I've been wanting to try a local coffee shop and stop giving Starbucks my money so I tried this place out. Upon entering I said hi to the barista and she looked me straight in my face and said absolutely nothing. So I said hi again and told her it was our first time there. She pointed to the board behind her and mentioned something about the menu and that was it. I asked her what was good and what did people purchase the most and she barely responded. My daughter and I placed our orders and waited. The drinks were good but the customer service was LOUSY. The woman who walked in after us didn't seem to have the same issue. Wonder why. We came in on a hot monday afternoon. The barrista was having attitude. We said that we were ready to order she gives us no response. I ring the bell and she just gives me this death stare. Then she takes the order and we sit down and ANOTHER customer comes in and she switches up, giving them better service. And the coffee wasn't very good either. Really strong coffee taste so it tastes no better than a normal cup of coffee. Really overpriced. 5 bucks for a medium coffee drink with the SLIGHTEST essence of whatever flavor you ordered. read more

This is a very nice local coffee shop. It is located in a small strip mall, so parking is not an issue here in the mall's private lot. There is a small outdoor patio to sit and enjoy your drink. That is where people sit with their four legged friend since they are not allowed in the shop. The shop has a small table with a couple of chairs and a lounge area with a couch and plants inside. It has a living room-like feel to it. In addition to teas, cappuccino, lattes, hot and iced coffees, they have a few homemade baked goods. Be sure to check out some of their signature brews. It has a real chill coffee house type of vibe going. The shop offers catering and is available to be rented for private events after hours. The person working the shop during my visit was very nice and helpful. I got a large iced raspberry white mocha with oat milk. It took less than 5 minutes to prepare and it was very savory. I really liked it. I kept trying to get more out of my cup, even though deep down I knew that I had drank it all. This is an awesome local coffee shop with a great staff, amazing vibe and mouthwatering drinks. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and looking to get your coffee fix. read more

I miss Bee Coffee but this strip mall espresso bar and colorful renovated barn hole in the wall gives the same buzz! I dropped in for a quick pre performance perk, drooled over the autumn specialty lattes, found myself stuck with the jasmine amaretto as one I've never sipped before. Staff was polite and patient with my menu scouting. This hive has all the sweet cozy woody mood of old fashioned Democrats. I enjoyed good wifi too but wished the laptop table was closer to hand. Didn't see the back room with actual tables til I was all spread out, my large house crafted caffeine nectar showed up looking like a James Webb space swirl. A quick dive gave all the good hints for java and handmade syrups playing well together, so good, this Indianapolis cafe scene rules and here's to another fantastic must try option alongside Blue Mind, Rabble, Commissary, and Bovaconti! read more

This is a delightful space! I decided to come here because their website was very LGBTQ+ friendly and I love the botanical theme. I called ahead to make sure they had lavender lattes since I couldn't find the menu online, and the person was very nice and said yes. The location used to be Bee Coffee & ROasters but they closed. Their barista at the time decided she wanted to open a coffee shop there, and did! The barista was super friendly and gave me a frequent-use punch card for rewards (yay free things-eventually). She said they make their own lavender syrup, and I can tell! It was very good. I would probably only rec this place and Mocha Nut on the south side that actually makes good lavender letters. The interior is SO cute. I wish I lived closer so I could come all the time! Lots of nice seating options. You must go here - great service, great coffee, and great adorable space to be in. read more

Love this place! They have great food and coffee and are always very sweet! I used to come here to study occasionally but they close at 2-3 now so I only go in the mornings. Service is always great and quick and they also made my dog the cutest pup cup. The ambiance I will say the decor in there is different but it's very chill and a good study environment/pretty quiet. read more

In a strip mall on the corner of 56th and Lafayette road. Service is quick and sweet. Straightforward coffee stop with some good flavors to choose from. The veggie croissant is delicious. Get it with the sriracha honey. Inside has good seating for waiting and some books in the back of the store. Will be back! read more

Came here for a quick coffee and to sit for a bit. It was a very quiet and peaceful experience. There was some lovely slower music playing the back at a reasonable volume where you could have a conversation comfortably and hear the other person if you desired. I love the greenery all over. There are plants everywhere you turn in this shop. They also have some local art for sale on their walls. It was a little cold but they had space heaters here as well making it feel quite cozy! I had the teddy graham latte which is honey and brown sugar. Surprisingly, it was not too sweet, I would say it was balanced well. I did not have to wait too long for my drink (no more than 5 minutes) even with a large order before me, and there only being one barista. read more

I try to come here often because it's close enough to my house and usually the iced mochas are good. The past 3 times I have been they have been closed unexpectedly. Once was a random Friday morning with no notice on the door. Second was Mother's Day and I watched the employees leave after I had attempted to go in. Yesterday (Memorial Day) I checked instagram knowing I have been burned too many times by them. There was nothing saying they'd be closed, but of course when I arrived there was a paper sign on the door saying they'd be closed all race weekend. Love love love Gaia Cafe and Botanical! It's our absolute favorite coffee shop! Their coffee is unbeaten; they use local coffee beans, house made syrups, and just perfect recipes. Their mocha is the best ever, and I just tried the pumpkin spice and it's unreal. The workers there are super nice too and are always willing to strike up a conversation. There's so much to love at this place, they also have the most amazing vibe, with couches, books, plants, local artists' art for sale, and so much more. There's just something so comfortable about Gaia Cafe and Botanical that my boyfriend and I just love and keeps us coming back multiple times a week lol! read more
