    The vibes are great, this place has a lot of outdoor seating with heat lamps. Service was excellent and the food was good. Didn't care too much for the basil smash cocktail but overall good experience!

    Fabulous! So fun! I've gone a couple times now at different times and with different people and it'll stay in my rotation of yummy food in the mission. Dishes are well done, good fry on their chicken, noodles were well textured, and my favorite dish, their Japanese yams. Their cocktails are delicious and their outdoor space always has live music. It's a must!

    This restaurant is a little oasis on mission street. We were seated outside and vibes were great. Heat lamps to keep us warm and great live music. The food was not up to par. For the prices, the food undelivered on quantity and quality. Chicken Kelaguen & Coconut Titiyas An unassuming dish. 2 barbecued chicken tacos for $21 is a steep price even for SF. The coconut, lemon, and smoky chicken imbued a tropical vibe, but overall I was left disappointed. Ko'Ko' Wings The wings are one of Prubechu's most popular items and I can see why. Dry spiced fried chicken that tastes like a better ranch seasoning. The lemon finadenne was a great addition as well. But it did not warrant its $5 a wing pricetag. Lechen Birenghenas A cold, soggy, and bland serving of eggplant. Maybe this dish isn't for me, but I don't see any redeeming qualities. Tinaktak This was tasty in a way that felt accidental. Almost like a hodge-podge of ingredients thrown into a bowl. The sauce felt like a cream of mushroom soup. Very amateurish. Sweet & Sour Pork Belly The pork belly was disappointing. But even worse, the bed of vegetables and pineapple was intensely sweet.

    Wow, what a meal! Came here for a double date dinner last night and we all enjoyed the food. We were seated at a table outside, where they have a large tent that can accommodate more people compared to indoors. They make the most of the space with decorations, heating lamps and music. The dishes have lots of flavor! And made to share. Tinaktak - My favorite of the meal. I could honestly eat this on my own. Good mixture of noodles, beef, tomatoes and mushrooms. Reminiscent of the Filipino vegetable dish laing. Chamorro Sweet Rolls & Tuba Butter - So warm, butter was sooo smooth, a great pairing with the next item ... Ko' Ko Wings - Had to get these, and got every bit of meat on each one. They almost remind me of lemon pepper wings from WingStop, but elevated and not as greasy. The yellow stain left on my fingers was hard to rub off, even with the hand wipes they provided (which was a nice courtesy). Chicken Empanada - Haven't had an empanada quite like this. Guamanian empanadas don't have a thick pastry, so the filling stands out. Pika Tamales Gisu & Fried Egg - An interesting combination, topped with spicy garlic chili oil. I agree with other reviews on the cost - the dishes seem overpriced for what you get. But I'm all for supporting unique restaurants like this one, and it was a treat to come here. The servers were on top of it. They split our dishes to come out in two waves, checked on us, filled our waters, cleared our plates and were overall friendly.

    I have been eyeing this place for soooo long but it's such a spendy restaurant that I was waiting for a special occasion to check it out. We decided to get brunch here on Sunday and are glad that they do the standard menu as I wanted to try the fiesta table experience along with the Chamorro sweet rolls and Koko wings. Note that the fiesta menu, 96pp, is mostly orthogonal to the offerings on the menu, so you're in for a true omakase-like experience! They do let you know approximately what's in the fiesta table, in case of any allergies. The fiesta table is extremely filling. We are good on food for the day, honestly. The progression of dishes was spot on - from smaller bites to heavier. I particularly loved the beef glass noodle lumpia and the dessert. The other courses we good but not impressive. The beef was extremely tough. I'd say the fiesta table is a good experience to try once if you want to splurge, as the regular menu is more affordable with similar levels of satisfaction. As we were too full from fiesta table but still want to check the hype of the Chamorro sweet rolls and Koko wings, we got this to-go. Frankly it's overhyped. $12+ for a small piece of bread with butter that has an interesting sour aftertaste is intriguing but not worth the price tag. I didn't like that it had strong vinegar flavor. The Koko wings were good but $24+ for 5 pieces is extremely steep. I wouldn't have ordered this if it wasn't expensed. I have similar preparation for a fraction of the price, but the dipping sauce is tangy and nice, so I guess that's kinda unique? Cocktails are really weak - it felt watered down and the ratios of the ingredients felt off. Sure it was $13 per cocktail which is below market price but that shouldn't mean it has to be worse quality if you want the whole dining experience to be positively well-rounded. Service is okay - it can be quite slow. I understand waiting a bit between the major courses to digest but it was quite lengthy wait like 30-40+ minutes.

