We were told this location was climate-controlled, but it's not. The first day was horrible. After a 12-hour out-of-state drive and under a time crunch since they close at 9 PM, we were delayed an hour because we weren't given the access code to the second floor and couldn't reach anyone by phone. Thankfully, another customer came by and helped us. The second floor is hot and has no ventilation. On top of that, we realized we were assigned the unit at the very end--so make sure to confirm which unit you're getting, because there is only ONE access door. So imagine having to walk and push your cart from one end to the other multiple times. They're quick to call and answer when it's bill-related, though. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My family had several units there, since before it was Public Storage, and we had no problems. As soon as PS bought the facility, we had nothing BUT problems. Our units were robbed continuously, and management (on-site and district), refused to help. When they would find our u it's "unsecure," not only would they NOT contact us immediately, but they put on THEIR locks, and refused to remove them, when we had new locks in hand. This gave them ample opportunity to continue to rob our units. The other complaint is the constant raising of the rent, with absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION, to do so, (no upstairs ventilation, stairwells filled with spider webs and dust), except to price the unit's out beyond affordability, so they could "auction" whatever items remained. The auction house they used to finally empty my family's units were rigged so that the storage personnel would gladly pilfering through whatever was left, before selling it for ridiculous fees, and then having the audacity to try to charge US, for the cleaning g fees, when it's the responsibility of the auction 'winner.' DO NOT rent here. There are better storage places to rent from in the area, that are also more secure, and have more restrictive access to not only the gate, but the upstairs indoor u it's, as well. read more

I have used this Public Storage for the last 6 years. I moved to another State and relied upon their "security" to keep my belongings safe but like so many others, I too was robbed. When the robbery was discovered, the employees that I spoke with at the beginning acted like this was not anything new at all and expressed no sympathy or regret at this happening EXCEPT for Adrien. Adrien demonstrated his concern for me as a client, offered to help in any way and was excellent in his customer service. If I didn't deal with him, by all means, this place would get a 1- star review but because of him, I place a rating with 3 stars and I would give Adrien 5 stars on his work ethic and performance and handling of the situation with me. Other than that, I will say it is your typical storage site. Do expect your monthly charges to increase every year (I started out paying $88 (2019) a month and my last bill was up to $261 (2024)) for a 10x10 space. Easy website and app to use so that is a positive. The facility is located in a nice area and what is supposed to be a safe area but since these robberies seem to be ocurring on a regular basis, perhaps a better investment in security is needed. read more

We have had our unit at this public storage site for about 2 1/2 years. We have never had any incidents or issues. Today (4/4/23) we went to our unit and found a new lock, a tag, and some damage to the bottom of our unit door. We were able to slide our phone through and our entire unit is empty. We made a police report with the sheriffs department. They mentioned that this location makes it pretty hard to share video surveillance. We thought perhaps, Public Storage mistook our unit for another and possibly emptied it out, however you can see through the bottom of the flimsy door that our old lock was cut, broken, and left inside the unit. The main door to access the storages has a keypad lock. Upon arrival you can open the door without entering the key code. Just really disappointed as we spend almost 220 dollars a month and this happened. It felt kind of weird that we ended up getting an email from Public Storage asking us to secure our unit. So I am not sure if someone lives on site and heard/viewed what we found but regardless their was a lock on the door, albeit not ours. Hopefully, we can get this resolved with management on 4/5/23. read more

This place gets robbed 3-4 times each month. I swear. Jim (the old guy) that works there is terrible & has no skills in customer service. I got robbed for 50k+ from this place within 2 weeks and on that same day, Jim had the audacity to look at me in the eye and charged me 20$ for a lock while yelling at me that PS is not responsible and he is not the one whom stole from me. Nobody understood or seemed to care about my stress and loss. I FINALLY got a hold of DENNIS (THE DISTRICT MANAGER) and even she, made this about herself and told me that my tone was aggressive & that she felt uncomfortable. The storage units upstairs (inside) are not safe. The neighboring units next to you, can see everything inside your unit if they stick their head inside urs from the top wall(no screen). Police officers that are investigating my case, have suspicion that it could be someone inside. Definitely enough merrit to sue this company for negligence. read more

Do NOT rent at this facility. It is NOT clean, the inside units have ZERO ventilation, (the vents have been closed from the roof), the floors are filthy, the employees that work onsite are rude, apathetic, and ALWAYS want to know what you store in your unit, if they're doing their gratuitous "checks." They also leave the access doors open to "vent" the upstairs. Which leads me to........ I was recently robbed, and the onsite "management" refused to answer their door, when I went to confront them. They conveniently left, when rhe police showed up, to take a report, also. The rates are xonstantly being increased, and they cannot jusrify it. The roberry on MY unit was the first one, yet my other units were robbed twice, and they just shrug and say, "oh well, maybe you should secure your belongings better." This is a very average self storage place. Its a clean and welI maintained facility. I rate them below average because of their office unavailability and rental polices. The office is frequently locked, with no sign, during posted office hours. This means you have NO ACCESS TO CARTS OR THE RESTROOM. This is particularly frustrating for a senior. Furthermore, this is one industry that penalizes you for loyalty and longevity, the longer you stay, the more they charge you. They reward new customers and penalize old ones, just like the cable company! P.S. I returned 2 days later, again during posted office hours. PSA: DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE THEY WILL BURGLARIZE YOU. I've been using this storage unit for several months now and should have seen the red flags along the way. Long story short we were robbed of over $3000 worth of personal property and collectibles at no fault of our own (everything was locked and secured the last time we were there) due to a targeted burglary of SEVERAL storage units all containing high value collectibles and personal effects. Assuming this burglary was not an inside racket and besides a general lack of empathy, they neglected to check cameras and units frequently enough to deter burglaries of their property resulting in the loss of at least tens of thousands of dollars of property for their customers. In addition, the facility promotes positive review bombing their Google Maps review metric to artificially pump up traffic to their store, which is highly suspicious at best We can't even begin to start thinking of how to get the irreplaceable items we lost back and we are just so devastated by this whole experience. read more

