tissue massage great for athletes or people with tense muscles. I've had a few massages before. I've been looking for a place that's nearby (walking distance, yay) and could help me with my occasional upper back pains. June was very helpful. She knew I had an aversion to Thai-style and she was familiar with people's aversion to that style of massage. She was mostly gentle and very receptive to feedback. She used a decent amount of massage oil, and did a great job of removing it after the massage was over. At the end I wanted to fall asleep, I was super relaxed. I hope to make this a regular treat. Not with June, I have had two sessions and each time I feel truly rejuvenated. Your fist appointment you fill out your typical medical history. You chat with June on how you feel and what you hope to achieve. Then the work starts, I never had a Thai massage before but I could tell she used various technics, like an artist. June is charming, engaging and a good listener, from the first session it felt like I was a regular client. Once my session was done, my first thought was over already, in a good way! I could have stayed there for hours. By the time I walked out the door I could feel my self getting better and better. By the time I was home I felt like a new person, I have never had that happen from a massage before. This is something that is hard to explain and you must experiance yourself. She is so intuitive and knows my problem areas within minutes of being on the table. Her massage style is the best I have ever experienced. She combines traditional Thai with Swedish and other modalities and customizes it based upon what I need the most that day - whether that be deep tissue, stretching or the more soothing Swedish style. As an avid runner I book sessions with June as often as I can, and I always walk out feeling 100%+ better and can count on feeling that way for days afterwards. I have been going to June for a few years. The standout for me is the Thai stretch massage. It can be pretty intense, but your body will thank you later. She has studied several massage modalities which she combines to give you a more relaxing or invigorating massage depending on what you need. Her studio is very comfortable, quite unusually pleasant actually. She is very professional and personable at the same time. After 50 hours of sitting in front of a computer, a 90 minute massage by June is an essential part of my weekend stress reset routine. I was disappointed that the time that I paid for included filling put the paperwork and showering, maybe that's typical in the San Jose area (I am from out of town and had to walk to my appointment). The price also seemed higher than other comparable places in the area. The massage was very good. June really seemed to know what she is doing. However, she did seem pretty focused on any stock tips that I may have. Overall, the experience was good and bad. I've been getting massages for at least 25 years. And June is by far the best masseuse I've ever been to! Keep in mind that her style is Thai, so she goes really deep. But if that's what you need to release your tight muscles, like I do, I highly recommend going to see her. She has an amazing touch and knows exactly when and where to adjust the pressure. She then adds in stretching to really loosen your muscles. This is also the first review I have ever given so that should show how great I believe she is! Her studio is quiet, clean and easy to locate. but leave a few minutes early because getting a parking spot is sometimes hard to find.
