Beware- what you sign up for online is not what you are going to get when you arrive, especially if you want to downsize or get an additional unit. The manager Chris made my experience a one star and he wasn't even the one helping me - he was micromanaging the sweet and professional young man who I was talking to. I found it completely annoying that every question I asked the guy who was helping me , Chris would jump in with his two cents, which seemed to always involve charging me more. He tried to charge me a higher rate than I was quoted online, which I fought him on and got it. However, I was unable to get my first months rent for the unit for a dollar. If you plan on going into this location, stay away from Chris if you can because he will try to screw you every way he can. read more

Cheap, dry, clean, secure, and easy access. What more does one need when it comes to a storage unit? There's several convenient carts to move your stuff around with and the place is nice and bright, unlike some storage places I've been too that feel like dungeons! The customer service is sorta grumpy but I don't usually need to converse with them that often, so no biggie. read more

Running around town trying to find the perfect box for my gender reveal (currently expecting), we decided to stop by public storage and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed and were assisted by a gentlemen named Rodney. Unhappy with Public Storage. After making a reservation at the Bothell location, I arrived to find a unit with a water leak from recent heavy rains. Obviously I didn't want that unit as I was storing antiques. After 2 more locations, I finally found a unit at the Kirkland location. They focus on operational efficiency and covering their interests, but the customer experience if very lacking. You have to buy mandatory insurance and they'll try to sell you lots of extras. And be aware that you sign away your legal rights on their paperwork. The final straw was that I called because they made an error on the paperwork regarding my email address. Called the location and they refused to fix it over the phone. Said I had to drive to the location personally. They treated me like I was over a barrel and it has left a very unsatisfied taste in my mouth. read more

I came in Oct. 30th. Best customer service ever. Brandon was great, fast paper work, showed me the unit to make sure I liked the size, and everything was quick in and out in no time. Great service. The manager Rodney and associate Robbie were extremely helpful and made the process of getting my storage unit quick and easy. I only wish that the units had lights in them and were either fully enclosed (there are small openings surrounding the top of the unit) or heated. read more

Rodney was wonderful to work with, knowledgeable and personable. We especially appreciated the fact that when he gathered an idea of what we were planning to bring in, he suggested a smaller unit than we had estimated. He didn't try to oversell anything. Almost everything in my unit was stolen on July 29th. The door was ripped open, the ceiling wire was cut. it must have taken 4 hours to remove my belongings. There was no security video. I was told the unit would be repaired. I came in on the 8th of august and nothing was done. I was told the work order to repair it was created on august 4th. Keep in mind I STILL have some belongings in the unit. I came in a week later and nothing had been done. They asked if I wanted to move to a new unit but I guess they don't understand that the door is damaged and it can't be opened. maybe I should move my belongings out through hole in the ceiling like the thieves did. It is now 8/22 and nothing has been done. I have received no contact from anyone at public storage. I have sent email and left a message with the district manager. No contact whatsoever. I even email corporate and no response. So basically they don't care, have no security and there is no customer service. read more

I've used the Public Storage location in Kirkland for 3 years and have been impressed with their customer service from the beginning. Have had only friendly, helpful and informed employees providing top service on what is otherwise a hassle in shuffling personal stuff around. I showed up to this Public Storage location 20 minutes before it closed, in desperate need of a unit, as my movers showed up with a semi that wouldn't fit at the other unit I reserved. Rodney was willing to do whatever it took to make it happen, including staying late, moving things around so I could get an external entry unit, and ensuring that the gates would work for the movers in case it took longer than expected. It made a stressful situation that much easier. I didn't expect to be so impressed by a storage facility's customer service, but between Rodney at this location and another manager at the previous location, I would fully recommend Public Storage. read more

Rebecca, the manager, was very helpful in finding us a boat parking spot. The facility is easy to get in and out, and the staff are always around to help. Rebecca even helped us after hours when we had trouble opening the gate. We would recommend this facility to anyone needing storage. read more

I reserved a storage unit online as the price was a bit cheaper. Within 10 minutes I got a phone call from them asking how they could help me get started moving in. I decided to go over to the facility and Brandon helped me tremendously. He talked me through the different size units, asked questions about our move and then showed me a unit. I decided to sign up for the unit and then Brandon walked me through the process. He suggested some box deals and that was helpful. We have started moving stuff to the unit and will be doing more over the next month. Brandon has called once more to see if the unit was the right size and if there was anything else he could do. I'm new to the area. Needed to store my boat and some other recreational equipment. I found pretty quickly that storage space was in short supply. I was sweating -- then Tim came through for me. He worked his magic in the background. After the initial response of "no room at the Inn" it was only a couple of days till I got a call back. Tim had been watching the system for me -- keeping an eye on who was moving out. He found exactly the space I needed. Way to go Tim!!! You are a life saver.
