The rice noodles are good, wide and a little oily. The beef in the pad see ew was overcooked or too lean, too tough, though, so detracted from the experience. This was my second visit, going a 30-minute drive out of my way for a good Thai place.. and will be coming back! Here for the chive dumplings! It's $10 for 8 of those triangular bites. Savory and packs a punch with crunchy texture on outside with soft inside. We ordered drunken noodles and pad see ew for entree. The noodles were soft consistency while vegetables were cooked more on al dente side which was actually good. I liked that there was a sweet balance of vegetable to noodles ratio, fresh ingredients, and that it wasn't too heavy on onions. For dessert we tried fried ice cream which had an interesting chewy texture. They only have vanilla flavor for this. I probably wouldn't get dessert again but it was for a birthday treat that they were kind enough to support with a candle. read more

Items ordered: Tom Yum Koong Soup Yum Ped Krob Salad The soup's flavor is not bad but it does not taste like Tom Yum Koong soup that I know. It is milky and have no lemon grass flavor. Yum Ped Krob salad was supposed to be a duck salad but only thing I see and taste is over fried/ over cooked hard tiny strips of something I could imagine was supposed to be a duck. I was expecting plumpy juicy duck meats so this was a great disappointment for me. It was supposed to include pineapples but it only had three 1/8 pieces of canned pineapples and made me feel very sad. I was expecting chunks of fresh pineapples. Too much dressings where the f8ood is soaked in the pool of a dressing and not enough veggies. Just four to five pieces of lettuce, small strips of mangos, some cherry tomatoes, and red onion swimming in the dressing. The flavors are not bad but the salad is definitely not worth the $15.00 that I paid for. The flavors are both decent but the executions are bad. Tom Yum Koong is not really a Tom Yum Koong. A tasty soup but I wanted to have the Tom Yum Koong soup and this was not it. I am very disappointed and regret that I ordered from here. Boo Boo and I were exploring the area and decided to come here for dinner. It's kinda far from home but the food is kinda worth it. We shared chive thing, curry Puffs and papaya salad. I ordered the the duck and boo boo got the shrimp drunken noodles. It was a busy Friday for a small location. There was a lot of take out orders. We ordered the chive dumplings (fried chive vegetable dumplings with sweet soy vinaigrette), Pad See Ew (sauteed flat rice noodles with tofu, black soy sauce, egg, garlic, and Chinese broccoli) and Crispy Roasted Duck with panang curry. The chive dumplings were really good - very, very crispy and fried while also tasting very fresh. The Pad See Ew was good, but I had to eat around the tofu, which was weirdly dry. We had dinner here about a week ago because we were in the area and found Proud on Yelp rated quite well. Small place, only 4 or 5 tables, but incredibly welcoming staff. Being our first time here we decided to try a variety of our favorite Thai dishes. One dish was their appetizer sampler. I personally was not crazy about the shrimp or spring rolls. To me it tasted as though the oil in the fryer needed changing, but the chicken satay was very good. The one thing that we tried and loved was their fish cake. We try fish cake at most Thai places as a benchmark along with Pad Thai and the fish cake was absolutely awesome. We could tell that the place seems to be a local favorite since the takeout business was booming, so I would say it's worth a try. Everyone's taste is different so you may love it. I really wish them well, because the staff, who I believe were the owners, were just so incredibly nice that I hope their business flourishes read more

When you pull up in front and roll down the window, someone will bring over the food and put on the passenger seat. I have gotten the pad Thai, pad see ew, satay, and panang curry. Don't judge this place by their Pad Thai. I used to live in Hong Kong, and while it is not Thailand, HK boasts many amazing Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean and Thai food restaurants as well as different regional Chinese offerings. The best place to get Pad Thai is "Splash of Thai" in Westfield. However, the Drunken Noodles and Panang Curry are spot on. Really, all the curries are good, but every single member of my family of 6 will eat the Panang so it is a staple with us. The prices are on the expensive side, so make sure you sign up for the rewards program! Review Update: The Panang curry has just gotten better and better. Hubby craves it a minimum of twice a week. We have also become addicted to the Mango Sticky Rice- it is green because the rice is cooked with a leaf that the family imports from Thailand. I truly do not understand the good reviews here. Every time I order from here it's horrible. Tonight I got pineapple fried rice. It was warm, bland rice with 2 pieces of watery, bland pineapple. The vegetables were uncooked, literally thrown into the container I assume at the last second hoping the steam from the rice would cook them. It was so gross. This small, unassuming restaurant is serving up some delicious, freshly prepared Thai favorites and a few variations from the standard Thai menu to boot. I've never been to Thailand, so I can't vouch for true authenticity, but for a US Thai eatery, this place is the real deal.
