We watched a culinary showing of Spirited Away. It was such a fun experience. The food was excellent. Great date night option.

1 star because of their billing for food in the theater. They add a 10% hidden "dine-in" fee to all orders which is not optional. It's not a tip, that's also recommended separately. The pre-movie screens do mention it briefly if you arrive early but they are out of date and show it as 7.5%, clearly indicating they've been raising this fee. I expect higher costs for food in a theater and am fine to pay them, but just include them in the price for the food rather than hiding them at checkout. You'd have a 5-star review from me in that case. read more

I think the convenience of having someone serving you popcorn when you're already seated is nice. The recliner chairs are very comfortable, and I usually get there 30 minutes early to be seated and order food. The food is tasty for movie food; I always enjoyed the pretzels and the popcorn feel fresher than some other places I won't mention. I would go here again and again if I had the choice. read more

Very fun experience to dine and watch a movie! Everything is very stream lined and efficient, so we have no issues. When you find your theater and sit in your seat, there is a QR code where you can place your order for food and drinks. After about 15 min our food came out. I ordered the Greek wrap with avocado instead of fries, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I was worried the food would be lack luster, and more of a gimmick, but everything was actually very tasty. The wrap was a little tough, but again, very tasty overall. The seats were very clean and comfortable, plus they recline all the way back. I wish the tray came a little closer to the back of the chair, but it is able to swivel to allow easy access if you need to get up. The servers are very kind, and are able to deliver food without blocking too much of the movie you're watching. Overall very fun experience, and would love to come back. But we warned, it can get very expensive very quickly. About 25 dollars a person for just food, and then once you buy tickets and drinks it can be much more. read more

The process to get your tickets is easy. You can purchase online or in the lobby. The seats recline and they have a tray that you can swivel in front of you to rest your drink and food on. I swear I've been to the theater before but maybe I never checked in? Lol it's a smaller theater and looks more like an old dive bar by the entrance, but as you walk into the actual theater itself, you realize the seats are all great recliners that fully extend like a lazy boy, and And our leather so you don't have to worry about lice since I have long hair or anything. Lol no, I always wear my hair in a bun and wear a hoodie in Theaters ! Lol. There is a concession stand off to the left as you walk in, but they tell you to order all the actual food and drinks at your table/seat with a special QR code that you scan with your phone, and then a server comes directly to you! The service was very accurate And quick, so I was appreciative of that since my son was hungry, and I was dying for a cup of coffee! My son got the French toast and fried chicken and he loved it! It came with wrapped silverware that was actually metal, so he was able to cut the French toast with ease! I was also very surprised to see they had the organic Numi tea! Great choice in vendors! Hee. I was also worried because we made three separate orders that each time I would be charged 20% gratuity but at the end a server came as the movie was wrapping up with one overall bill in which they only charged me 20%. A little expensive, but they were very tentative and helpful so I don't mind tipping at 20% automatically when the service is well deserved! Also, one of the reasons why I'm writing this review! I would honestly give them five stars, but I'm sure there's some sort of way they can improve something I just don't know what yet! But everything was amazing!! This movie theater is the best around the Bay Area and further! The recliners are the best seats at any movie theater I have been to. I have been coming here for years. We love our experience here whenever we come! We came here twice. The last time was for Beetlejuice and it was spectacular. The movie theatre is good and I love how they have a dine-in experience. It makes things easier and we don't have to worry about eating beforehand and can eat there. We've tried quite a few things there and everything we've tried was delicious. I like how they have special movies from the past along with like pre fix meals which i think is so fun. We definitely wanna check those out sometime in the future. This place is the closest movie theater and we're so glad we have it here. Parking can be hard but you will find something eventually even if you have to park a little bit further away. read more

