2nd visit was better than the 1st. It's New Years Eve and had lunch today with my 2 daughters. Worked out perfectly because I have been wanting to come for brunch and they just so happened to only have brunch menu available. Tried the Eggs Benedict which was outstanding. There was 2 poached eggs over a biscuit, one had bacon (pork belly) and the other cured salmon. You can order both the same or one of each. Came with greens on the side with a light dressing. Very refreshing. One daughter had a meatball"shareable" which I tried and was also very good. It was different in a good way because it was meatballs served with a salad. The other daughter had a lox style bagel. Atmosphere is terrific. Not sure if this is an old building or new but either way you would think you were in a Greek cafe. Beautiful place! read more

Amazing! Went here for Easter brunch and met expectations. Service was impeccable, food was perfection. The pita bread was the best I have ever eaten in my life. They accommodated my substitution without any issues. Ordered a salad and substituted gyro meat for chicken. We got a to go order for weekend brunch a few weeks ago & I want to tell you what a great experience it was! We ordered on line / liked lots of options to customize the items. Our order was correct for everything too. I had few questions, they were answered over the phone.The food was ready when they said it would be. The young lady who brought things out to my car was quick & courteous . Our food was so yummy that we ate every bite. Delicious spanakopita, sandwiches ,salads ,breads, the scrambled egg dish had lots of feta , tomatoes. Yes and yes, all the fabulous things! The decor and vibe is great. My family and I went for a quick lunch. It doesn't look kid friendly but it is, three have puzzels for the kiddos which is great. It's priced well but it's not cheap. Contrails are delicious and the food left both my husband very satisfied. The children split the French toast and loved it. This was my 2nd trip to Psomi and I am completely sold! I've done both breakfast and lunch and both are amazing. The atmosphere is really wonderful, super clean and bright - the kind of place you want to be in. The staff is so amazing, attentive and friendly. Then you've got the food itself which is excellent. All their baked goods are done in house. They have this feta pastry that is unbelievably flaky and buttery. I went with a group for lunch and was lucky enough to try several dishes al of which were a 10 out of 10 but the Greek dip in particular was one of the best things I've ever had. Go as soon as you can. When the word gets out about this place there will be a line around the block. We went to the counter early on a Sunday morning and got a box of various bagels, spanakopita coffee cake and other pastries to take home. Every bite was an experience to be savored. The decor is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and plentiful. We will stay for brunch next time. The indoor areas are beautifully decorated and there is an outdoor seating area with a fireplace. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. read more

We went to Psomi during their first weekend and it was packed. It could have been due to a spillover effect of the nearby Greek festival or maybe the word spread fast. The building is gorgeous and there are two outside patios! The bread basket was good, the French toast was great. The pork gyro, surprisingly, tasted delicious. I am not sure on the meatballs, they didn't come with any sides and had too many onion chunks for my taste (but the meat itself was tasty). We both had a savory brunch and the bread was sooooo good (it's made in house!). My oat milk cortado was delicious and my boyfriends drip coffee was smooth. But, I had a double espresso after and it was extremely bitter. I've had Bandit espresso and I love it, so I think that bitterness may have come from the machine or the pour itself. We also noticed that the alcoholic beverages were a bit pricy and small. Would love to see bottomless mimosas/bloody mary's. Anyways, still a great experience! read more

My husband and I had a 1pm reservation on a Sunday. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but it's all downhill from there. We placed our order and after ten minutes, the waitress came back to our table to advise us that none of our selections were available because the restaurant had run out of all the ingredients. She asked us to make different selections and that's what we did. After five minutes, she returns to tell that our second options were unavailable too. I then heard the waitress at the next table tell her patrons that the break baskets was unavailable too. My husband and I tried to order 7 different things - all unavailable. So we just left. Instead of handing us the menu, the waitress should have just told us what they DID have available. Super super disappointed and a waste of our time. read more

To be honest this place is a joke and cannot even deal with a upset customer. Read down one or two threads to see us get accused of dining and dashing after watching bugs infest our food. I don't know about your guys thought, but the next visit should of been on the house for this awful experience. The customer should always be treated with care and patience. Not is this case! I had a great experience at Psomi this weekend. It was my second time visiting and it did not disappoint. You can tell the wait staff is working hard and they keep everything moving. The food came out very quick and was to die for. I got the Keftede sub and the hummus appetizer. Both were insanely good and I took some home to finish only an hour later, it was that good. We sat in the front where you don't need a reservation. A table took a little bit to empty and then clear but by the time we got there and sat down it was only about 10 minutes. It's such a lovely place and atmosphere and I can't stop thinking about that food. I'll absolutely be back. read more

