We've been on a hunt for new places to eat, and wife suggested we try this restaurant. We went there on a weekday close to 1p so the restaurant only had two tables and maybe 2 people at the bar. We were greeted right away by a man who directed us to any table in the dining area. Spacious and clean with good menu selection. I had my hopes high. Our waitress was also the bar tender was pleasant, but service was slow since it's obvious she was managing multiple things. There was another young lady at the bar and as far as I can see didn't contribute much. I think she was on her phone. Couple mistakes made on my food order. I asked for house chips and got fries with my sandwich. Wife ordered a small pizza but got a large. I wish our waitress took our order on a notepad. She relied on her memory and unfortunately for us fall short. If the food was good then this would've been ok, but sadly we didn't like the food. My sandwich was salty and lack any other flavor. Fries was salty too but I think that's coming from frozen so not faulting the kitchen for that. Wife ate two slices of pizza and brought the rest home, I didn't think she liked it much since it's still untouched and may be disposed tomorrow. The meal took close to two hours. For a place that's basically empty this is a lot of time being invested. The worst part about this experience is the aftermath. I had a stomach issue when I got home...not good. Cocktails weren't great. Pasta was overcooked and flavor was bland but edible. I've been several times and I'm never thrilled with the food. But the pizza is decent. Had a service issue in the past but they handled it and made it right. Typically service is good. The calamari was still crunchy when it got to the table, and the cherry tomatoes were a wonderful addition. The scallops were cooked so perfectly, they melted in your mouth. Abner and I have been a couple of times and have enjoyed it. The margarita pizza was delicious and my experiences have always been positive here. Nice little local pub. Live music. Friendly staff. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The potato bun, not my choice. The chicken juicy and the batter was crispy...however- the chicken and batter, well neither had any seasoning. It was SO BLAND. I noticed that it wasnt impressive in size, albeit it did fill me up. I have already left a review a month ago- back then, the sandwhich was HUGE (Double breast), and packed with flavor. Kinda bummed they switched it up. Fries were good. Mouse was yummy- very fudgy which i liked. I was disappointed that they left the the whip cream off. Overall, just average meal. So let's get a couple of things established right away... The food is great but be prepared for several dishes to be prepared with a twist (like Fatima's creamy Mozambique sauce) The clam chowder is very good, and I personally enjoy the bourbon steak tips. The fish and chips, chicken tenders, and house chips are all very good as well. I've experienced nothing but friendly, personal, attentive service. The staff is great! This place is a HUGE departure from the old 6th Bristol Club which formally resided there for far too many years. The entire place received a much needed facelift and fresh new look. The atmosphere is caught between casual and upscale casual... in other words, the place "feels" a bit more upscale than casual, but the prices do not reflect what you'd expect to pay at an upscale eatery. Prices represent a very good overall value for the quality and quantity of food, given the semi-upscale vibe. The owners have done a great job creating a blend of atmosphere and value. Two things that usually contradict one another. It's nice to have another quality dining option in New Bedford's North End. We have been coming here for years since it opened up. We loved the ori owner and the place. It has been one of our go-tos in the North End. We heard it had been sold, and wondered how the new owners would be. Tonight we went for dinner/drinks and met the new owners, the food game has always been good here, but we always wished the drinks were a bit better, higher end. We often said to each other that we wished there was a place in the North End where we could get good beer and great cocktails, nice bourbon. Well, to our delight we found all of that. The owner let me taste and recommended some bourbon, which were spectacular. My wife got an amazing old fashioned. We made friends with the couple sitting next to us, and the whole vibe in great place is spectacular. The waitstaff was attentive and efficient, the food was excellent and came in a timely manner. Placed an order for takeout at this restaurant hoping that my family could try out a new spot nearby our home. Looked at some of the previous reviews and had high hopes, but was disappointed with the experience. We ordered a large pizza, chicken tacos, fish tacos, and a kid's meal. We asked for the chicken tacos plain with just cheese, and with the other fixings and dressings on the side due to dietary restrictions. The order went smoothly but the food left much to be desired. I'm giving the pub 2 stars solely because the pizza was actually quite good. The fried chicken and fish was bland and dry. The chicken tacos we ordered came with flour tortillas at the bottom of a takeout box with fried chicken pieces seemingly thrown into the box at random. No cheese, no dressing on the side, and no care for presentation. Luckily, we had some cheese on hand at home and a hot oven, but we ordered takeout so we didn't have to cook... First visit after seeing a review on FB. Location is the old 6th Bristol Club. Has been totally done over and has a great Horshoe Bar. Good sized menu of salads, burgers, pizza and entrees. Opted for the Portuguese style steak, wife had fish and chips. Steak was a thick strip cooked medium rare with a perfect runny yolk egg on top and two hot pepper strips. Gravy was excellent. Wife liked the fish and chips with a great batter and flaky cod. Owner greets everyone as they come in. Good atmosphere here. We will be back. read more

What a great surprise!! Pub6T5 was an absolute gem in New Bedford. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcome. Owners treated us coming in and made sure we had great seats at the bar. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly with patrons watching the game. The restaurant itself is beautiful! Food was great! Beer was cold!! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. And they seemed to think of every detail, even down to the super clean bathrooms with great speaker system so you don't miss a minute of the game. I really hate writing bad reviews, but after I had to throw away almost 60$ worth of food that was inedible I'm going to. Ordered take out on a Sunday night, 2 entrees, an appetizer, and a side. The wings were the only thing we could stomach. Our entrees and side went directly into the trash, they were so bad, in fact, I couldn't even feed them to the dogs. Tried reaching out with no response. I've been here before and never had a bad meal, and everyone is allowed a bad night, but I don't think I should have to foot the bill for food that I would be embarrassed to serve to customers. read more

