    Pasta

Very friendly staff. The original name comes from the owner's brother. When kids the brother said "spegaties". The name stuck. I had pasta with meatballs and it was very good. I left happy.

I'm a P'Sghetti's fan and I'm thrilled to see they recently opened up at 141 and I-44. I pass by this area pretty frequently on my way out to my farm. Today I was on my way back and had toasted ravioli for a late lunch/afternoon snack. I'm sure they don't make them but they were perfectly fried and I love their meat sauce. They were quite full when I was there considering it was a bit of an off time. Go out and support this local business. I'll be back.

Our Pasta Dinners and Sub Cold Sandwich!!

We have never been to this restaurant before but we are suckers for pasta and sub sandwiches! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles and people ready to take our orders. I got the Muscacholi dinner and it was so much food for $18 you are definitely getting your moneys worth! The meal was cooked perfectly, the dinner came with a loaf of garlic bread that was to die for! It was amazing and just tore apart so nicely. My husband got a chicken sub sandwich and the bread was soft and the chicken was cooked perfectly. We aren't ones for provolone cheese but it was so good on this sandwich as well as on my salad. I have never had provolone cheese on a salad but it did not disappoint. Our friend got the spaghetti dinner and he loved his food as well. It came out fast and hot just how we like it. Wait time was next to nothing! I'm not sure why because this food was amazing! As for the place it's self it was decorated very nicely and the lighting wasn't too harsh it also wasn't too bright. The vibe was amazing the people were amazing and the food was amazing 10/10 recommend!

I would love to get into the store and get my hands on a package of those, but alas, unless I shop between Monday and Friday, 11-4, I am out of luck. Imagine my horror as we pulled up at 2pm on a Saturday (after coming here on Saturdays before) after going to the store and buying everything my hubby needed to make me his amazing Lobster Ravioli, which is actually Midwest Pastas ravioli, but he makes a killer sauce for it, and its closed. So basically if you have a 9-5 job, you will never, ever be able to discover the wonderful things they offer here, which is a shame, and odd. Please for the love of God, open back up on Saturdays, thanks.

Midwest Pasta provides fresh pasta and flour to local restaurants. So they make their products in batches -- but anyone can walk in and purchase. There is always a supply of fresh pasta in the refrigerated section, as well as some frozen. I've had their mushroom ravioli, fettucini, gnocchi, pappardelle, and meat tortellini. Everything is DELICIOSO!! Their customer service is awesome. I stopped in to buy some fresh pasta, and was advised on what might pair best for my meal plan; and because I was traveling got an ice pack to help the pasta stay cooled. There is also a very small display of imported olives, olive oil, pesto, etc. However, the options are limited and display is limited to just a couple shelves. This is not a huge grocery, but it will accommodate small foodies out exploring the Cherokee Street Benton Park neighborhood. Double check store hours. They DO close early. So be sure to check hours and plan your visit accordingly. You'll miss out if you think you're stopping by after work or on the weekend.

There's both tables and booths along the walls. If you're in a larger party I def recommend calling ahead. We've had cocktails here, chicken parm sandwich, grilled chicken panino sandwich, fratellis salad, chicken Alfredo, tutto mare, spaghetti, the al formaggio, and the affogato. Everything has been delicious, fresh, and hot! The only complaint I'd make is that although it says panini for sandwiches they aren't the traditional paninis that are pressed & grilled but instead are just sandwiches so that was disappointing to find out after the fact. The staff are so friendly and attentive we hadn't been for almost 2 months and our waitress still remembered us & what I usually order. I love getting the al formaggio but instead of ravioli I get fettuccine, I love being able to have a portion of all 3 yummy sauces they have. Overall a great restaurant! I love that it's family owned, fresh ingredients, and a lot of stuff made from scratch (complimentary bread is yummy). My only true complaint would be that they don't sell that creamy Italian dressing by the bottle, would totally buy it all the time it's so yummy! Anytime we're in the area we'll be stopping by.

Even though we were 25 minutes early, our table was ready and we were immediately seated. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and also minutes after we were seated by our server. Our server was friendly and efficient. Drinks were delivered and refilled, as necessary. The ambiance is casual and comfortable. The decor is simple and tasteful. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our food, which was delivered hot and tasty. The only dish that wasn't 100% was my Chicken Spedini. I have had it there once before and it was amazing. This time, the lemon sauce was thick and sweet. Last time it was lemony and buttery. Otherwise, the Veal Parm was perfect, as were all of the other dishes. This is a nice restaurant with great service and quality cooked and tasting food.

Is Chappy's a Fried Chicken Restaurant or is it a Smash Burger Restaurant?…read moreDoes it really matter, when they do both very well? Chappy's is a 50's diner themed restaurant that could make you feel like you're a guest star on Happy Days. My first visit, I had to go with the fried chicken. My cleaning lady and other friends raved about it and they were right. The chicken was super crispy, the inside was extra juicy and the seasoning was on point. I was excited to see they offer about 10 different canned beers. Sometimes you just need a cold beer and they have both national and craft brands to choose from. However, if you want the true 50's diner experience, they have hand-scooped milk shakes, too. A heads up to soda drinkers, Chappy's is a Pepsi product restaurant. Oh, I forgot to tell you about my appetizer. I am Fried Pickles addict and I really liked theirs. The basket was way to full of deliciousness for one person. So be sure to bring someone to share it with. Chappy's does offer table service, which surprised me and the servers are attentive and friendly. I'll be going back soon to try their burgers and milk shakes.

Everything is Route 66 themed and there is some really fun signage on the walls. I got the STL 66 burger and fries, swapping the provel cheese for american. It tasted like no other strawberry esc milkshake I've ever had- it's a must try! (it's not on the menu, so you have to ask for it) To top it all off... free Hotwheels! If you let a waitress know it is your first time, they will bring out a bin full of Hotwheels for you to choose from. I believe kids meals also grant this. Had such a great time here- will definitely be coming back soon!

My husband and I ate here on a Friday night. The atmosphere was not great - it felt like it should be a nicer interior especially for the prices. The tables seemed like plastic card tables with tablecloth on them and the lighting was really dim, with fluorescent lighting. We were sat in a corner that was crammed too close by another table and unfortunately I was bumped into more than a few times - it was hard to get in and out of too. My husband ordered the burger and fries and I ordered a steak. We both ordered our dishes medium but they came well done. They took my steak back and made another, but it took a long time. By the time it returned, his dish was cold. They also didn't ask if his burger was cooked right so he just ate it. My sides were green beans (good) and baked potato (just okay) and it came with a caesar salad (too much dressing). Service left some to be desired. There are lots of food runners and water fillers, it seems, but we didn't see our server a lot nor was my water ever refilled. We had to ask for bread and had to wait awhile for it, as well. The prices especially for steaks are high. I got a 6oz sirloin I believe for $39. With my husbands burger, two waters (no drinks), tax and tip it was a $70 meal. Nothing offered for our delays, incorrectly cooked entrees, etc. Bummer that a nearby, locally owned spot didn't work as we love to support local when we can. If they could elevate some of the above mentioned components to match their prices and provide more consistent quality of dishes, that would vastly help!
