But it all changed when that last accident totaled three cars due to someone driving under the influence. And so began my search for the perfect new (or potentially used) car. I went to so many dealerships and test drove everything I thought I might like. Volvos, Lexus, Subaru, Mazda, Mercedes, BMW and Toyota to name a few. I called dealerships. I searched online. I had so many tabs open on my phone & photos saved that it was beginning to overwhelm me. I was disappointed and lied to by more than one salesman to be sure until I visited FAMILY TOYOTA in Burleson. My salesman was Dominic Gomez and how he changed my perspective of a car salesman! He was honest & upfront with me and genuinely cared about my needs, budget and concerns. He heard me out and was patient to the point of even setting up my phone with the Toyota App. When I was ready to buy my new Toyota BZ, he didn't flinch when I said I needed to drive the Toyota Crown "just to be sure" since I love a luxury car. In the end, I went with the new 2026 BZ Limited BEV (battery electric vehicle) as I just love the smooth ride, platform and trim (not to mention the huge savings by not buying gasoline)! She was able to get it back to where she was staying that week. I drove out the following day and was able to identify that the radiator had cracked. it was about 10:30am on Friday. I called around to several shops and most were willing to do the work, but couldn't get it done until Saturday or maybe even Monday. This was not ideal. All that changed when I called Don Perry's Garage. I was talking to Donny and he said he could probably get it done that day. I told him I was just passing through and he said he'd definitely get it done that day. He said "cmon down and we'll get you fixed up. I'll pick us up some lunch and you can hangout here till it's done." This is 100% true! So I headed on down and spent the afternoon with Donny and Kelly. We ate lunch together and chatted for a few hours. Hanging out there I got a real behind the scenes look at how they run their business. How they communicated with their customers on the phone or in person was all top shelf. The transparency they shared with their customers is like nothing I've seen in this business. If they made a mistake, they owned up to it. If they could get a better price on a part, they would and then would pass the savings on to the customer. I've got to also give a shoutout to their senior tech James. He's been there over 30 years and knows his stuff! There's a reason they have been in business as long as they have! The reality is, I probably will never need their service again. Our paths may never cross again. Next morning got a call to follow up and find out what needed done. Showed up at appt time and was greeted outside by Tristan who was very nice and helpful. Got a call about 3 hrs later that car was done which was a pleasant surprise as didn't expect it back until next day. Granbury Kia had fixed both the recall issues and noticed needed a computer update for cruise control which they updated. Wife asked about touch up paint to cover a scratch that someone had given the car in a parking lot. Took wife back to parts and got her the right touch up paint. All in all it was a good experience with Granbury Kia. Will be going there for service on the Telluride for sure.

I began my journey with multistate in March and finally in July Integrity Auto mechanics in Colleyville fixed my problem after I had spent almost $6000 with multi state. My problem was obviously not transmission, but a completely melted down cable that controlled all the electrical parts of my vehicle which Integrity fixed for $600. Every time I would take my car back into multistate after replacing my transmission, they would say oh it's the cable from the gearshift, then it was the electric switch on the transmission itself. Finally, they admitted it was electrical and sent me to integrity where Matt promptly found the problem and fixed it for $600 and he said it was just a blessing my car didn't catch on fire and me driving it.
