Can't go wrong with a $5 cheese or $6 pep slice during a show. Hhard and soft drinks served. Not much of a line during intermission got seats too. and I thought the pizza was delicious.

Decided to stop in here during the intermission at the Regent theater next door. These two organizations musy have a great relationship, as the Regent crowd is directed into this particular pizzeria both during intermission, before and even after the show apparently. Came here with a guest as we were both here to see a live performance at the Regent theater next door. He wanted pizza, and I wanted chicken, so we kind of settled and went with the Hawaiian pizza and fat chicken tenders. The lady behind the counter was really nice, and the guy who made the pizza before eyes was pretty impressive as well. The food was great. Would highly recommend either before, during, or after a show at the Regent theater next door.

Before we headed into the venue next door we grabbed a slice of pizza to curb our hunger. Quick service since the pizza is already made and just needs a quick oven toss to heat it up. The pizza was good and flavored just right. They offer beer on draft if you want to pay less than The Regent venue next door.

Came for a quick bite before a comedy show next door wince we came directly from work. Liked the vibe of this small pizzeria and liked the fact that she pre-show was streaming onto the TV while I waited for our food. Service was friendly and quick to take our order. We ordered the Neapolitan pizza and truffle fries. Was thinking I might miss a lot of the show but nope... they got it out to me quickly. We grubbed on the pizza and ruffle fries in the theater watching the show. The pizza was ok, we wish it had more seasoning but it did the job. The truffle fries were well seasoned and crisp enough that we went through it really fast. Will definitely try the other pizzas if come back to the theater.

The pizza is really good! It's made with wood fire the customer service is great. It's located inside The Regent. Manager is cool and they do a great job. They also sell beer, Micheladas and other food. Great ambience!

Not too much to write about since our party was in a rush and needed a quick bite to eat. Prufrock Pizzeria was on the way and decided to stop on by to grab a quick pizza. It was very interesting to know that this establishment is connected to the Regent theater. As people were coming out of the theater to use the restroom, the door would open and the music can be heard. I personally would like to come back and give Prufrock Pizzeria a fair shot at a review. Possibly the next time visiting the Regent will be a nice chance. =) As for now... VERDICT: One and done

Cool and convenient place to grab a bite while you're seeing a show at the Regent. It's connected to the theater so you don't have to go outside. Space is a bit limited. There's a few tables inside and some counters for standing along the wall. Service was good. Friendly staff. Prices aren't too bad either. The pizza is just ok though.

I have yet to find a pizza joint in DTLA that I'm inclined to really rave about like I do about my favorite spots in San Diego (Basic) and San Francisco (Tony's). While Prufrock is great in that it's so close to my apartment, it's still not quite as good as some of the other spots I've had in the area. Points of comparison for this review include: Vito's Pizza: 4 Stars sixth+mill pizzeria: 4 Stars Baldoria: 4 Stars Braazo Pizza: 3 Stars Superfine Pizza: 2 Stars Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Prufrock Pizzeria is a cool little spot tucked away within the Regent Theatre. A logical follow up question to that statement might be "it's in the theater? So is it loud when there's a show going on?". Yes. Yes it's very, very loud in there when there's a show going on, so maybe look elsewhere for a date. However, the service is fast and friendly from there. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? The personal-ish pizzas at Prufrock (the 10") will run you $12.00, which is a perfectly standard price point. I ordered two and fed a party of three easily with a few slices to spare. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? I was looking for a token spicy pizza from Prufrock, and the server pointed me in the direction of 'The Spicy Vegan'. Vegan pizza oui vey, but having been on a bit of a vegan kick I went for it. For starters this was by no means bad - it had decent crust and some good kick, but the one thing I couldn't get over was the cheese. Remember the cheese in a can that you'd put on crackers as a kid? This tasted a bit like that and wrecked my digestive track in the same way, but can you really fault vegan cheese? I also ordered a non-vegan veggie pizza, which was fine but not particularly memorable. Single Star. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? The competition is simply too stiff in the area to recommend Prufrock. No Star.

What happened to the Cauliflower crust pizza?

It does not appear to be there anymore. When I asked if they had any gluten free options, I was met with a deer-in-the-headlights look by the cashier who said, "Fries?"

Anyone know if they have any gluten free options?

There is a cauliflower crust on the Toto that is gluten free. There are some gluten free small plates as well. However, it would not be recommended to eat here if you have Celiac's.

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

Initially we were going to…read moretry De La Nonna, but they were closed for a special event and we didn't know when we showed up. In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part.
