Good food - even better people! I've been here twice now - they are under new ownership as of a year or two I believe. Margaritas are delicious - the flight is a great option too. Birria quesadilla and their homemade chips are my go to. See you soon!

Wonderful lunch experience here today! We came in around 11:30 on a Saturday. We were immediately greeted by a friendly, welcoming, smiling face. She said we could sit anywhere and brought us menus and water. Our receipt stated her name was Delila, and she was an outstanding server! She let us know they were under new ownership since last year. It had been a few years since we were here last. We ordered chip, salsa and guacamole to start. Everything was delicious and fresh. The chips were crispy and not greasy at all. The salsa and guacamole was so fresh tasting, it seemed it was made to order. For entrees, my husband ordered Chilaquiles, from the brunch menu. I ordered a chicken quesadilla from the regular menu. Both entrees were delicious. The chicken in the quesadilla was grilled chicken breast, not shredded, which I loved. I'm not a fan of shredded chicken. I also asked for a side of sour cream. We were so full, we didn't have room for dessert. Maybe next time! This restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking in the parking lot, or nearby street parking. The parking lot has metered parking; however, there's a QR code you can scan in the restaurant lobby to get validated parking. Very nice, and easy to use. The restaurant inside has authentic decor and music. There are two dining rooms, one with a bar. They also have a small outdoor dining patio available. Prices are a bit high for chips, salsa and guacamole, but they were made fresh and I don't mind paying if the portions are matching the price tag. It was definitely enough to be a full meal. I do think the side of sour cream was a bit high since I could buy a 16 oz container for the same 1/3 cup I was served. Overall we were beyond pleased with our experience here today. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

My mom took me here to eat for the first time last night. From the second we walked up we were greeted by the staff. The owner came to the table multiples times to chat and check on things. It wasn't too busy and service was fast. Super friendly staff and people that came in. I ordered a blackberry margarita and it had blackberry pieces in it which was amazing! The ambiance was fun and friendly! I also got a prickly pear margarita and that was the most amazing thing ever. Our food was delicious and I would highly recommend this place.

I had read nothing but good things about this place and wanted to give it a try! Stopped in early afternoon and was greeted right away and found a seat. Parking was easy and you just scan the QR code inside the door for two free hours which is very nice in downtown Vancouver... I ordered the chips and salsa which were fresh and delicious! They recommended the Mole so I tried the mole enchiladas and I'm so glad I did! It was not like any mole I've had before, mildly sweet and sooo tasty! Everything was outstanding and I will definitely be back! Also their margaritas are outstanding!

The food was amazing, very flavorful and authentic. Service was great and staff was friendly

    Barbacoa Special

The Barbacoa Special. The absolute bomb. Pork ribs, slow cooked in banana leaves with corn tortillas, rice, pickled onions and quac. So good. The happy hour margaritas are simple and classic. Cute place too.

    House made chips and salsa.

Seriously, the best Mexican restaurant in Vancouver--and I've tried many. Service is always great, the food is fresh, flavorful and authentic. I particularly like their carnitas-style chicken since pork isn't my favorite protein it is a nice switch-up. My husband's favorite is the mole enchilada, but we've also enjoyed the tacos, burrito, nachos, and red and green enchiladas at different times. They also make a delicious margarita without the terrible sweet and sour and other mixers many restaurants use.

This is one of favorite places. Definately the best Mexican food around, in a great atmosphere, very reasonable prices.

I also like good chips & coleslaw. I found all 3 here at the Waterfront Taphouse. Yay! (Don't worry they aren't too greasy!). We went here with another couple and enjoyed the beautiful view, even though our table wasn't right next to the window. That is probably due to all the big windows and it's on the 2nd floor of its building. Our server was friendly, and our food came out quickly. Loved the fish & chips, like I indicated above. Why the 4 stars then? My husband, the only one in our party that didn't order fish & chips, didn't love his mahi mahi fish tacos. They looked beautiful but fell short on flavor. He felt they needed more seasoning-they were a little tasteless. He dumped the tiny little cup of salsa on top and asked for more, but he was still disappointed. The fish wasn't salted properly. They also came with "house made" tortilla chips. These were hard and cardboard-like. That's too bad because it's not difficult to cut tortillas and fry them up. I do it at home sometimes. They turn out great. So maybe go to a good Mexican restaurant if you have your heart set on quality tortilla chips. If you want fish & chips though, come here instead of their neighbor to the east (not mentioning any names-you know what it's called). The portions were generous-as they should be for $30. That's the only downside. A little pricey. We shared 2 silk pie slices for dessert. Very dense and dark chocolatey. Good to share-a whole piece is too rich-and I like rich! If not for the fish tacos I would give Waterfront Taphouse 5 stars.

Our food was outstanding! We ordered a brie that had a fabulous fig sauce on top and then also we ordered a burger. That was absolutely incredible! We originally found the Sedgwick on a cold winter's night in 2023. We stopped in for what we planned was a quick appetizer and drink. We ended up staying for dinner at the bar. The bar is well lit and very classy. The staff is dressed appropriately. Drinks are very good but do take a minute to craft. They are on the pricy side. The food is absolutely wonderful. Truly. Excellent food, excellent chef. However, for the portion size, it's pricey. One can understand they are doing this intentionally to maintain a higher class of patrons but the tab was a bit jarring. We've been back a couple times, took friends once. They enjoyed it but they too, did mention the prices. Great place in the heart of downtown. We'll be back. Hopefully they'll adjust portions to match their pricing.

From the moment we walked in, the personal touches were amazing. They had personalized our menu, left a signed congratulations card on our table, and even scattered rose petals across the tablecloth. It made an already special night feel truly unforgettable. Our waiter, Scott, was fantastic and funny--he made the entire evening so memorable! Pro tip: Do yourself a favor and specifically ask for Scott when you make your reservation. We ordered from the Prime Hour menu, which is an absolute bargain. You get to choose between soup or salad, two different entrees, and two different desserts. We both went with the seafood Tagliatelle, and wow. It was so rich, generously loaded with halibut, scallops, shrimp, and prosciutto in an incredible lemon pasta sauce. Note for future diners: They do automatically include a 20% service charge on the bill. However, Scott's service was so exceptional that we happily tipped extra on top of it. Save your pennies, do yourself a favor, and book a table ASAP. You won't regret it!

My steak was very good though the outside was a little crispier than I like it. I have eaten Argentinian steak before at another restaurant so i guess this is how it is cooked in Argentina. The mac and cheese was very good though the macaroni noodles seem way large. Service was impeccable and you do get what you pay. Noise level was moderate.
