Servers seemed a little lost. First Watch has their front of the house working like a well oiled machine, with food runners also grabbing finished plates and topping drinks. They are a good template other restaurant owners should guest shop. But that aside, the ambiance here takes you to another place and you're able to carry a conversation indoors and for that you lose track of time and the service. The day we went the food didn't come out at the same time, so the kitchen might have been stressed, but the food quality and flavor was top notch. High marks for food, ambiance and a place you want to not cash out quickly at the end of your meal but rather sit and feel like you're a flight away from Tampa. Only knocked a star because it was peak time, but if it's like this on an off day I'd knock another star. Room for work but worth a visit. read more

I rarely eat Greek food outside Tarpon Springs so it is such a treat to have Psomi near South Tampa. So far I have only ordered takeout, but I look forward to eventually dining in because the restaurant looks gorgeous. The menu is so much more elegant than other Greek restaurants that I have been to and all of the ingredients are extremely fresh and of high quality. The pork gyro was so much better than any other gyro I have ever tried and consisted of a really nice cut of pork instead of your typical gyro "mystery meat". At $14 it was one of the most expensive gyros I have had, but it was worth every penny. The potato salad isn't my favorite, but the house cut fries are excellent and come with this Greek olive dip that I want to cover on everything! While the pork gyro is great, the lamb burger is my go to dish. Perfectly cooked ground lamb is paired with whipped feta on a buttery brioche roll. One of these days I am going to venture out and order the octopus ceviche and the orzo plaki, but the burger is so good!!! Sunday brunch looks amazing, especially the bagels and pastries so I have so many reasons to return to Psomi soon! read more

My sister and I went here for a girls brunch. It was super cute, however, I definitely would make sure to reserve an indoor table next time. While the patio is well covered, it can get very hot and they only have a couple fans so there is not a lot of air circulation. The food however was delicious, everything looked amazing as well as the drinks. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. I found this amazing restaurant by chance. I can't say enough great things about the food, the ambience and the service, thanks to my server, Chris. I really do not want to share this restaurant with the masses (can't this just be my little secret?), but local restaurants need the support of the community. Ok, let's get started... The ambience, inside and out, was so inviting! I felt like I was at the home of my best friend in Greece. The French Fries were appropriately seasoned and served with catsup (ketchup, whatever ‍). The best part was the Kalamata Olives Aioli!!! My taste buds were like...Whaaaaat?!?! The French Toast was so delicious. I typically do not eat French Toast, but this was the best, ever. I believe it was lightly stuffed with a custard and the array of fresh fruit was a delight. I even ate most of it without syrup. The Mimosas...I decided to make my own flight of Mimosas. I had grapefruit, pomegranate, but the best was the strawberry-lemonade. The most unbelievable thing was $5 for a generous pour!! I am always craving a good Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon (I think you can get bacon). The side salad makes this a complete meal by itself. Don't walk, run to this restaurant!! Welcome to a little slice of Greece in Tampa! You have to have reservations on the weekends but it is worth it. The parking is very tight but there is street parking as well as a lot two streets up. We were seated immediately and the menu is quite amazing. I got the Greek chick salad which had feta brined roasted chicken on it. Yes read that again... feta brined roasted chicken. It was as a good as it sounds. Loved the pairing of fries with it, everything in moderation right? My boyfriend got the Americana bagel/sandwich which he really liked but said that it does fall apart easily and the thick cut bacon is THICK. The drink I got was one of the prettiest citrus drinks I've had in awhile (I switched gin for vodka). It was light and refreshing. The vibes here transported me to Greece and was great for a weekend brunch. I most definitely will be back soon. read more