Then i ordered take out once ,shrimp taco and when i opened the box they were a mess and soggy. Initial thoughts : clean, modern and fun! Our waitress Sara was absolutely awesome! We went out for a ladies night and were in NO RUSH and she was so cool about it ! We ordered a few things off the "shareable" section of the menu, the nachos are unique and delicious, the buffalo chicken tenders were lightly battered and not greasy and crunchy and they were great! and also the pizza is thin crust and delicious! I had no complaints ! We had Prosecco and Sara came to the table with a bucket of Ice for the bottles SHES GOOD! even some fancier restaurants I've had to ask for the bottle on ice! It was a fun night out and the staff are welcoming and friendly the food was delicious and the music was good. The only thing I really think hurt it was the music was SO LOUD, so loud we couldn't even talk... we still were eating dinner along with other tables and you couldn't even talk to each other. The music is a turn off that loud it's not necessary in such a small place. If they lowered the music down ALLOT I bet we (and others) probably would have stayed longer ... I wanted to try dessert but we felt like at a certain point we were just looking at each other and ultimately that's what ended our night out ! But that wouldn't stop us from going back! Our food came out at different times, not like a minute apart more like 5min minutes apart. Sadly I wish I could say that was the worst part of it all, it's not. The food subpar at best. The steak and cheese egg rolls remind you of free sample day at your wholesale store (Costco, Sams Club). I won't bother mentioning the rest of unfortunate choices the management team made when deciding this menu... This review has nothing to do with the wait staff, and everything to do with the people who are responsible for back of house, and management. We did takeout here last week and it was so good we went back tonight to have there. We weren't disappointed. The place has been completely revamped from the old restaurant, really lovely, yet casual and comfortable inside. Great bar, our drink was made perfectly, and a delicious and extensive (but not overwhelming) menu. Some very interesting menu choices, fig, pear, and prosciutto pizza for instance, along with local fair like homemade quahogs, and fresh fish. Their mashed potatoes should be illegal, I could have eaten an entire plate! Everything is fresh! They even have live music some nights. If you are looking for a new place to try, head on over. The buffalo chicken is the best Around along with the bacon cheddar burger. The chocolate mouse is house made and is to die for! Very decadent and is the perfect chocolate fix! I would've given a 5 star but my meal (out of a party of 7) was the only one not enjoyed. I ordered the baked stuffed haddock which came out later than everyone else and with little flavor. The mashed potatoes were just warm and the stuffing was clearly scooped on afterwards and was probably teaspoon size...very disappointed. The paela, Portuguese steak and fish and chips were a big hit!! Nice place. Well done, comfortable decor, and much less noisy than many other restaurants even though the bar and many tables were full. Not an extensive menu, but a good one. Food and service were both good. The owner actually came over to introduce himself when we walked in and stopped to make sure everything was good before we left. A little slow waiting for the check and to pay, but everything else more than made up for that. Nice to have a new restaurant choice in the north end of New Bedford. Definitely worth a try. I was impressed by the appearance of the inside of the restaurant. In short, our appetizer (potato skins) was a little slow to arrive. When it did arrive, it was a little on the smallish side, but it was hot. About 3 minutes later, begore anyone had finushed their appetizer, 2 of the 3 dinners were served. I ordered a plain bacon cheddar burger, and it came with lettuce and tomato on it, which was not what I specified. Also, much to my disappointment, instead of a slice of cheddar cheese on the burger, it had kind of a thin, runny cheddar cheese sauce. Again, not what I intended to order. Also, very messy to pick up and eat. I admittedly am a very picky eater, however I did not enjoy the burger, and left half of it uneaten. The fries were pretty good. The 3rd dinner arrived about 2 minutes after the first 2. The 2nd dinner was listed on the menu as bourbon steak tips. However, the young lady who ordered it did not enjoy it very much. She stated that although the tips were tender, they did not have much flavor to them, and didn't taste like bourbon at all to her. This from a definite not picky eater. On the 3rd dinner, chicken parmesan, the lady who ordered it, again, not a picky eater, did not really enjoy it, and took half of it, uneaten, home. She plans to dispose of the other half, rather than consume it. After dinner my lady guest wanted to order dessert, but our waiter just brought the check after she cleaned the table off. She never asked if anyone wanted anything else. In fact, I am going back to the restaurant tonight to get her dessert for her on a takeout basis. Last night was her birthday dinner, and it was a bust. I am sorry to be so tough, but for $68, plus a $10 tip, no one enjoyed their meal. Fantastic - Fun - First Class Pub. My wife and I were recently in New Bedford and asked some locals for a good recommendation and Wow this was it. What a great place. The decor is very stylish and welcoming with a great bar area as you would expect. The menu offers a wide variety of creative selections. We had trouble making up our minds and I'm sure they could tell we were from out of town by the way we looked at the food being served to those around us in an effort to help us narrow down our choice. The entire staff seemed well trained as our service was always very prompt and friendly. I will be going through the New England area again on business and have this bookmarked as a place I will be visiting again. read more