Perfect place to take your wife / significant other. Indoor and outdoor areas are very nice. Unexpected good cocktails and beers. The octopus is a must even though is a bit expensive. For the dips I think the eggplant is the best one and for sure you have to order bread (get the whole loaf) not worth it to order and side. I'm giving it 3 stars due to the service at the front desk during check-in. We made reservations in advance requesting outdoor sitting for 11:15am. When we arrived we were given indoor and when asked why they said because they didn't have any available. We saw a couple of tables outside and they said those were being held for a big party at 1pm!! Really???? We had reservations way in advance and they couldn't accommodate us?? We then asked about the tables in the front and they said those were first come first serve and we could sit there. We went and we sat there and it was not until after we sat there and poured our waters that they came back stating that the area had no servers and we had to go order inside. Really? Again, they could have told us that when we first asked. We had a baby in a stroller and it was just so inconvenient and not professional. At the end, we just ended up siting inside because we were already there. Overall, the food was good but the bloody mary was too runny/thin. read more

We ordered the trio dip appetizer with vegetables and pita - the vegetables were limp and dehydrated and the hummus was like a hard paste with no salt or flavor. It reheated very well, was so flavorful, and the portions were generous. The herbed honey biscuits were actually my favorite part. Myself and my family came in this morning for brunch (party of 6). We all enjoyed our food but I left a little bummed. I ordered the egg scramble and when it came out, I was confused about the $13 price point. Everyone else at the table had large plates of food and they came with sides. Even my sister who ordered a salad got a side of french fries and ended up taking half the salad home because it was so big. My meal was one piece of bread in a bowl with scrambled eggs on top of it (so the bread was wet). It was good, but for $13 I wish there had been a side of potatoes or maybe fruit. I ordered the coffee cake when we first sat down, and it was very good and so big I took more than half home. I'd go back, but I definitely would not order the scramble again. Looking around the table it seemed like I should have ordered a salad or sandwich to get my money's worth. I was very excited to try this new Greek restaurant. It's a beautiful space. We had a 15 minute wait for lunch at 1:15. When finally seated outside our waitress was very nice but we had problems ordering wine as it seemed like everything we wanted they were out of. Our waitress told us Psomi means bread. I told her I ate gluten free, she said she could accommodate me. I ordered a Burger with no bun with bacon and egg on top. I asked for the Burger to be medium and the egg to be over easy. The Burger was well done, the egg was overcooked, the French fries were overcooked and it all came with bread that I requested they hold. I ate the overcooked Burger and bacon. Did not touch the fries, egg or bread except to move it out of the way. The waitress was apologetic and said she would let the kitchen know however there was no adjustment to the bill I was charged for everything I ordered even though it was overcooked, not eaten, not good and I wasn't satisfied. The waitress did offer a little piece of baklava as compensation, which I don't eat and I gave to my friend. Not sure I would go back Psomi! read more

Really sad to say I had a terrible experience here, because I've been wanting to try it since before it opened and the place itself is stunning! The service was very disappointing. It was extremely slow and unorganized for not being very busy. Our server was switched about 3 times. We ordered mimosas and coffee once we sat down and they didn't come out until halfway through, and some even after, the meal. Not to mention after we asked at least 4 times for them. We thought the food was just average but maybe because it took forever to come out and was cold. We ordered a Bloody Mary that tasted like warm tomato juice, and had to send it back. They insisted on replacing it with a mimosa instead but never actually brought one. We would ask for something as simple as water or napkins and they never would bring it. At the end of our meal we were waiting about 20-30 min for someone to come and clean up/bring the check. Had to go to the front and ask 3 times. One of us told the a man who was walking around checking in on tables about our experience and he did nothing about it, and never came to the table to apologize. The server who finally gave us our checks got them completely wrong (because she wasn't the one originally helping us) and she also added 20% gratuity. We understand that grat is used for larger parties but we asked for it to be removed or at least decreased due to the awful experience, and our server informed us that manager said that was not possible but at least the tip was going to her and not the server that originally had our table (okay cool?). The manager/owner not once came to speak to us nor apologize either. The only thing they did do was bring us dessert, the same dessert we already had because we ordered it. It was a nice gesture but a poor apology. I've never had such horrible service in Tampa Bay before. read more
