Crab cake Benedict with hash browns

Came here for lunch. Weather was perfect so we chose to sit in their outdoor patio area. The chicken tinga grilled cheese was so deliciously perfect. We got the ube Basque cheesecake to go and OMG yummy!

Haven't been here in a long time. Greeted quickly and Sat immediately. Place is clean with a lot of natural light. I went with a standard 2 egg, hash browns and link sausage. Fresh squeezed ok. Everything was good. I liked the crisp on the hash browns. There was a slight spicy kick to the sausage I didn't care for. There was a sign in the bathroom I'd understand nor felt it necessary.

We love this place! The ambiance and food is great! We ordered: Matcha latte with oat milk and lavender syrup Cappuccino with oat milk Avocado tacos with fries Tuna melt with fries I can't have dairy, so the vegan options are great! I loved the crispy avocados. Even the fries are really good! The matcha had a good flavor. No complaints!

Cute coffee shop with amazing pastries and perfect brunch vibes. I always make a stop when I'm in town and they never disappoint. My server was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

It feels warm, cozy, and homey the moment you walk in. I've been here for brunch twice already and will definitely be back many more times. The food is incredible, and I really appreciate that they offer great vegan options alongside their classic brunch dishes. I ordered the chicken and waffles and added an egg and bacon, oh. my. goodness. My mouth waters just thinking about it. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, chef's kiss. Adding the bacon and egg elevated the whole dish and made it extra hearty. The waffle was golden and fluffy with just the right balance of crisp edges and soft center, soaking up all the flavors beautifully. I might share next time, but it turned out to be my entire meal for the day. I was that full. My partner got the vegan smothered burrito, and it did not disappoint. The hash brown inside was perfectly crispy, and the sauce was fantastic: rich, flavorful, and comforting. We also tried the vegan Cinnabon, which was so good my partner had to double-check that it was actually vegan. Service was great, but fair warning: this place gets packed on the weekends for brunch. Get there early or expect a wait. We went on a Saturday and walked off our meals afterward at the nearby farmers' market, which was the perfect way to end brunch. Highly recommend.

Matcha Latte w/ Lavender syrup

Was looking for a good place nearby to have a birthday breakfast and found Provisions through Yelp. At first thought, Vallejo? We gave it a try anyway since reviews were good. Tucked inside Vallejo near their City Hall, this I could say is one of those perfect definitions of a "hidden gem"! We normally have to go to either Berkeley or Napa for this type of food. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted & seated by one of their servers. The lady didn't seem to look so happy at first but was actually nice towards the end. Would've been better though if she did have a smile on her face the moment we walked in. But oh well. A male server made up for it and was very pleasant from start to finish! The plates we had this first trip were all scrumptious! Churro Waffle plus chicken, Chicken and waffle and eggs Benedict of the day. The matcha latte I'm used to is actually sweet. The one I had from this place, Matcha Latte w/ Lavender syrup was not sweet at all! Could've been perfect if I was given a heads up or asked if I wanted to add sweetness to it. The sugars provided for my spouse's coffee were all sugar substitutes (Splenda, sweet N low). Not the kind I'd put in my cup. Would definitely be back for their churro waffle & chicken!

Checking out the cool, old ships docked at Mare Island in Vallejo, CA.

Saturday morning date with my wife. Breakfast at Provisions, then a walk through the Vallejo Farmers Market, and finished up at Mare Island to check out the Winged Migration Expo. It's always nice to spend some time alone with the one I love (without the kids and pets). For breakfast I had the traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, hash browns & toast). My wife got the Avocado Toast with egg. The food was delicious!! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you've never gone before.

Finally got to try this place on a cold winter Sunday around 10AM and there was thankfully no wait. We were in a cozy table in I believe the main room, and we had a lovely view of the outside, and all the cool stuff inside. The walls are decorated with plenty of cool things to look at, plus merchandise and the cafe counter/bar area. Staff were friendly and quickly checked on us throughout our meal. They were quick to bring extra silverware, offer more portions, and refill waters. I believe we had a designated waiter, but plenty of different staff came by to check on us. Wait time was decent as well, and everything was presented beautifully. The chai latte with almond milk and caramel was SOOOO GOOD. Ugh I would love to just have a gallon of it lol. The chicken and waffles were also very good, and I personally thought the crust on the chicken was unique in a good way. Almost like a slight Asian influence on the breading. I added a bit of salt and pepper to my mine (I also added a sunny side up egg for $2, but the crunchy crust was divine) but overall it was delicious. Waffle was big, butter perfectly melty, syrup thick and the perfect amount for my waffles. Also got the rotating chiffon cake slice, which was also good, but thick. Recommend sharing with someone for sure! All things considered (ambiance, service, food quality, flavor, presentation, etc) the price is definitely worth it - I would say standard brunch pricing. Will definitely be back to try more!

Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich

I haven't been to Provisions in a couple years. They seem to have expanded their space and have an outdoor seating area. The ambiance is reminiscent of One House in Benicia. It's cute and cozy and very unique. It was somewhat busy around noon on a Wednesday. The bartender helped clear a table and had us seated when the host or hostess wasn't present. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with a side salad. The salad was a little heavy on the dressing. But it was still tasty. I loved the fried chicken sandwich! It's so perfectly crispy but tender and it was very filling too! It's well worth the $18. I also ordered some take and bake spinach ricotta lasagna for dinner. It's $14 for a portion that feeds two people. It comes with a little card with heating instructions. It was the perfect amount of food for two people. Very tasty as well! I'll definitely order it again if I'm already there for lunch. The tuna melt with soup was a large portion. My friend was unable to finish it in that sitting and took the rest to go. The cappuccino came in a black mug with cute latte art (leaf). I was also told the basque cheesecake was delicious! Very glad that downtown Vallejo has Provisions!

The fried chicken sandwich is sweeter than you might expect but the crunch and flavor is pretty solid. It doesn't stand out from other good chicken sandwiches but it is a solid sandwich. Would rec to satisfy any fried chicken cravings. Chowder of the day was served with sliced crunchy bread . Chowder leans more to soupy viscosity than a thick chowder viscosity but that doesn't detract how it's the perfect item to order on a cold day. Good balance of veggies and protein. Just wish it was served with more bread. Cheese curds 100% rec. Sauce is delicious and compliments the cheese curds well. Service is fast but can be a bit delayed because of how popular the restaurant is. Ambience feels like a new american restaurant that you'd find in LA. Eclectic decorations can be spotted in every wall and corner. You're also able to purchase baked goods at the front. Seems like a great place to go with friends for brunch, lunch, dinner, etc.

I had a fabulous food experience. I went at a very busy time and wanted to try breakfast but that only goes till noon. My plan B was up to the food challenge. Fried chicken sandwich with ginger carrot soup was phenomenal. Five stars out of this world.

Came for the first time during fish fry Friday and we'll definitely be back! Aside from the beer battered fish, we also enjoyed one of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the east bay. Our sweet treat at the end of the meal, the passion fruit, mango, guava tart did not disappoint! Great restaurant with a cozy ambiance and friendly service. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience :)

Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18) and added the Truffle Parm Fries for an extra $1.50

I decided to try Provisions on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly busy both inside and outside. Despite the packed environment the restaurant was clean and staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. When I arrived breakfast was over so I looked over the lunch menu. I couldn't decide between the Churro Waffle ($13) and Fried Chicken (extra $7), Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18) and Fried Avocado Tacos ($13). I asked the waitress and she recommended the Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18) and I added the Truffle Parm Fries for an extra $1.50 and a Lavender Lemonade. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was delicious and flavorful. The Truffle Parm Fries were crispy and had a lot of flavor. Both items were served hot and tasted fresh. They also brought me a side of their ranch dressing, which was delicious. The Lavender Lemonade did not taste like lavender at all and was very tart. The lemonade was really good but did not have the lavender taste I'm used to from other lavender lemonades I've had. I loved the decor in the restaurant and how vocal they were about their support for immigrants rights and the Black Lives Matter movement. I will definitely be back to try their breakfast items!

There is a dedicated parking lot, tight but can hold a decent amount of cars. There is street parking as well, not metered - that is where I parked. The hostess was extremely friendly and attentive, checking in on us several times after ordering to notify of the food's ETA as well as refilling drinks and seeing if we needed anything. The dining area has approximately ten booths in total and became quite crowded around 12:30p. Our meals arrived at different times, items to eat meal arrived sparsely as well. We ordered around 11:30a, there were two other parties present. We were able to order based on our dietary needs/wants as the menu offered quite a diverse array. The crab omelette (known as The California Omelette on the menu) is 1/4 lb of fresh crab served either hot or cold enclosed in three eggs along with avocado and Monterey Jack cheese. For $26.35 the omelette left much to be desired, especially in flavor and seasoning. Nothing complimented or even enhanced the presence of the crab in any way. The remaining party at the table said they enjoy their meal - including a blueberry waffle, toast and eggs with bacon and a double cheeseburger with fries. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to gather, this cafe is certainly an option to consider. It was easy to speak and hear each other with ample privacy and not a lot of traffic - if any.

I ordered the CHICKEN FRIED STEAK and ooooohhhhh weeeee! It was perfect! It came with 2 perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs, hash browns, and a good sized chicken fried steak that was topped with gravy that at first bite just gives you that home cooked/ soul filling feel! The sourdough toast was generously buttered with an assortment of jams on the table to choose from. I'll take a strawberry one hahaha If you like heat, I suggest getting that hot sauce bottle labeled "Ray'" and putting that on your hash browns! It was my first time having it and WOW! I. LOVED. IT. What's Tabasco again??? Hahaha It'd go great on tacos, a burrito, anything! I was close to asking if I could buy one hahaha The coffee is good and strong! Our waitress provided great customer service. She took our orders quickly and was always there at the perfect time to ask if I needed a coffee fill up. Will definitely be back! After coming here, you'll no longer want to go to the other breakfast places in Vallejo. As of today , this is my new #1 breakfast spot! *They also have donuts!
