I didn't have anything very complex to fix, just a laptop that died on me and I needed a diagnosis that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I wanted to erase the hard drive before recycling it because I was pretty sure it was not worth trying to repair it. I'd researched the common problems with my particular model of Acer Aspire (overheating) and wasn't sure if it was worth trying to replace parts (only to not have them work). At first Matthew thought he could salvage the machine but the same problem of overheating kept happening while he was working on it. So he informed me it wasn't worth it, and just got my data, music, photos, and downloads off the hard drive (for which I paid $50). If he were able to repair the machine, he said it would've cost me $160. I trust these guys. Matthew is a genius. Service is so fast and so professional. They also have great deals on refurbs, ie: Mac desktop for $380 (wowza), Sony Vaio for $500, etc.

Most places including the Apple Store said it wasn't even worth attempting a fix. I didn't have it properly backed up and it was just awful as u can imagine. I asked Shang if I could fed ex it to him and just try, whatever he could do. I sent it from NYC to him and was trying to figure out what I would do if he couldn't fix it. Well, I am now using it to write this review! I got it back a month ago, quickly, and have NPs! It's all backed up too so I won't have that problem again. He said it might overheat and reboot or have some problems, but other than the battery itself being wonky, it works just fine! It'll carry me til the new model comes out, which is great.
