Triple Berry Acai Bowl $12 - Great flavor and loaded with berries and granola. I would definitely come back here for an acai bowl if I was in the area. I need to try The Elvis that has the peanut butter on top next time. When I came during a weekday morning, there was no line. I used the self order kiosk at the counter and got my acai bowl in minutes. Located right across from the Sears tower. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

Ordered pickup while at a conference. I got the tofu wrap and my colleague got the tofu bowl. I quite enjoyed mine. Thought it was delicious, fresh, and healthy. Lightly and bright seasoned. Tofu was firm and plentiful. This kept me full until dinner.

Decent Spot with Room for Improvement I visited the Protein Bar & Kitchen near Willis Tower and ordered the Mexicali Bowl along with the PB&J protein smoothie. Overall, the experience was just okay and didn't quite meet expectations for a health-focused fast-casual spot. The smoothie, made with peanut butter, berries, almond milk, and agave, tasted more like a dessert--very sweet and lacking the balanced flavor I hoped for in a protein drink. The Mexicali Bowl was hearty but leaned too heavily on cheese, beans, and carbs, which made it feel overly dense and less nutritious than advertised. It seemed more focused on bulk than freshness or healthy balance. The self-serve ordering kiosk was convenient, but not very intuitive; I had some difficulty navigating the options and understanding how to customize my order. While the staff was present, they weren't particularly welcoming or helpful, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The interior was clean but had a bland, underwhelming atmosphere. I still left a 20% tip out of habit, but given the limited staff interaction and self-service model, it didn't feel particularly warranted. If you're in a rush and need something filling with a decent amount of protein, this location might work--but don't expect standout flavors or an especially engaging dining experience.

I absolutely loved my first experience at Protein Bar and Kitchen! This is definitely going to be my new go-to lunch spot when I'm at the office. As someone who tracks their protein intake, I really appreciate that they include all the macros on their app and menu. That's one of the main reasons I wanted to try this place, and I wish more spots would do the same! I ordered the Cobb wrap with a side cup of the chicken chili and both were delicious! Also really easy to order pick up via the app. I'll 100% be back and can't wait to try more items from their menu. Highly recommend!

This place was very bad. We ordered through Uber eats with a group of us. I had the smoothie and southwest salad. Both were pretty bad and didn't finish either. The chicken is the salad was notably gross. Would not go back would not recommend.

Today was a late breakfast day, and these guys were so good to still make us a couple of Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Bar-itos, even though it was past 11 am. Sooooo grateful! The diner is small, and made for more grab n'go orders. There's are stools along the windows and one table. it's bright and airy here, so the feel is wakThe staff is super friendly upon entering and the entire time we sat. We don't have anything comparable in south Florida, so I LOVE the turkey bacon and egg whites here! The açaí and parfait bowls are a little smaller than we are used to, but I think they're actually perfect single serve portions. They were delicious regardless! The smoothie and Keto coffee were equally as tasty! Thanks you PB Kitchen! You're a lifesaver!

There are limited healthy food and drink options in Chicago but I was able to find this protein bar that gives you so many healthy juice options! It was located pretty central and I stopped by for a much needed refresher. Then, I went over to see Millennium Park and they had a few summer things happening that day like make your own lunchable?! yes. Thanks for giving me a little healthy boost that day.

I'm a big fan of this place. I ordered the Mexicali bowl for delivery & was so impressed by how well-balanced and dynamic the flavors were. Most bowls I've had rely solely on the ingredients and not the spices and tend to be bland, but this was an excellent meal. The only negative I'd say was the portion seemed a bit small for the size. The smoothie was also packaged thoughtfully for delivery and my order was finished 20 min before I anticipated. I definitely will be coming back here for my work lunches.

An amazing experience! Highly recommend!…read more We experienced the tiniest goat, which you get to sit in front of the kitchen, all the action. You need reservations, paid a flat rate per person, only include a drink, absolutely worth it. The menu is set by the chef. The waiter is super knowledgeable and friendly. A disclosure is that the chef doesn't make your food in front of you, the show is to see all the kitchen staff in action, you have front row seats to where the magic happens. A unique experience, the food was super delicious with a mix of flavors from around the world. I left with an amazing experience in terms of food and flavors, but my greatest lesson was how hard the kitchen staff works and the passion: the orchestrated action to keep with the orders, the constant heat from the kitchen, the attention to details, and the love for flavor perfection. Plus, one of the best old fashioned I have ever had!

Service was a bit slow. It took 45 mins to get our first dish, which was the halibut. First, just want to comment that the portion size is quite small relative to the price of the dishes. The halibut. This was very delicious. Somehow the blueberry nuoc cham works? The fish was tender and flaky. The sauce was salty and full of umami with a hint of blueberry sweetness. This fish dish made me crave for a bowl of steaming hot bfluffy white rice. The string beans. Unless you are allergic to nuts, this is a must get dish. Perfectly cooked string beans (still crispy but not raw) sautéed with fish sauce vinaigrette was an absolute delight. It's also on the salty side which made me crave rice but it's such a flavor bomb. The cashews provided a contrast in texture but yet complemented the seemingly simple dish. I wish the portions were bigger. The galbi. It's was good but compared to the first 2 dishes, didn't really wow me. The meat was one rib strip (4 rib bones) cut into 4 pieces so it's a rather small portion for the price. The stone fruit slices was a nice pairing in that it provided a sweet and tart contrast to the heavier meat flavor. After trying this dish, I felt I personally prefer the LA galbi marinade flavor and preparation for short ribs. Overall, I'm glad I got to try this place. Would come back for the string beans on a splurge day .

