Provisions does it again. Legit one of my favorite places in Vallejo. I usually get the chicken and waffles cuz they have it DOWN, but I tried the smothered burrito w chorizo. I also had the fresh fruit that they get from the Vallejo Farmers Market, oh so good! I love the Vallejo/Bay Area theme decor but also the rustic vibe in the outdoor seating area. Open for 8 years now, Nicole has curated not only the menu and the restaurant proper, but takes great care to ensure that all of her guests have a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience. First timer!!! It did not disappoint!!! I got the truffle fries and the fried chicken sandwich, this has to be one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Fried perfectly, the slaw on the chicken was delicious!!! I would say the server outside could have been more friendly but maybe she wasn't having a great day. Food is kinda pricey so it's not something I'll be getting frequently but as a treat absolutely. Will return!!! read more

Team building appreciation meeting today had me feeling good. Its always great when can get a free meal out of the bosses. Table for 10 and we were loving every minute of our time waiting for our orders. Chicken and waffles was the major hit of the table. Our waitress was right on the money with ginger beer shirley temples. I got a ginger beer (BundaBerg) just so I could make it at home. I'm sitting here having my 3rd meal here in the last 3 days. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I've looked around for other places to go while I'm in town but I couldn't help but coming back. Provisions is a cute little restaurant with everything you need for a nice meal. We ordered the buffalo chicken salad with ranch and a fried chixken sandwich with truffle fries. I also ordered a MFs as a cocktail. The buffalo chicken salad was so good! The pickled onions with the cheese and tomatoes do something to the salad. It's a healthy way to eat a buffalo chicken sandwich without bread. It's pretty good the only issue is some of the buffalo Chicken was dry. But the flavor was there. The fried chicken sandwich is huge!!! The chicken on this beast was juicy and tender. The truffle fries were okay they were a bit too oily and undercooked for my liking but most people probably want that in their truffle fries. The MFs cocktail I had was horrible. I'm a mezcal and tequila drinker but did not enjoy it. It was to sweet and bitter at the same time. It taste like a wooden doorknob in the words of my husband. read more

Tried their brunch, finally. The menu isn't as diverse as their lunch items which was a little disappointing and maybe I hyped it up too much in my head. BUT the chilaquiles were good and packed some heat. I do wish we had an option to add some kind of meat on top of it since it was just 2 eggs on top of homemade tortilla chips. Provisions is my favorite brunch/lunch spot in Vallejo. It's local, women-owned business with attentive staff. I've only been for breakfast and lunch, so haven't enjoyed the cocktails that look delish, but we've had plenty of great coffee, iced matcha and Arnold Palmers with our meals. The breakfast and lunch menus have a variety of standards and special dishes. The sandwiches are huge (shareable or second-meal worthy). The salads are satisfying as a meal. The fried avocado tacos are delicious. All the breakfast items on the menu look amazing and what I've tried has been good. I'll never miss ordering a gooey vegan cinnamon roll to share with the table- I think it's orange zest I'm tasting that's so yummy. The outside seating is lovely if the weather is cooperative. Inside is also nice, especially if you get a window table. There is plenty of street parking or a free lot across the street. read more

My partner and I went to Provisions for brunch for the first time and have a lovely time! The place is really cute on the inside with cozy tables and fun decor. They have a great outdoor space with tables for 2 and tables for groups. We had the Chicken and Waffles and the breakfast burrito. The Chicken and Waffles was delicious. The Chicken was cooked perfectly. The waffle didn't have distinct flavors, so the two paired nicely. The waffle wasn't so sweet, so they had thick maple syrup to add to taste. The breakfast burrito was quite flavorful and had a good portion. The sauce was unique and had kick to it. Over all, we had a wonderful time! If you are in Vallejo, I hope you stop by! read more