It's not often that I go see a movie, but in the past few weeks, we have been to 2 movies at the Pruneyard Cinemas. Both times, we arrived at the theater and were greeted, checked in and directed to our theater. The first movie we saw was Beetlejuice. The movie was great. Ordered a couple cocktails which came quickly and were incredibly delicious. Shared a giant pretzel and mozzarella sticks. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Last night we went and saw Wild Robot. The movie was so cute and captivating. We saw the 8:55pm showing, so it was a small crowd but the staff was still very attentive. The movies and staff were great, we even stopped for a quick drink at The Cedar Room on our way out. Pruneyard Cinemas is a staple in Campbell and offers you a way better experience than a big box theater. We will be back for more! read more

I just discovered Pruneyard Cinemas searching for a theater near my mother's memory care facility. Mom has Alzheimer's. There was comfortable accessible seating and I was able to order our snacks from our seat and they were delivered to our seat. This made for a much safer and enjoyable experience for both of us. I found the prices average, the food above average. I was very surprised with how friendly and accommodating all the staff we interacted with were. The young lady working behind the refreshment counter, the bartender and even the cleaners were over and beyond attentive and friendly. We found the venue very comfortable and welcoming. Mom was loving the reclining seats. We attended a Saturday matinee today. We did not use the restroom. I've already joined the loyalty program. This is our 'go to' theater from now on. Came here with a friend to watch Dune2 tickets are &15:50 after all is said and done. The lady that scammed are tickets was nice and had a big smile. She told us that once we get to our seats that we can scan the bar code and order cooked food from the kitchen as well as drinks. When you purchase your tickets you can choose from the available seating chart so you don't have to rush in and fight for seats. "We got center front seats on the second section" the chairs are fantastic as they recline nearly all the way back and are huge."felt like a child sitting on it, lol" the area was also clean and better yet no smells except from the food that was ordered around us. The sound quality was pretty good although a little on the loud side, overall a good experience. read more

It's a theater, so the bar is fairly low. But it is one the best theaters I've been too and I'd rather drive across town to the Pruneyard than theaters closer to me! I've noticed this theater is well staffed, which helps make sure it says clean. You can order food and drinks using the button service, but just be aware that there is an automatic 20% gratuity added to the final check (which is given for you to sign during the closing credits). I can't say I'm a fan of eating my food in darkness (popcorn excluded) but I do like ordering drinks. These days, I usually order my popcorn at the counter before walking in to save on the extra gratuity fees. I do suggest arriving at least a few minutes early to get settled. This last time one of our chairs didn't recline, but we were already late to the movie and didn't want to make a fuss. read more

Quite some time later, they brought one food item. Quite a bit later, my son's popcorn arrived, but the adult beverages? Their only appearance was on the bill. Ridiculous. Management was not helpful, although I was refunded for the undelivered drinks. When I asked what had happened, I got a shrug and a "meh, it's been busy." Save yourself the time and aggravation, go and enjoy the show, but get your refreshments elsewhere. read more

We came for a Valentine's date night! We really appreciated they were playing some movies the bigger theaters weren't playing. We loved picking our seats ahead of time and being able to order from our seats although it's advised to do before the movie starts as it is pretty dark in there. The seats were soooo comfortable, I could've slept. Everything was good but the popcorn wasn't that good. Needed more flavor, even with the butter and salt on top. Loved the deals of popcorn, a drink and candy. All in all, a good experience and we will be back! read more

I love this theatre so much. They are a locally owned and operated gem where you can have cocktails and surprisingly good food delivered to your seat. The staff are incredible and so helpful and flexible. They have craft cocktails and a pretty diverse menu. My favorite is the Mediterranean chicken wrap. They also have super fun events at the bar that's attached for comedy nights. And don't forget the culinary cinema where the chef makes a three course meal that matches with the movie. These ones sell out though! Next time you're going to the movies, please support this place over one of the big chains. read more

