Do not bring your car here (and that's what I should've done, but I had a warranty for my brake…read morepads). My brakes were starting to screech plus some vibration when braking, so I brought it in. The regional manager Terrance called me saying I needed pads and rotors (normal), as well as control arms, calipers, and brake fluid (not needed, per another highly rated shop called Chippewa Tire). Total amount of everything would've been $1600. I declined and said just do the pads (labor only due to warranty) and I'll take it to Chippewa Tire for the rotors, which is 4 minutes down the road and has a 4.5 rating. Terrance sounded mad. Union arrival at Chippewa Tire they found missing wear indicators & shims, both significant parts that if missing, can lead to uneven pad wear, and potential caliper damage over time. In addition, without the brake pad wear indicators, I will have no acoustic warning of the brake pads being low, so when my brakes go out the only sound I'll hear is the backing plates destroying my expensive rotors. I went back to Midas to ask for either: the pads be re-done or a refund, since this constitutes as "service not as described" / "defective or incomplete work." Just take a look at their website and their promises like "Midas technicians know every part of your brake system inside and out and can perform brake repair on any make or model." Or their golden guarantee stating "Midas proudly stands behind our guarantees on tires and parts at every location nationwide." When I asked for them to live up to these promises they demanded I leave and when I wouldn't they called the cops on me. There was a woman in the lobby who was eavesdropping and started asking me questions about what happened. When I answered her they got mad. I told them "How is my feedback any different than the reviews you see on Yelp? Patrons have a right to know." (There's a reason why Midas has a 2.8 rating on Yelp as well as all 1-star reviews on the Better Business Bureau website.) They even accused Chippewa Tire of breaking the parts and/or lying, which I have absolutely no reason to not trust them, like I do Midas. Plus, I have both written and photo evidence. I called Midas' customer service hotline and was told I'd get a call back. Never did. $358 dollars is a lot of money for me, especially right now due to inflation, gas, etc. I think the average person would expect good business (a partial or full refund) or at least that the job be done right. I drive for Lyft, so this isn't just my car, it's my job. This isn't the first bad experience I had with them either, as last summer I went in for a minor issue and they said I needed my brakes done, costing me $1400. I was hesitant but desperate, as I already missed one day of work and really needed my car back. After driving it off the lot the issue persisted, so I went back and was told I needed another repair costing almost $800, and that's when they admitted the brakes could have waited! I don't care that my brake pads are under warranty. I'm never coming here again! Do yourself a favor, especially if you're a woman, and take your car to Chippewa Tire, a woman owned, honest and ethical mechanic, with one of the highest ratings in St. Louis.

Worst car experience ever! Brought my car in last Saturday…read moremorning said it was vibrating they diagnosed it within five minutes without driving it ......And the guy said it would be done by noon Saturday afternoon , he said it would be done by monday....he finally called me on his home phone number Wednesday To tell me it's not ready yet.I did not answer cause I didn't know who that was Finally Friday he says it's ready. I'm here to get the car and.. after paying $1003.00 ...... he tells me another problem with the car that he never even mentioned last Saturday. And then told me they dont work on that problem. When I told them I was going to call corporate , the general manager said "i am corporate" Zero stars Do not recommend