We ordered: -Avocado Psomi -Spanakopita -Tyropita -Kalamata olive + feta bread -melitzanosalata -Baklava -2 fresh drip coffees We ordered a few overlapping baked goods to try them all and to be honest, it's very very hard to pick a favorite. The feta is whipped and warm in each and the phyllo paper is very crunch. In each item you get texture and taste. The avocado psomi is full of flavor and is on their fresh psomi bread. The melitzaosalata was VERY fresh and was served with warm pita. We finished an amazing baklava. This place doubles as an amazing restaurant and bakery. This is only based on a togo order of bagels but it was not a very convenient set up. Parking is a struggle and I was kicked out of a spot by valet, that another employee said was ok, after I was already ordering. Had to go out and move my vehicle just for a few minutes of waiting. Besides that the bagels were pretty tasty when they were freshly toasted but pretty airy and somewhat stale 20 minutes after getting back home. I ate the BLTA, thick crispy bacon was to die for my son loved it. Our waiter today around 1030 whose name escapes me was on top of it and he was great with the kids he anticipated our needs it was an exceptional meal . The 2 hostess were very friendly & attentive. After seating us, since no waitstaff was near, they brought & filled our water. I've been here many times, love the atmosphere vibe, food is great. Today, not so. We had a long wait for any waitstaff to show up at our table. They seemed to circulate around us. When a taller, young man with curly dark hair visited a table next to ours, who came in after us, I leaned over and let him know we were ready to order. He looked at me, gave me a smirk and said, as he pointed to other tables, "I have a few other tables to take care of", and promptly walked away. I was taken aback. Hands down so worth this being one of the first meals actually at a restaurant since the dreaded "C" word. We've seen all of the reviews about masks and social distancing so I'll skip right to the experience. Ambiance is down right gorgeous. Natural stones and bright blues that one may see while traveling abroad. The menu is lite and decently approachable. We both couldn't pass up the Psomi bagel. Everything bagel, shaved red onions, sprouts, tomatoes and cucumbers. All piled high on top of one of the best bagels I've had in Tampa. I wish I could have ordered many to go but we were too late. Psomi is name that is consistently dropped when brunch is brought up in Tampa. This was my first visit and parking was unsurprisingly packed but they have valet and an overflow lot down Amelia. Pierre provided excellent and attentive service while demonstrating sufficient knowledge of the menu and restaurant as a whole. I tried the boozy frappe ($16) which was well balanced and the Montenegro foam was absolutely delicious. My entree was the Americani breakfast sandwich ($16) which had perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, melty American cheese, caramelized onions, and thick bacon slices. I asked if I could replace the bun with a house made everything bagel and they happily obliged. The eggs Benedict ($22) was perfectly cooked and served on a honey herb biscuit that was divine. Finally made it out to Psomi for brunch and it was delightful! We were seated in the back patio area, which the weather was perfect for. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails (they have an excellent Sangria), entrees (pork gyro and chicken souvlaki are a must) and the baklava-flavored latte is out of this world. read more

Today I attempted to make a reservation for my two friends and I. This was January 25 at 12 PM. There was a difference in charge between whether there are 2 or us or 3 of us. I was given a different time than the original despite calling early. Adrienne on the phone then seemed offended by my questions and kept trying to hang up on me. I used to frequent Psomi all the time, but if someone has a personal issue, taking it out on customers at work is not the solution. I will never return to the rudeness of Psomi. read more

Not sure how long Psomi has been open but it is 'newer.' WOW!!! Opens early and closes at 3 PM. This Greek restaurant has a fantastic outdoor seating area without full service (order inside) AND indoor seating with full service PLUS an additional outdoor patio for full service dining. This renovated building and outdoor area is beautifully designed. The service is authentic. They do a great job hiring people! Now for the food and drinks!!! WOW! WOW! They bake! The baked goods are incomparable to anything around (look at the photos). Met a friend for breakfast and ordered an avocado toast option and another home baked biscuit (don't judge ;) The second item was take home for lunch. Well, I couldn't quite wait till the lunch hour. Very popular spot, which means it's incredibly packed. They pack the tables very close together to try and serve as many people. Despite this small downside, the foot was incredible. Remarkably fresh. The Greek Frappe reminded me of the ones I have had in Athens and Santorini. You can Americanize them with flavors as well, if you so desire but without is the way to go as it's incredibly smooth and creamy. Cannot wait to go back here when in town again. read more

Quaint place with fresh baked goods. We came in for breakfast and tried the dip treis, the pita bread was warm and delicious, while the crudites we're fresh and crisp. We also tried a few pastries, like the spanakopita, however they were just okay. I did have the dip sandwich, which is a chicken sandwich served with a small cup of a sort of onion soup reduction to dip, this was delicious. My daughter also enjoyed the fries. The coffee's we're just okay as well, we tried a couple of cappuccinos and a latte. Our experience was diminished by a morning Florida downpour, so we had to move indoors quickly. Pamela was amazing. Went there for my mother's birthday and got a ton of help from our server who really made mom feel special. The food is always good and you can tell the difference in quality of ingredients here versus some of the other Greek places. went away from our normal appetizer and went with the saganaki. It has been about a month since my visit. I had to think about this review to decide exactly where I landed. The restaurant is beautiful. We were a group of 5 for a breakfast. It was everyone's first visit. Most of the group was happy with their choices of French toast, the Greek dip, treis pan spanakopita, and I had the bagel with cured salmon. The entire bagel including the salmon was flavorless. This was an everything bagel that could have come from publix. It was thin with a scant smear of cream cheese. If it weren't for the red onions it possibly wouldn't have had an actual flavor. Normally, I could forgive an unremarkable bagel but $23 for an unremarkable bagel required a few words.