The parking here is horrible, we had to circle the lot several times before getting a spot. Give yourself extra time to find parking. We loved the concept of this event, but the execution of this event needs a lot of work. The film that was playing was Jaws accompanied with a seafood dinner. The first problem is the lighting, you cannot see your food and eating was very difficult. Severing prawns with the tails on over a bed of rice in the dark, is a choking hazard waiting to happen. We were served 3 courses, the first two courses should have been served hot but were lukewarm at best. I'm not even sure what these courses were since I couldn't see what was on the plate. I do know there was no vegetables in either course. The dessert was okay, but I couldn't tell if the cup holding the dessert was made of paper or chocolate so I didn't eat it. The movie its self was fun, but I can't recommend this event. It was very expensive and the meal was not worth the added cost. read more

Very cute theater- love the dine in concept. They have kiosks right when you enter to print your own tickets from your phone. The inside of viewing room we were in is very cozy. The chairs are very comfy. My drink was nice and tart. I loved my soft pretzel - it wasn't overly salted and had a nice crunch. The cheese dip was ok - I would like to have it be warmed up a bit since it wasn't as creamy (pub cheese) but that's just a preference. As far as service - I ordered right upon seating and I got it prior to movie starting. We sat in the very last row and the delivery of food to other patrons was a little distracting for me. The workers were quick when dropping off the food but just seeing a lot more movement that my eyes tended to go there - so I would probably have sat more towards the front and maybe a movie that I wouldn't care to miss parts of. I would get it a 0 after my experience. I always try to show this movie theatre some support because it is a local theatre but I'm not anymore. First of all they are not equipped for the hearing impaired viewing because their devices for the deaf community don't work. We missed half a movie cause they worked improperly. Then, another time after buying of course tickets and 62 dollars worth of food at the theatre I was scolded cause I had outside food. The guy wanted to make me feel intimated as he watched me with his arms folded at the end of the row until I left to put my food in my car. I will not go back to this theatre and will go to the mainstream theaters cause it's not worth it to me anymore. I was so disappointed in the experience I had. My sisters, husband and I went here recently for the new Wicked movie. This was probably my second time there and we really enjoyed our movie experience. The seats were comfy and ordering food was easy. The staff prompt with the food and drinks and always tried to come by with least disturbance as possible. The food was surprisingly delicious. I got the shrimp skewer which was a new menu item and paired it with a white wine(Josh sauv blanc). It was a good meal, as you could imagine, hard to eat in the dark, but still good. My husband enjoyed his burger and fries too. I had some fries and they were very nicely crisped. The only thing is, parking can be really bad and it was raining that night so we wanted close parking. It's small with only a few screen/auditorium but it's fancy because it's connected to a bar room and you can order drinks/food from your seat (or drink before, lol). The seats recline and are super comfy. Tickets are a bit more expensive but they have $8 tickets on discount Tuesday so if you want to save a few bucks and enjoy a movie then come here. You can order dinner from their menu which consists of the usual stuff like burgers, sandwiches, fries, popcorn and other snacks. Or I just recommend eating at one of the restaurants located at the Pruneyard and then head inside to the theater. They also have comedy night and culinary cinema that includes a 3 course meal! The Pruneyard is a gem! From the lounge seaters, friendly staff, and quick service to the delicious food and cocktails, it's our favorite theater in the South Bay. Our server was attentive to bringing a share plate, extra napkins, and utensils. The nachos had no business being that good! Everything was made in house and fresh. I would come back just for these nachos that transported me on a vacation to Cabo. We had the best kettle corn of our lives here, but I haven't seen it on the menu in quite some time. The drink special was not only creative (served with a syringe of juice), but so tasty. It's no surprise that the cocktails are great as the theaters are attached to the Cedar Room (great craft cocktails!) The sound quality has always been perfect and they never overrun ads to the point of annoyance. They also have plenty of fun events (Pitch your Single Friends...love it!) running every week. Can't wait to do a dine in cinema. We also love supporting local and so glad Pruneyard continues to serve our community well. read more