Lunch ion MLK Day after the event at City Hall. I had been wanting to try this place for a while. I had passed by it many times not knowing it was the place I had bookmarked on Yelp lol. It was busy. It was confusing where to get seated. Lots of people standing around and they seemingly were short staffed. Now, once you got the attention of staff members, they were pleasant and accommodating. I was pleased that I was able to move tables after ordering from one guy and was then allowed to move from a different guy. It was hard to keep track of who to get assistance from. Anyway, the first seat was more like a table in a walkway and that was confirmed by the "change seat" staff member, lol. I order the tuna melt-delicious! It was accompanied by tomato soup ( the soup of the day) Daughter: chicken sandwich with fries and lavender lemonade. No complaints about the food except for the soup which didn't come out, initially, hot. I flagged down some other staff member down and asked for it to be reheated and it was a brought out by another staff member. We sat. We waited around and then I sent my daughter to the cash register that was a stones throw from our seat, to get our check and she said that we could just come up and pay.... a different staff member. Well isn't this the cutest corner spot to check out downtown in Vallejo?! They have adorable indoor & outdoor seating.. we came on a busy day. They may need a little more support on the weekends. But their servers were very friendly and approachable. Food was good, nothing truly caught my tastebuds with the chicken & waffle... but I did notice my egg was seasoned well & maybe the maple syrup had something extra in it that made it taste good. The seasonal croquetas had a great crunch I just didn't expect them to be like a fish stick presentation, and expected a bit more potatoes. I wondered if they added crab to it, put could've been the Cajun seasonings. I forgot to ask my friend what she thought of their burger. I'd comeback to try their other foods before giving them a solid review on their menu items. But one thing for sure, you should come & try their pastries. I'm always a fan of this restaurant. I love the food and the atmosphere here. I will always recommend it. I went with a group of friends for breakfast and I was thrilled to be able to enjoy the blueberry scone again. I used to order them with coffee out on Mare Island but they stopped serving them there. Breakfast was great and everyone loved the food. Avocado toast, chicken and waffles, eggs and bacon. Presentation was nice and the portions were decent. This was my absolute favorite place in Vallejo but they recently changed their menu and I'm so sad about it! The breakfast burrito used to come with an amazing mole sauce and now it comes with a tomatillo which was good but does not compare to before. Another reason I loved this place was the amount of vegan options they have available, they still have good options- the breakfast burrito has a vegan version with tofu instead of eggs, the black bean burger, avocado tacos, and the Korean bowl. They removed the tofu sandwich, the teriyaki bowl, and the Buddha bowl. I hope to they bring all of these back, they were so good! I also wish they served breakfast longer especially on the weekends instead of cutting it off at 11am. The coffee and service are always great however! They have unique flavors like cardamom and ube. They can get pretty busy but are always friendly and accommodating. Still one of my go to spots though for sure! read more

The food here is delicious! But unfortunately, have anyone been experiencing subtle racism here? I notice how people other than black will get served first, even if we were there.First while sitting outside. I also notice when saying , thank you some of these staff members do not say you're welcome very rude and unprofessional. The only time they smile is when they give you your receipt. At the end, maybe they're hoping for a tip or happy that you're getting ready to leave, not really sure, but there is one person in particular that I have encountered on several times that is really nasty, really rude and very disrespectful, she seems very miserable. Personally, I don't know her name, but she's the only fat white girl that works there.I'm not sure if she is the manager or not.But her attitude is very sassy , nasty and sarcastic. The 2 waitresses that I am referencing to also are 2 older white women. Maybe in their 50s\n Or 60s?\n Slim, slightly medium height . Fake friendly , tight , fake smile makes you wait forever and never say thank you. I enjoy sitting outside and I sit back and I make it a point to observe them when I'm there.\n But they are friendly and go above and beyond with their own kind. Not sure what people are going through, but working for the public.Considering how high prices are , people still find time to come out and spend their hard earned money in these establishments to only be treated like s***. We were seated promptly. Servers were very accommodating. Food came in short order. The chai latte was relatively bland and came lukewarm. Ordered the Churro waffle, very light and crunchy. Good flavor. Ordered chicken breakfast sausage as a side. Two very small patties were six dollars. Because of the patties thinness they were very dry. My wife has the two egg breakfast. The eggs were fine, bacon was very dry & overcooked. Single piece of sourdough baguette was drenched in butter and appeared to have been grilled on a flattop, it was burnt. Everything still stands in terms of my experience with Provisions -- it's a solid place with good vibes, fantastic service, and delicious foods! I just tried the avocado tacos this week and was so impressed! Usually I don't like peppercorn but the mixture of fried avocado, sauce, pickled veggies, and jalapeños was SUPREME. Beautiful brunch spot in downtown! Came for the bottomless mimosas and they were great; one of, if not the only place that serves bottomless around here. We did feel a little bit rushed towards the end (kept offering us boxes, gave us the check early), but our time limit wasn't up yet for bottomless :( Price is a little expensive, but pretty on par with other brunch spots. You know what I love? Supporting local businesses, especially this one. Provisions is consistently great from their service to their food. I've been here quite a few times and everything I've had has been delicious. My last visit was with my husband and we came during brunch hour. I finally had their chicken and waffles and it did not disappoint!! I really like that we were checked on at different times by several different servers. They are all super friendly and helpful. It can get busy in here but there is outdoor and indoor seating. There is a free parking lot across the street which you can typically find parking. However, on days there is the farmers market or an event, the lot may be full. Street parking is an alternative. Recommend: try their lavender latte! I had mine with oatmilk- soooo good! read more