When I moved out, Extra Space Storage gave me a pro-rated refund for 2/3 of the months that wasn't used. Public Storage did not. They did not provide a refund for the days not used and immediately rented out my unit to someone else. Making money twice on the same unit. In short, if you're looking for storage space, make sure you get one with a pro-rated refund on days not used. Public Storage is definitely NOT one of them. read more

Recently checked out from this place on 21035 E.Washington Ave. Diamond Bar because there is not enough security. Only 1 camera on the wall outside storage and not enough lighting so they can't see anything on the camera at night time. Somebody broke into my trailer recently however that they can't see anything. I decided to move out of this place. They increase monthly rent quite a lot in the last few years. It started $48 and $98 now. Typical storage place. read more

I rented a storage space to store my furniture and other belongings while my house is going through renovations, so I chose this location based on convenience and proximity. It's also located close to the 60 fwy yet kind of hidden in a quiet area that is part commercial and residential. So I personally thought this was safer than storage units visible right off a fwy or main road. The staff is also very helpful and friendly and will provide you with recommendations if you're not sure what size unit you need. My only compliant was that I scheduled a specific date and time to sign my paperwork and when I arrived at the office it was locked and the parking lot was completely empty so the office looked closed. However the hours posted indicated it should be opened and I even received a reminder call the day before about my appointment. Yet upon arriving at my appointment time no one was there and no signs posted on the door of when and if someone would be back. I waited about 15 minutes, left a voice message, slipped a note through the mail slot and left. Someone called me back later and I returned to the office to sign the document. Thankfully I decided to do the paperwork the day before my movers were scheduled to come otherwise I would be losing money as well as I waited for someone to return to the office. The next day the movers drove our belongings to the storage unit, but again no one was in the office during business hours. No big deal since we were already assigned our pass codes and storage unit. We only needed the lock we purchased, so we waited for someone to return to the office while the movers started loading items into the storage unit. A slight snafu with my appointment, but overall I'm happy with the location, condition of the facility, ease of the process overall, and the helpfulness of the staff. read more

On my first visit, the manager Candice promptly showed me available units, explained the basics of renting a unit and patiently answered my questions. On my second visit after deciding to rent, the manager Regina cheerfully processed the rental agreement in a reasonable amount of time and reviewed with me the rules and operations of the facility. Should have read the other 1 star reviews before renting at this place. First of all, the customer service is horrible. The so called "Manager" at the front desk is never there. I booked it online and i was asked to go in. Went in during business hour and the manager is not even there. Second, when we sign the contact, the manager actually tells us to buy stuffs to boost her sales. Is that how you run your business, Public storage? "Can you buy some supplies for me? Do you need any tape? Boxes?". I kindly declined because we rent this as a temporary storage for our excessive warehouse overstock items. We wouldn't be buying overpriced cheap material supplies from PS. The manager seemed mad and did not want to talk to us anymore afterward. After a while when she finished typing up the contract, she asked us again saying, "Can you please buy some supplies? It will help me a lot" I was annoyed and said no. She was consistent and kept asking "Please just anything is fine. Something $5 is ok." Again, i said No. She then said, "Ok, can I just buy something and I'll pay cash?" I didn't want her to keep asking me anymore, so I just said fine. Ended up buying something she paid. But it was super annoying. During the end of our lease, we cleared up our storage but didn't take the lock out. I left a note outside of her office saying we need to cancel because, again, she is never there. Irresponsible. Her excuse was "I have to go help customer". That's funny because I drove around few times and none of the storage was open nor was there any customers. The manager's car wasn't even there. So much for "out there helping customer". It was on the 4th day into the new month before realizing that we didn't take the lock out so we took it out on the 4th. Manager has the face to call me on the 5th to tell me that I have to be pay for the extra 5 days of lease. Hello? I left a note because 1, you are NEVER at your f**** office. I see you always goes out around 3pm to pick up your f**** kids. That's how you do your job? Ok whatever. I said fine, I'll pay but up until the 4th because thats when we took out the lock. She said no I have to pay up to the 5th because she wasn't noticed. HOLY @*(#&*(@&# are you kidding me. tl;dr version: Manager at the front is trash. Service is trash. Up sell you. Yep 1.00 first month. Then after a year of fixed rent they raise your storage rent by 20.00 aq year. we were close to paying 100.00 for a 10x10. Shoot formonths rent and i can buy my own storage shed brand new from home depot. This place is very expensive for an up stairs unit. Shoot how much are the down stairs units? 200.00? well any way we moved out and now they have the gull to ask for rent for the couple of days into the new month.
