The Lindbergh location closes way too early so sometimes i have to order at Afton but i love grabbing takeout when they are open. I also love they have a takeout door you can pull up to and have them bring the food right out to the car. They offer a rotating menu of special, have online specials for families. Love the Pasta House for Sunday lunch - kids eat free and they have a lunch menu (even on Sundays!). Hostess sat us quickly with lots of menus - which equals lots of options. Very clean and multiple tv's to keep an eye on the game. Server Maya did a great job and was very attentive. Got our drinks quickly and brought us some nice hot fresh rolls. Which seem to be bottomless- she offered us each at least one roll and two if we wanted. Had the lunch pick two - great. Eggplant parmigiana with the famous pasta house side salad. Came with two large eggplant rounds. Very good and good texture - a little crunchy with sauce on top. (Not soggy mushy middle - yay!) Spouse had the cannelloni lunch meal - came with two tubes and the famous PH salad. She said it was very good. Guest had the soup and salad. Chicken noodle soup and famous PH salad. The soup looked and tasted homemade with lots of chicken. Not the long noodles - small cuts of a tubular noodle. She thought that was nice and easier to eat, instead of the long thin noodles you usually get with chicken noodle soup. Reasonable prices and delicious meals. She was very attentive, checked back with us numerous times to see if we were happy with our meal and to see if we needed anything. The parking lot is small. There are handicapped spots right in front of the doors. I placed an order by phone before dinner rush. My order was ready on time. I got two salads, and the salads were a pretty small size. The clerk at the pick up counter was efficient and friendly. I feel like the quality at PHC has declined in the last several years. The outdoors of the place is small, but the inside is pretty nice. I didn't come here for the inside though because I ordered takeout. I thought the furnishing here was a good bonus though. I ordered the lasagna, and garnish and condinments came with it. Oh yes. And soooooo much tomato sauce. I suppose that's a good thing? Food was alright, a bit too rich and heavy for my taste. This is possibly the best Pasta House left in St. Louis County. You can get better Italian by driving over to The Hill, but you're going to pay more. It seems that premium is shrinking somehow in these days of rising costs, but this place can still compete on convenience I suppose. They can handle large parties, which some other places with better (and pricier) food can't. Good service, was offered plenty of hot rolls. Standard Pasta House decor. Stopped in for dinner after some errands in the neighborhood. I got sat immediately and I ordered a 6pc toasted ravioli and fettuccini alfredo with extra garlic. The waitress mentioned that fettuccini already has garlic in it and I said "that's great! Please add some more!" The food and service were both fine. I eat regularly at various Pasta House locations all over St. Louis. The inconsistency across the board is mind boggling. Everything is dependent on who is making it. I was pleasantly surprised, actually. I'd gone to a PH some time ago and my perception was totally skewered. This is not what I had expected. This location was pretty nice, the staff was good, our waitress was super nice and the place was clean. You'll have to bear with me, I have a touch of ADD. I had lasagna for my entree. We started off with the fried mushrooms. I like morels. Have you ever had those? In our area where we used to live people found them everywhere except, even with our 6 acres, we couldn't find them on our property. What's that show on TV, Property Brothers? Is that what it is? Is it still on TV? The lasagna was good. There was enough to bring home for leftovers which I shouldn't really do anyway because I'm diabetic and the last thing I need is more carbs in my diet but this stuff was so good I decided to take the hit for it. I ended up just drinking water. I drink a lot of water at home. The mushrooms were a huge portion. Had I known it would be such a huge portion I wouldn't have ordered the side salad with my entree. Isn't it weird that in french "entree" means "come in"? Like, so the waitress comes by and says "Here we go with your come in." "Who had the chicken come in?" "And sir....what may I get you for your come in?" The salad was good, though. It was quite large. Again, had I known portion sizes a little more I wouldn't have ordered all that food. It wasn't wilted at all so it must have been freshly dressed. The pasta wasn't overcooked, it wasn't mushy, it wasn't dry around the edges, it was just right. That show, The Price Is Right? It wasn't. Well, the show was, the food wasn't. I miss Peewee Herman. Say what you will, that was a brilliant show. The mushrooms were alright. I won't get them again. My wife felt the same way. Did I mention my wire earlier? Ya, she was there. The mushrooms are cut into slices. They were a little dusty to me and not really meaty. Just...dusty. Oh, right, the price. So we ordered two Come Ins, mushrooms, and two salads. Cha-CHING! I think it was just over $70 with tip. A fair tip, we don't cheap out, the service was really good. But I felt it expensive. Take the prices into consideration when you order all the food. Appetizers, big portions. Salad, big portions. Come Ins, big portions. I'm sure we'll go back but probably just get an entree each and do without all the other extra stuff. Pasta house is our favorite restaurant, but we have been having bad experiences the last several times we have gotten food to go. Don't expect service here if you go to the bar around 5PM. Nobody comes to welcome you or take your drink order for at least 5 my mutes. That's how long I sat there today at 4:45pm before I left. I told the front ladies that they should provide a wait person for the bar. They appeared to be surprised that there was not a person there already. They continue to slide downhill. This location has stepped up its bar area service since I first posted this review. This is my 3rd visit since that unfortunate instance & they have fixed the problem. Carry out order. Large house salad was edible and had several artichokes. Rolls were warm. Stuffed artichoke had tasty bread crumbs in the leaves but the artichoke wasn't cleaned/trimmed properly. Garlic cheese bread was hard with barely any cheese. Pizza looked like it was made by child. Very sparse toppings, undercooked crust, glue-like barely melted cheese. Service is horrible. We were seated quickly because it wasn't at all busy. We sat at our table for 20 minutes before our waitress even acknowledged us. We were ready to order but only asked what we wanted to drink and she walked away. 10 more minutes she finally shows up with our drinks. We booked the Private Party Room for July 4. They demanded a $100 deposit which we paid. Two days prior we visited to select menu items. At that time they told us they had made the decision to CLOSE on July 4. No one ever called us, nor were they going to call us. THEY BROKE THE CONTRACT. Six in my party on Super Bowl Sunday and they weren't busy. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a side of white pasta, their side salad, plus iced tea. The service was okay. The salad was fresh and delicious. When the chicken came, it looked dry, and I was right. It was terrible and difficult to cut and chew.The pasta would have been good, but it was lukewarm and a real disappointment. I've been to several Pasta Houses in the past and must say this was the worst meal I've ever had there. Also, how could they have the nerve to charge $3.25 for a glass of iced tea? Went here for lunch with my grandma. We got the toasted raviolis which were delicious. We got the eggplant parmesan which was AMAZING! It tasted perfect, enough sauce, perfect amount of flavor and we loved the crispy edges! We didn't care for the salad. I got the broccoli as a side it was I think too over cooked for my liking and a little mushy. My grandma got the fries they make which she didn't know it had onions and black olives (she doesn't like black olives). Kathy C was our waitress and she was very friendly to us. She refilled the drinks very quick each time. She asked us how we were doing throughout the meal a few times but not annoying about it. She brought us bread 2 times. Called in a fairly big order today at the pasta house in St. Peter's. We waited patiently over 40 minutes only to discover that they never bothered to enter our order into their system. Having little othe choice we were forced to wait another 40 minutes! While mistakes happen we didn't even reveal apology. On top of it they acted like they were doing us a big favor. Never again.