My brother and I had been active customers and supporters of Provisions almost since inception. We were attracted to them due to their support of Black Lives Matters and frequented Provisions almost weekly. The food is great! The albacore tuna melt is awesome! Ambience is exactly what you need. But, then, tragedy struck my brother with an unaffordable result and outcome. When the owner walked over to us and told us we had to "go sit in the back of the restaurant", for 1 quick moment, I saw what homeless folks must feel like. (We are far from homeless.) I get it, but I thought there was a better way that she could have approached us. We got up and walked out. Now, we frequent Manny's Steak House. Excellent food. Nice ambience. Overall, I have had a very positive experience with this restaurant. This review is specific to this morning's experience and why I will no longer be a customer of this establishment. On two occasions, including this morning, I observed staff behaviors behind the counter that raised concerns regarding hygiene and customer service. Specifically, I observed employees touching their faces and hair, as well as picking up items such as receipts from the floor or from what appeared to be a trash or recycling receptacle. In one instance, this appeared to be done to verify how an order was documented when the item prepared did not match the receipt, unfortunately the receipt had already been tossed in the receptacle, instead of reprinting it was retrieved. Following these actions, the employees handled takeout food containers without performing hand hygiene. The absence of observable hand hygiene is also the reason I have avoided ordering desserts from the front display case, despite the appealing options available. Similar issues occurred again this morning. Additionally, the employee who processed my payment took my card from my hand and placed it on the countertop rather than returning it directly to me. When I asked why it was not handed back in the same manner, the employee paused and responded that they "didn't even think about it." There was no attempt to provide reassurance or address the concern; instead, the interaction concluded with a brief "have a good day," after which the employee walked away. These experiences led me to question what other practices may be occurring outside of customer view. As a result, I felt uncomfortable consuming the food and ultimately discarded my breakfast. This was particularly disappointing, as I had been looking forward to the smothered burrito and side salad since the night before. Due to this experience, I will no longer be a customer. I am sharing this feedback to support the management team by identifying areas where improvements may be warranted, should they choose to address them. read more

My family and I have been here three times and loved every visit! S E R V I C E: Weekends are really busy; especially after Sunday mass. During the weekdays it's easy to find parking and to just walk right on in, or to have the option of sitting outside with their boho chic seats (which we prefer!) When you sit outside you can also bring your furchild! Our servers were always kind, professional, and give great recommendations. F O O D: My favorite dish has been the tuna melt, and I order it every single time haha! I always order one of their sparkling drinks (you can ask for nonalcoholic) and their garlic fries are crispy and with the right amount of garlic. They have vegan and gluten free options available (even for their dessert as well). O V E R A L L: I'm glad a place like this opened up in Vallejo. hello this is for the tuna melt : i do NOT like you others in the outdoor dining patio raves about their delicious choices - none YOU - the bottom of a he toast was oily not fully toasted - the avo was brown !! BROWN?! so insulting - the cheddar cheese is a bad choice ; havarti or swiss would have been better w/ the other ingredients - the other ingredients: carrots? edamame?! like? then to think cheddar is the cheese?! insane - the tuna - not fresh? or idk but it wasn't white - the size?! who doesn't cut a sandwich footlong in 1/2 for the guests ?! i was shocked - i checked 2x & nope - an open facing tuna melt? no a tuna melt is supposed to be closed at first i thought *oh maybe i close it myself* nope it wasn't CUT -the side salad was covered in too much dressing or something bc it was lifeless - i was super hungry & it was edible but drowned by the juices from the other ingredients AND dressing - ice tea was ok i am bummed - tuna melts are my favorite & i've had some YUMMY ones (sauls & farmers wife ; & bolt whew ) but this one is NOT good - i am new to the area so i'm putting provisions at the bottom of my list to try their other items - the bakery may be better and the fries on my neighbors plate looked bomb we'll see read more

What a cute and much-needed dining spot in downtown Vallejo! A beautiful sunny day after watching Oppenheimer called for a late lunch at one of my 707 bookmarks. The corner restaurant had welcoming outdoor seating, vibrant character-filled dining rooms, lovely staff, and tasty - wait for it- provisions! Check out the unique bathroom wallpaper with the Bay Area greats. My parents and hubz sat in the comfy inside left corner and ordered the following: -Cobb salad - Tuna Melt with a fruit cup -Fried chicken sandwich with side salad -Teriyaki bowl with roasted tofu (vegan) The food came out in 15 min or so and the dishes were flavorful, fresh and delicious. I really liked the plate variety- one looked very high tea-worthy. There is also a display of homemade pastries and desserts near the cashier- of course the lemon bar ended up at our table. It could have had more Meyer lemony flavor but it was a nice ending to the meal. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu- love the vibe here! read more

Provisions could be good and just isn't. Dropping in for brunch we found it difficult to be seated. When we finally got a table the service was extremely slow and not overly friendly, but we went ahead and ordered. Drinks wise, our Tart and Frisky was bad, tasting like kombucha drenched with lemon or pickle juice and our latte was basic with almost no flavor to it. Food wise, everything was mediocre and extremely expensive for the simple items we ordered. The fruit cup was served in a condiment cup. I've never been served something so small as a purchased side. The avocado toast was soaked in oil and unpleasant, and the brussels spouts? The menu didn't list it was mixed with peppers which I'm allergic to, so it went mostly untouched. We usually go to a cafe down the street so we'll definitely be sticking with them the next time we're in town. read more
