Went for breakfast with my husband, I got the special for the holidays- the seasonal grill cheese sandwich. We got there about 10 minutes after 12, so breakfast was not an option. I also got a hot mocha with Oatmilk. My husband got the Across the Pacific drink, he said it was strong and he liked it. He also got the Butter Wagyu Burger, which he didn't care for. I liked my Grill Cheese Sandwich, with avocado. I wish it had a little more cheese, but it was so saucy from the meat, that I didn't mind. We both got seasoned fries and we both enjoyed them. Came to Provisions for breakfast this morning and had the avocado toast with a couple of sunny side up eggs and cup of lavender latte. Avocado toast (sourdough bread) had a very generous topping of the avocado spread with slices of fruit to top it. Perfect customer service...my server, Nina, was attentive and checked-in with me in-between helping other guests. Nice way to start the morning! This review is long overdue! I've been here on multiple occasions, usually during breakfast time, or for a quick coffee and pastry when I'm on the go. I love sitting outside when the weather permits, but the seating inside is lovely as well. Love the ambiance and decor here, but it can get loud inside if it's busy, so I prefer outdoor seating. Service is fast, attentive, and always so pleasant! I'm a creature of habit when I'm here, so I get the same things in rotation pretty much. Ube Matcha Latte (3/5) - Sweet and creamy, and the ube flavor adds a nice touch. Not sure if they use ceremonial grade. Just wish it was more vibrant and smooth. Ube Mocha (4/5) - Def liked this better than the matcha. Not too sweet, creamy, great ube flavor. I order this often! Smothered Burrito (5/5) - My cousin got hers with bacon, and I got mine with sausage. This is sooo good! The potatoes were crispy on the inside, eggs were nice and fluffy, and I loved the sauce it was smothered in! Highly recommend for a breakfast option. Croissant breakfast sandwich (4.5/5) - My husband loves a croissant in the morning, and this one is no exception. Basic, but classic! I'm so glad I finally tried Provisions after always hearing about it or passing by it. The ambiance feels very cozy and homey. The staff is super friendly and caring. My churro waffle was so outstanding I was bummed when I finished it. I ate with friends and noticed all of our orders had a nice presentation which I found impressive. It's been a minute. A couple of days ago I went to Provisions for lunch and I really enjoyed my experience. It's been cold yall. What's nice to eat on a cold day? Soup. Tomato Soup. I really thought I was going to get a tasty burger or a bomb Chicken Sandwich but I'm glad I tried the Grilled Cheese. Well. Let me correct myself...Alyssa's Grilled Cheese. When I saw you could get a soup with a sammy, I definitely had to change my order. The Tomato Soup wasn't bad. Definitely tasted like Tomatoes but I didn't really taste anything beyond that. I think I'm a little spoiled because the town I live in has one that is creamy and every bite I just ended up comparing it to that. But it was still good. I appreciated the croutons and green onions in it. The highlight was definitely Alyssa's Grilled Cheese. It's the usual Grilled Cheese but with Tinga Chicken in it. So basically it's like a Mexican Grilled Cheese. It's really good. If you like Cocktails, I'd recommend getting the MF's cocktail or Mezcal Margarita to go with it. There's something about the smokiness that pairs so well with the sammy. I also just want to put out there that Provisions has amazing cocktails. I decided to try Provisions on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly busy both inside and outside. Despite the packed environment the restaurant was clean and staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. When I arrived breakfast was over so I looked over the lunch menu. I couldn't decide between the Churro Waffle ($13) and Fried Chicken (extra $7), Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18) and Fried Avocado Tacos ($13). I asked the waitress and she recommended the Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18) and I added the Truffle Parm Fries for an extra $1.50 and a Lavender Lemonade. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was delicious and flavorful. The Truffle Parm Fries were crispy and had a lot of flavor. Both items were served hot and tasted fresh. They also brought me a side of their ranch dressing, which was delicious. The Lavender Lemonade did not taste like lavender at all and was very tart. The lemonade was really good but did not have the lavender taste I'm used to from other lavender lemonades I've had. I loved the decor in the restaurant and how vocal they were about their support for immigrants rights and the Black Lives Matter movement. Cool vibes in downtown Vallejo! This spot is definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. The staff are not only super friendly but also great at walking you through the menu and recommending dishes, which I really appreciated. I stopped in for lunch and sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. I ordered the Wagyu butter burger and wow--it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Easily one of the best burgers I've had in a while! We went around opening time and that was definitely the move. No wait, no trouble parking and no traffic. Upon entering we were greeted and were able to pick our seating. The service was superb and the food was delicious and flavorful. The staff is very attentive and very helpful with their recommendations. The restaurant gave a very homey feel which was nice as well. It's a popular place, and with good reason. The food was good. Clearly above average. However, the service was bad. How bad? Well, first, the hostess. She seemed unconcerned about the slow line of customers waiting for a table. Like it wasn't her job to try to work the line. Then we were finally seated, and.... nothing. No one would take our order for more than 15 minutes or so. The waiters/watresses would serve other tables AND NEVER MAKE EYE CONTACT with other customers/tables. That is really a bad sign. The minimum you should do as a server is to look around if some other customers need something, rather than quickly going back to the kitchen while keeping your eyes to the floor. Same for the hostess, no way to get her attention. Also, 3% B.S. fee, which we promptly subtracted from the tip. read more