Hands down, and I don't say this lightly - Boka is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. I don't think it's too wild to say it may certainly be my FAVORITE restaurant in the US of A. This past week was my second pilgrimage to Boka, and I was stoked as ever. We ordered some non-alcoholic drinks, a few appetizers, and our entrees (duck and black truffle chicken). We had a nice discussion with the waiter and shared our enthusiasm and excitement with him. We shared that this was our return to my safe culinary haven, and I was prepared to be dazzled again. And dazzled I was. The chicken was phenomenal. The flavors were amazing and so poignant, and the tenderness of chicken made you really question if you were eating chicken at all. Everything was so moist and tender, and each bite was a ballet of flavor in your mouth. The duck, although not the star of the show, was hearty and delicious as well. The parsnip puree added an earthiness complexion to each slice of duck. The kicker of the night was when our server brought us our bill at the end. He gifted us complimentary menus of what we ordered that night, paired with a generous "Welcome Back" and the date of our wonderful evening. That small, but mighty, gesture encapsulates Boka in a nutshell. Fine dining, excellent quality of food, topped with service that was personally catered to make our meal enjoyable. It's about the experience, and every aspect of our experience at Boka was met with extraordinary marks. I'm dreaming already of round 3 at Boka. When? I don't know. But I'll be ready to tango again.

The crispy potato chips added a great crunch, and the cornichons brought just the right amount of acidity to balance everything out. Next came the Hokkaido scallops, and they were cooked perfectly. I also appreciated that the kitchen split all of our appetizers onto separate plates since we were sharing. It's a small detail, but it made the meal feel much more thoughtful. For our entrees, we ordered the black truffle chicken and the glazed beef short rib. I'm not sure how they prepared the chicken, but it was incredibly tender with some of the most flavorful skin I've had. Every bite was juicy and almost melted in your mouth. The short rib was just as impressive, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I've also done the tasting menu here before, and it was just as memorable. You definitely won't leave hungry. The restaurant has a great atmosphere too. It feels perfect for a date night without being so dim that you can barely see your food.

I've heard the wait is insane, so it's recommended to make a reservation on Resy. Off the bat, I was already side-eyeing this process. I had to pay $2.49 per person to secure a reservation, which is crazy. This is not a deposit either, which I would have understood. I've just never encountered a restaurant that charges a fee to make a reservation. Upon arrival, we got seated immediately (which I would hope so, after paying to make a reservation). Our server collected our orders quickly and our food came out about 15-20 minutes later. CRISPY FRIES - 13.99 Charging $14 for a side of fries is wild enough, but topping it with a completely solid fried egg was baffling. I'm not sure what the culinary vision was. Are we supposed to mash it all together into some sort of hash brown situation, or awkwardly eat the fried egg on its own? The fries themselves were fine, nothing to write home about. However, I did enjoy the mornay sauce and garlic aioli that came on the side. SINGLE CHEESEBURGER - 17.99 +3.49 for egg Over $20 for a burger that doesn't come with sides? I was a little disappointed my burger came with a side of a knife instead. I thought the whole gimmick was having the knife strike straight down into the burger. Beyond that, the burger wasn't anything unique. The bun itself was dry and mid, not the soft and fluffy bun I had envisioned. Everything else was fine -- not bad, but certainly not great. While it wasn't a bad burger, I can't help but feel incredibly disappointed given the hype around Au Cheval burgers. My friend told me the way to "fully experience" Au Cheval is to get the cheeseburger plus both the egg and bacon add-ons, which our server also recommended. I did try a piece of my friend's bacon with my burger and it does add a depth of smoky sweetness. However, that becomes a 17.99 + 3.49 + 6.99 = 28.47 for a burger. That's insane. The add-ons themselves cost more than half of the burger. I'm not doing that to my wallet. Sorry, but this was a disappointing experience for me. I'd rather just go to Shake Shack, which at least comes with tasty and juicy burgers for 1/3 of the price.

I wish I had taken more photos, but we were too busy enjoying the food as it arrived at the table! For drinks, my sister loved the Strawberry Rose Paloma, and I enjoyed a glass of Kir-Yianni Sparkling Rosé, which paired beautifully with the meal. The warm, seasoned pita deserves its own recognition. It's soft, pillowy, and absolutely addictive. Honestly, it's hard not to fill up on the pita and spreads before the rest of the meal even arrives. Our server struck the perfect balance between friendly and attentive, without ever feeling intrusive. We usually make room for dessert, but we were completely stuffed this time. In the past, though, I've loved both the Warm Sticky Date Cake and the Frozen Greek Yogurt, and I'd recommend either without hesitation. I was secretly hoping for a tiny scoop of frozen yogurt as a birthday surprise, but my server didn't mention it and I didn't remind him of the celebration (and honestly, we were way too full anyway ). As a huge Top Chef fan, it's always special dining at Chef CJ Jacobson's restaurant. I had the opportunity to meet him during my very first visit to Ema, and he was incredibly gracious. His creativity and attention to flavor are evident in every dish. Ema continues to set the standard for what a great dining experience should be. It's the restaurant I recommend most often when people ask me where to eat in Chicago, and it remains my go-to place for special celebrations. I can't wait to come back again soon! #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad PS: the hotel next door no longer provides parking validation.
