I'm not sure why this place had high marks. It only gets a 3 because the waitresses were friendly and efficient. We ordered fish and chips, and the Ole Joe salad. The fries were good, but the fish was bland and Luke warm. The tartar sauce was made with sweet relish. My salad, which was basically a chili salad, tasted like it was out of a can. Canned chili, unripe tomatoes, mild cheese, iceberg lettuce. No dressing, no sour cream, and definitely no flavor. Skip it. read more

The hours posted online are wrong!!! We were totally oblivious when we arrived 4 minutes after closing (7 pm, not 8!) but the staff was gracious (never mentioned it till I asked) and food was good. I didn't know we were after hours until the other party in the place mentioned it. Lots of interesting historical items hanging on the ceiling and walls provoked conversations that kept kiddo engaged. read more

The atmosphere here is really cool I feel like you could look around for hours. This is nothing compared to how amazing the service is friendly honest and hard working the gentlemen we dealt worth were flat out amazing. Be sure to try the fish the chef/owner takes a lot of pride in what he does and you can really taste it in the fish! read more

I was very disappointed. After seeing all the great reviews on Yelp I was really looking forward to a nice dinner. I was told by the wait-person that the fish taco was great and very good size. It was a thin piece of breaded fish in a taco shell with some colored chips, and what looked like some coleslaw under it. I was not impressed and I was still hungry so I ordered some desert and I got the pie with ice cream. It was a very small slice of pie and some soft serve ice cream in a very small cup alongside. I didn't get sick so I gave them two stars, but I was not full and I was not impressed. I will not go back. read more

I went here for the first time craving clam chowder and I have to say , really great chowder!! Def will be back!

Was recently advertised on the local news for the best fish and chips so we decided to check it out. Cute little place has a drive-through but has seating on the inside ....Kinda reminds me of an old burger joint that's been spruced up. Tableservice servers were nice but not a whole lot of personality. Table ordered the famous fish and chips and the jumbo prawns all the meals came with the clam chowder which was very tasty but a little heavy on the flour it seemed. Fish was fresh and crispy in a corn meal type of dredge. The jumbo prawns were kind of like beer batter but had no taste, needed seasoning. They had other menu options like burgers and pie will definitely come back and give it another try read more

**revision of initial review** First review: Have been going here for years, since they opened, and I've yet to be disappointed. The Philly Cheese Steak, when on special, is to die for. Their East Farms burger is a must have is you are a meat lover. The fish is hand cut daily. Milkshakes thick and tasty. Started bringing our boys there now and they LOVE it. New review: After going here for years (see above) the past two times we went there the service was so ungodly horrible that we have decided to NEVER return. Having loud, obnoxious teenagers running your front of house while the owner is cooking, and is watching them act like jackasses in a crowded restaurant, is extremely unprofessional. The waitress was so rude, so, so rude, that I nearly walked out (only my hungry boys kept me seated). I commented on this via their facebook page, and their response (I'm assuming by the same rude, loud and unprofessional teenagers) was Oh well, it happens. Well, f-u. Great find off the beaten path! We live seven hours away, and found this during a week of training down the road at the Spokane Valley Training Center. Super friendly staff, fresh food, and great service. We sat down to order and our food was out piping hot in seven minutes! Which is awesome when you have to be back to class at a certain time. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich special with fries and a drink for $9.95.. very tasty! I got it with BBQ on the side. Husband got the fish, fresh, crispy, and flakey. Best tarter sauce we had both ever had!! Small menu done right with great prices! Highly recommend! read more

3 hours later and I'm still chapped over the experience... 45 minute wait. $70 bill for 5 people to eat... Insane. This clearly isn't "fast" food, but it is most definitely is fast food quality. Pros: It was all hot. Burgers were pretty good. Milkshakes were thick but seriously bland. Cons: tarter sauce is a weird sweet flavor. If your a fish and chip snob, I'd take a hard pass. So much hype over this place and I'm still sitting here puzzled...We would never wait 45 minute again and for the price....we most definitely won't be back. read more

Good little fish and chips joint. The fish is thinly breaded and not greasy. The fries are cooked nicely. The sauces are huge, so you shouldn't have to pay to order more- we did the family meal and the four sauces that are included were plenty. The chowder tastes like can chowder but is still good. The coleslaw is good and crunchy. Old fashioned soda choices. Decorations are odd. The place is quirky and quaint. Nice staff. read more

Husband had 3 pc fish w French fried, cole slaw, fish chowder. He raved. I had the 12 pc shrimp w fries and it was fabulous. The waitress asked if either one of us wanted a milkshake that was made by mistake. I asked the flavor which was huckleberry and I took it. One of the best milkshakes I've every had. OMG, was this the best fish n chips I've had in a long time. This restaurant knows how to cook fish and they change their oil regularly (you can tell) - very important! The place isn't anything special on the outside, but who cares when the food is this good. They have hamburgers and other foods, but I wish they were in Orange County, CA and I would be a happy person. It's reasonably priced, quick on the service and great food. Yelp! needs to include this restaurant with their normal "restaurant" listing so you can find it. I wouldn't have looked for this restaurant under "fish". Come-on Yelp! but this place where people can find it and enjoy their food. I should mention that the inside of the restaurant is a place where American Pickers would like to visit. This is a super cute joint filled with novelty and charm! it's a hole in the wall style place and it's definitely no frills but the food is very yummy. They have homemade fry sauce and tartar sauce along with really good thick shakes. read more

I now understand why people use the word LOVE when describing Pryor's! First of all, it is an amazing micro museum. The ceiling and wall hangings alone would be worth the visit. I've been looking for good fish n chips since I moved to Spokane 15 years ago, and it took a move to the Valley to hear about Pryor's! The owner explained to me that they cut and bread the fish every day. (Those of you who remember how Skipper's USED to prepare their Cod filets way back in the day, these are prepared similarly). We've been coming here for years.... I hadn't been back there until tonight, after about 5 years.. The food is still amazing. The coleslaw was a little over dressed, but definitely still house made and fresh. Nothing is premade or breaded. Probably the best seafood you can get for seafood. This place has always been consistent and I'm a happy customer but the 'Captains Special' is like $18.50 and its not very impressive. For as expensive as it is my husband was disappointed. It had like 3 scallops a bit of tiny clams and 4 shrimp & the real disappointment we thought, was the fish that came with it. We thought it was going to be like the famous fish they serve. Nope. It was little strips of fish. Not the fillets. So tan was $30 total for a tad bit of fried food. (My ck sandwich was good tho) read more