You can also opt for outdoor seating to get some fresh air. The employees are nice and very attentive. I ordered the Smothered Burrito with grilled chicken on the side. It was flavorful, seasoned well, and the right amount of salsa. My friend got the Chicken n Waffle, according to her the protein was not salty and dry and she loved the crispiness of the chicken, and the waffle was perfectly cooked. Waking up in San Francisco is exciting. We arrived yesterday, and let's just say lunch didn't exactly set the bar very high. This morning it was breakfast time, and Provisions was the spot we picked. First, I want to mention that my husband and I both work in the culinary industry. Whenever we travel, we love trying new places and experiencing different food scenes. Vacation for us basically means eating our way through the city. This was Provisions' turn. Let me start with the positives. The latte I ordered was actually very good, and the orange juice was clearly fresh-squeezed. Service was decent and friendly. Now... the food. I do want to acknowledge that this restaurant is women-owned, and I truly applaud the hard work, dedication, and vision it takes to run a restaurant. That's no small feat in this industry. But the food needs a little help. I ordered the chilaquiles, and the chipotle-based sauce just wasn't it. It lacked flavor--no salt, no real seasoning, just kind of... there. My two over-easy eggs were unfortunately overcooked and buried under what felt like a mountain of cheese. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was soggy, and the chicken was a bit too dark and leaning toward dry. Overall, I feel like Provisions has potential. The concept is there, the vibe is there, but the flavor profiles need a little checking and balancing. But hey, remember... it's not always about the food, it's about the company you share it with. For over a month I was on a serious fried chicken sandwich kick and I tried sandwiches from various restaurants around the bay (Oakland, Alameda, Walnut Creek and San Francisco to name a few) and Provisions was one that popped up on Yelp and I decided to give them a try! Interestingly enough I went for a fried chicken sandwich but found a new favorite local spot! What I did not expect to find was this gem of a restaurant/cafe/bar with lots of personality attached to one of my favorite chicken sandwiches! This place is transformative and you can quickly forget what town you're in (this is a compliment and not a dig on Vallejo!) Provisions really knows itself and it's reflected in their style and offerings. They have a great selection of food and drinks on the menu and they always have great specials (that really are special so you always want to try them!) I'm both surprised and impressed that a place this good still tries to up their game with creative ways to engage with their customers and community (joining their news letter is a must!) Something that really stood out to me was how sometimes nice places like this (even though they are in your town) don't always feel like you belong there but this one does and as soon as you walk up to the door you know you're home! The staff is friendly and the restaurant's vibe varies from kinda folkie/hippy to modern yet trendy (they even shout out some of Vallejo's greats in the bathroom.) I normally drive over an hour for a place like this so it's great to have such a place in my own backyard! I like to go here for date nights and to bring friends just to show off even though I'm selfishly going for myself. While checking out our table was warned by someone who I found out later was the owner Nicole that my table was "too loud" at an OUTSIDE patio table. Being that we are a table full of queer brown people was not received well. So to be reprimanded by Nicole for being "loud" using "profanity" was very off putting. We are grown adult paying customers and you have a menu that offers bottomless mimosas, there is bound to be a high volume in voices, we are all sitting outside, I do not come to restaurants to be told how I should speak nor act. We were already seated before said group and we sat outside for the purpose of being loud and celebrating a birthday. Hannah our server was amazing!! So patient and attentive. One great server (Myra) and an ok server (male) made the service ok. Would have scored higher for me if the guy wasn't melancholy in his service. The I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was very flavorful. A bit too much hash browns in it imo but it was good nonetheless. If I knew how much potato was inside the burrito, I wouldn't have gotten hash browns as a side but I'll know what to do next time. I asked for sausage instead of bacon and it was good but I'd have appreciated more meat, it seemed a little unbalanced with the heaps of potato and sparse sausage. Even with that said, it still tasted delicious and I look forward to giving them another try. read more