    I love Prubechu. The first time I ate there, I was so blown away that I genuinely looked up flights to Guam that night. The flavors are bold, unique, and completely transportive, it's the kind of meal that feels like travel. And the wings? LIFE-CHANGING. I go back for those alone. Over the years, prices have climbed, and what used to feel like a casual dinner spot has become more of a special-occasion restaurant for me. That said, the quality, creativity, and overall experience still feel thoughtful and worth it. The patio is a whole vibe- warm, lively, and perfect for lingering over drinks and sharing multiple dishes with friends. This review is really to highlight a Super Bowl event I attended that showcased the collab between Prubechu and Ortega (yes, that Ortega). They threw an incredible party--free-flowing drinks, nonstop tacos, and the food never ran out. The energy stayed high from start to finish, and the whole event felt seamless and fun. Shout out to the DJ too! If you're looking for a venue for a corporate event or large celebration, this is absolutely one to consider. They clearly know how to host. One logistical note: parking in this area can be tough. I highly recommend taking public transportation or a rideshare to keep things stress-free.

    Food from Guam? San Francisco really does have it all. This was my first time trying this cuisine and I was blown away. I did not know what to expect, but I got exactly what I needed: delicious dishes, great portions, and unconventional flavors that somehow worked perfectly together. Sadly, I do not remember the names of most of the dishes, but I do remember the tinaktak. The handmade egg noodles had plenty of broth and the most incredible coconut aroma and flavor. It was next level. I could have had several bowls of that. The fried chicken was also 10/10. On my way to the bathroom I caught a glimpse of the patio and the vibes were immaculate. I honestly wish I had eaten out there, especially since they had live music. Such an insane spot. If I lived in SF, I would be there all the time. The servers were also very attentive.

    Hafa Adai! That's the greeting from Guam, that little island far into the Pacific near the international dateline that has long been a strategic US military location and a poor Japanese tourist's Waikiki Hawaii vacation spot. It is "Where America's day begins". The Chamorro people are the indigenous inhabitants of the Mariana Islands, including Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan and others). With a history spanning 4,000 years, they possess a distinct Austronesian language, a matrilineal society, and a culture deeply influenced by Spanish colonization, resulting in a unique blend of Micronesian, Spanish, and American traditions I have been to Guam more than once, and I actually have written about a dozen Yelp reviews there going back in time. (check my Collections). This popular restaurant around Mission and 18th is an excellent representation of the food and culture of Guam. I came here and dined with someone from Hawaii and 3 people from Guam! And they knew what to order. The food was delicious and flavorful, and well prepared. (See pics and menu). The space is deceptive, because besides the indoor dining room that is very nicely decorated with Guamanian representations, there is a huge patio almost 3x bigger! And the weather was great, and this Saturday night in April they had live music! Fabulous food and fun here at Prubechu with Manny, Anny, Terry and Therese. BTW, the meaning of Prubechu: "You're Welcome": It is used as a polite reply to "thank you". "Take Advantage/Enjoy": from the Spanish word provecho, it can be used to wish someone well, similar to "bon appétit" or to say "enjoy your meal".

    Great food that you wouldn't normally think of trying, Guamanian inspired food. I'm not a pro at Guam food but this place is pretty legit Order the Coco wings the beef and mushroom noodles the bread as well as the mushroom Empanada everything was delicious Tried a bunch of their cocktails as well unfortunately they ran out of their non-alcoholic beers would love to see those back in stock Very kid friendly

    We went with my family on a Friday night and were seated indoors, even though I would have preferred sitting outside, where there was a live band and it actually seemed warmer than inside. But I didn't know it before. The restaurant offers family-style dining, but in my opinion the prices are on the high side. We started with the sweet roll, which was good. We also tried the beef and mushroom empanada , not bad, though I prefer empanadas with a softer dough. The chicken kelaguen wasn't my favorite; for my taste it was overly lemony. The chicken skewers, however, were good. Overall, I had higher expectations for both the food and the service, and unfortunately they didn't quite meet them.

