Scallops, clams and shrimp....Burnt , dry, hard, gross! Obviously cooked in old oil. Disappointed! Nasty!

Ordered Pub 6T5. Got 4 dishes, Spent $127.00. ordered takeout . I ordered the Fisherman's platter and this is what I got. Dry, burnt, hard, cooked in old oil seafood. Obviously this place went downhill. Go somewhere else. Quality of their food clearly sucks! At least the lemon was okay!

Margarita Pizza. Flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend.

Abner and I have been a couple of times and have enjoyed it. The margarita pizza was delicious and my experiences have always been positive here. Nice little local pub. Live music. Friendly staff. My only suggestion is the bar staff needs to be more attentive. On two occasions, we had to seek out our bartender to get another round or inquire about the appetizer we had ordered.

    Fried chicken sandwhich

The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The potato bun, not my choice. The chicken juicy and the batter was crispy...however- the chicken and batter, well neither had any seasoning. It was SO BLAND. I noticed that it wasnt impressive in size, albeit it did fill me up. I have already left a review a month ago- back then, the sandwhich was HUGE (Double breast), and packed with flavor. Kinda bummed they switched it up. Fries were good. Mouse was yummy- very fudgy which i liked. I was disappointed that they left the the whip cream off. Overall, just average meal. We have so many excellent local resteraunts, so there lies a problem. Ill give one more try.

Placed an order for takeout at this restaurant hoping that my family could try out a new spot nearby our home. Looked at some of the previous reviews and had high hopes, but was disappointed with the experience. We ordered a large pizza, chicken tacos, fish tacos, and a kid's meal. We asked for the chicken tacos plain with just cheese, and with the other fixings and dressings on the side due to dietary restrictions. The order went smoothly but the food left much to be desired. I'm giving the pub 2 stars solely because the pizza was actually quite good. The fried chicken and fish was bland and dry. The chicken tacos we ordered came with flour tortillas at the bottom of a takeout box with fried chicken pieces seemingly thrown into the box at random. No cheese, no dressing on the side, and no care for presentation. Luckily, we had some cheese on hand at home and a hot oven, but we ordered takeout so we didn't have to cook... I guess that didn't go as planned.

What a great surprise!! Pub6T5 was an absolute gem in New Bedford. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcome. Owners treated us coming in and made sure we had great seats at the bar. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly with patrons watching the game. The restaurant itself is beautiful! Food was great! Beer was cold!! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. And they seemed to think of every detail, even down to the super clean bathrooms with great speaker system so you don't miss a minute of the game. We will be frequenting this new spot and hope others will too!

    How loud is it?

It's actually perfect, music is great here, not a fan of loud places but this place is open so sound is less trapped.

I was escorted to my table and was soon greeted by my waiter Ethan who brought bread and the menus. Bread was just mini white loafs, exceptional only for its absolute freshness. So many places have done away with table bread so this was very much appreciated, but it was way too much for a single diner. The mostly Portuguese menu had much to choose from. I got the Pasteis de Bacalhau appetizer (codfish cakes). The 8 small-sized cakes had a subtly crisp golden brown exterior and a filling that was light in both texture and flavor - less salt cod than in some others would be my guess. This was served with banana peppers and black olives over a bit of lettuce. I liked them but felt a sauce of some sort would have elevated them. I used Red Hot from the table. The entree section was very heavy on the meats, particularly steaks of which there were 8, sirloin, shish ka bob, filet, and t-bone, prepared in a variety of ways. I didn't want a steak and, being in a Portuguese restaurant I wanted something more obviously Portuguese. So I went to the seafood section which was also extensive and found Swordfish Alhinho Style. I asked Ethan about it who replied confidently and correctly that it was a lemony sauce made with a lot of garlic and it is served over the fish which is grilled. Which was exactly correct. He was a great waiter in all respects. The dish was the swordfish, boiled halved potatoes, and broccoli. The fish was generously covered with the lemony garlicky gravy, the garlic in large chunks making up maybe 1/2 of the volume. There was plenty enough left over for the potatoes, which I liked for being just boiled and sliced, not mashed. The only flaw was the broccoli. I'm not sure but it tasted frozen, not fresh. That's a shame because there was a lot of it but it wasn't worth eating. So both the appetizer and entree were very good, and representative of Portuguese cuisine. Not innovative or special in any way but this isn't that kind of restaurant. It's upscale but not "fine dining". You can see that in the table settings too: the napkins are white cloth but the placemats are the paper kind with advertisements on them. But it was a nice atmosphere in spite of the Keno machine and many televisions, and the noise level was moderate. The cocktails used mostly standard brands like Bacardi and Stoli, with a few unusual liqueurs added in. I had a Portuguese Cha Frio (Iced Tea) made with Stoli Citron, Licor Beirao (a Portuguese liqueur), unsweetened tea, and lemon. I liked it and it seemed strong enough. The wine list included a few Portuguese ones by the glass. I didn't think my wine very good but I wanted to stick to the Portuguese theme as much as possible. I liked that it was brought in a carafe that still had some left over after Ethan poured my first glass. The espresso was perfect. No disagreeable sour notes, just pleasantly and slightly bitter, an aroma slightly fruity. As for desserts, I don't think they are made in house, and they aren't particularly Portuguese. My cheesecake (was it Crème Brûlée flavor?) was good, with a semi-dry texture, a layer of caramel on top, and a drizzle of something underneath. So overall I was pretty satisfied with Nuno's. 4.5 stars really. To get that 5th star from me they'd only have to improve the broccoli and add ethnic desserts made in house.

When we arrived, there were a couple tables available. One of the staff members told us to pick one. Despite the place being small, they have made good use of every inch of the space. They even have counter all around the kitchen where you get from row seats to watching them cook your food. The menus are right on the table. They have a good variety of savory and sweet breakfast plates including some Portuguese inspired options. I went with the Azorean special (2 eggs any style with linguica, sweet bread French toast, home fries, and toast) with an English muffin instead of toast ($1 up charge) and my mom ordered the 2 eggs any style with bacon, wheat toast, and home fries. My sweet bread French toast came out first, followed by everything else a couple minutes later. The sweet bread French toast was good. I thought it would be overpowering but surprisingly it was about the same if not less sweet than a traditional French toast. It was very soft and airy. The Linguica was okay. The home fries were our favorite, They were crispy little squares, almost like biting into the best part of a fry over and over again. The service was excellent here. Our waitress was efficient and very kind. The prices are very reasonable. I would come back. I did not see a parking lot, but I was able to find street parking quickly.

Food and service is great! This place has been around ever since I can remember. Great breakfast!read more
