They will lure you in with an excellent price, and will start raising it immediately and aggressively. They will do it even while advertising much lower rates for the same sized space. Once they jack the prices, the value is poor. Especially considering that all your belongings will be soiled by rodent feces, or eaten by other people's moths. My happiest day of 2022 was the day I moved my things out of here for good. 2 stars rather than 1, because I understand most of the competition is terrible also. When I went to pay the bill for December 2023, I noticed the bill was more than usual. This facility added a late fee from another account to this account. EVERY time I call headquarters to make a complaint, I get nothing but a recording redirecting me elsewhere. I did pay the $342.00 but the $75 is still on my bill. By the time January 2024 arrive, this facility will be expecting me to pay the $75 plus another late fee. read more

The customer service is HORRIBLE! The "manager" does not return calls and the staff act like they don't know anything other than how to collect money. They make changes to your account, mess up and then find a way to avoid responsibility. They discuss people's personal account information in front of other customers, anything you ask they have no answers except call the manager. Very unprofessional! I've never used storage before, but despite having two different kind of locks on my unit, a $700 item was stolen. Make sure you don't get the upper units if you have any knee or bad injury or Disabilities other than that it's very for the price and very secure also clean I would recommend it but make sure you call before you buy because for some reason no one explains where your unit is also this couldn't happen because paid online without having to see anyone in person so if you in need of the ladder they have remembered to ask over the phone or go in there nice and polite there is also a security gate to get in access codes to all doors which was a very good thing I also like the fact my first month was only 1 dollar hard times so that was a positive for me all and all it's a nice Storage I would recommend read more

This location customer service SUCKS. I get to this location before the employees and watched them service everyone before me. All they kept telling me was "one minute" four times. I asked if they can open the gate for the loading area, and the lady told me it was open.. so I go to the loading area and it was still closed.. gate down and all. At this point my mother already made several calls to inform them that the gate was still down. They literally took 30-40 minutes for them to open the gate. The worse experience ever! read more

I opened service with them back in 2017. Almost every 6-8 months these crooks raise my rental fees. In addition to that the elevator to my side of the building was broken for almost a whole year. Anytime that I had to remove items from my unit. I would have to lug everything to the elevator on the other side of the property. Finally my unit has reached a price upon which I am unable to budget for I called to ask for a reduction of price and these guys told me "No". I had been paying on time religiously for 3 years and you guys can't help your customers. Now my unit is close to $300.00 because I'm 8 days late the first time ever. And to add insult to injury some of the employees on this site "not all", are childish and unprofessional. Heed my warning and don't use this company. read more

Horrible horrible experience!!!! DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS!!!! Initially I received a unit that has two entrances and no one that worked here noticed so there was another lock I had to purchase and had I not noticed there would be access to my unit without my knowledge. My belongings were stolen!! When I spoke to the manager she was extremely rude defensive and completely unprofessional. She attempted to lie and tell me I no longer had insurance and I actually had documentation to prove otherwise. When I called to file an insurance claim the office was "closed" in the middle of a business morning. I left a message no one called back. I called the district manager as well and he was unprofessional rude and didn't attempt to apologize or address my concern. He literally said "why are you speaking you haven't paid your recent bill". I didn't pay because when I went to my unit over $4,000 in my belongings were stolen. So far this has been the most unprofessional and shady business I've ever dealt with. Moving is frikkin' stressful! I walked in to this location and I was already irritated, but Tracie and Keyanna were so cool man. They were calm and explained everything clearly with out being condescending. I was so appreciative. My girlfriend Ashly and I still talk about it. So here's my shout out! Impeccable service. Also.. as far as the facilities are concerned, we got an adequate space for the belongs, there was no occurrence of mold or bugs, and we were provided with the dollies that we needed to move things in and out of the location. I Was considering renting a storage room with another company, however while driving by public storage rockaway location I decided to check their rates. I was assisted by an associated by the name of Kiyah. She was very helpful explaining the rates, the sizes of the rooms, promotions, and available insurance. She also took me on a mini tour to view some of the units outside, which was nice. The place was very well kept, and much better then the other storage facility I was considering. Kiyah assured me the move in would be easy, and if I choose to I can select automatic billing to avoid coming in to pay the monthly bill. I appreciate her professionalism, and kindness, you don't see it as often as you should.