    This is probably one of my favorite restaurants that I've tried in SF so far. We sat outside on a Friday night and they have every table next to a heater so I was never cold. They had a live band playing which made the atmosphere even more fun (but I could still hear the person I was talking to). The people working there were so kind and helpful. We got recommendations from the hostess and they were all hits. 1. To start off we got the chamorro sweet rolls which were light, fluffy, and sweet. 2. Then the ***Ko'Ko' Wings*** which were unbelievably good. They had so much flavor from the rub plus some acidity from the sauce. The outside was crispy and then inside was juicy. Probably the best wings I've tried here so far. 3. For our main entrees we got the Crispy and Sweet Pork belly which was good by itself but even better if you fix up a bite with the pineapple, cabbage, etc on the side. We also got the brisket skewer which was perfectly cooked and delicious with the rice. 4. The person taking our dessert order gave us his two favorite desserts so we got the ice cream with caramel candies and the banana donuts. Both were delicious but the **banana donuts** were my favorite. Warm, crunchy on the outside, and a delicious banana filling on the inside PLUS a light banana cream on the side. Anyway sorry for the world's longest review but I just can't stop raving about this place. The staff were 10/10 (everyone was so kind and helpful), the food was 10/10 (honestly no misses), and the music/vibe of the outside area was a 10/10 (fun and lively). We had a great time and I will be recommending Prubechu to everyone I know.

    I found this restaurant on the "find gluten free" app for my partner who was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease. We came last weekend when there was torrential downpour but their outdoor patio was well equipped with heaters and coverage. We really enjoyed sitting our hot tea with their to die for empanadas. The service was impeccable, they came by frequently and you can tell they cared! Lovely color scheme outdoors! The wings were sooo good but had a turmeric like spice that dyed our fingers yellow even after a wash. We don't care, the wings were delicious, but if this is a problem for you pass on the wings. We can't wait to come back to try their dessert! thank you for an amazing evening!

    4.5 stars. I honestly can't think of another place apart from the Pacific Islands themselves of all the places I've traveled or thought about traveling where I had the opportunity to eat Guamanian food. Whereas I would ordinarily not recommend eating or doing something for the novelty of it, I really do think the lucky citizens and visitors of the Bay Area/SF should seize upon trying Prubechu, which lives up to its name of wishing a tasty, satisfying meal. They have one of the lone remaining parklets/outdoor dining areas after COVID restrictions were lifted, and it's cozy as hell with beautifully thriving plants and roaring heaters - plus a much better music/sound level than inside. We overheard the next couple talking about how pleased they were to be able to happily eat outside, and felt the same. Good thing too because unfortunately the interior was a little wanting in charm. Don't worry about being neglected outside: service was 5/5. Everyone was prompt and/or attentive without being pushy, especially about bringing or refilling drinks. The food took a little longer than I guessed by cook time to come out, but we'll take hot and fresh. I agree with many other reviews that the porrtion sizes are disproportionate to what you would expect of the main and appetizers. Yet the fried chicken - a frequent complaint at only five pieces for $25 - ended up being our favorite tasting dish and earned its worth in how unique and precise the flavoring was. Each dish was a delight and surprise to the palate, if underwhelming in the amount. We overheard a happy larger group that got to try more dishes than us, and I would come back with a larger party to try the full menu.

And if you have a sweet tooth, order an ube latte or thai tea, and finish with a Sweet Dream. It comes with waffles and a side of fruits, ice cream, fudge, and whipped cream.

WHAT I GOT: the plow PROS: those lemon ricotta pancakes were as good as they say. super fluffy, great lemon flavor, balanced out the rest of the heavier, greasier items on the plate nicely. they were absolutely delicious. the potatoes were also up there. super crispy and flavorful. service was speedy and friendly with no line at all when we got there. granted we arrived at like 8am on a thursday morning but within the next 10-15 minutes of us arriving, most of the tables inside were occupied. CONS: ok i know this is me complaining about something that's just a "san francisco" thing, but i feel like the portion size did not match that $26 price tag. yes, the pancakes were delicious, but i was expecting them to be a bit bigger for how much i was paying. like they don't have to be diner sized but it just felt a bit underwhelming.
