I'm moving out today. I've had this locker since spring of 2016. Not yet in the unit for 24 months and they've had the cheek to raise my Rent twice. This facility is basically a recreational facility during the day for the homeless. I've nothing against homeless people, but when I'm paying $155 a month for what is supposed to be a secured, safe, clean locker I take issue with the management. Namely an OC based district manager named Mitch Meisner. When I asked him to prorate my rent for the remaining month he refused. Told me that he offered "superior first class facility" and that "Long Beach has a homeless problem". I reminded him that OC also has a homeless "problem" as well and that he was insulting Long Beach, therefore insulting me. Prior to making the decision to move, I had left messages for him in the past to complain about security and he never called me back. If you value your security DON'T RENT here. read more

This company should be reported to the better business bureau. I reserved a unit for an advertised price on line. Received 2 calls to confirm that I would be in to make the payment and upon my arrival at the scheduled time the unit was not available. The size they had was half the size I reserved and at double the advertised price. This company is a sham and I would not recommend to anyone. read more

If you always want to feel like the franchise owner if this place wants you out - rent Here. I have been with a couple of different locations and this place is unbelievable. The units, yes, 2 were both dirty on check in day, not much you can do when the moving van is already there. Rats have destroyed property, they have horrible hours, (close at 5 or 6 pm). Last but not least, they will raise your rent every time they get a chance. The 2 units we have, have multiple price changes in under a year. read more

I'm currently trying to move out of public storage. The light fixture is not turning on inside. I asked for it to be serviced but Kimberly refuses to help me & refuses to call me back. I asked if there was any way to get "light" in my unit...she said no. She had the nerve to tell me "make sure to clean out the unit". My unit faces a dark hallway, its 10x15 & pitch black. I have called Mitch her supervisor (who has helped me in the past) but he won't return my calls either. This has been since last Friday that I have asked for help. I am beyond angry and upset. I need a resolution, but I'm only being ignored. I feel like they would rather you lose your storage for their benefit. read more

This place routinely raises the cost of rent without rationale on an inconsistent time frame. They had to change their hours because of the number of indigent individuals who live from the storage units. You can't get through the gate before 9:30 am and it closes much earlier than before. read more

That should actually be half a star. Today we received the worst service from a manager Liz whom was both rude, with unexceptible communication and down right lack of knowledge on procedures. We have an account and though I'm not the primary and my daughter is, when we went to acces to storage and she did not have her ID with her physically Liz would not except mine say although I am on the account and do pay the bill that I was not excepted. My daughter is a SAG actor and the daughter of Kellen Winslow Sr. With all that and after being in there for over 20 minutes while she made phone calls to other persons for authorization?????? Not to mention in their files was a letter written back in April from my daughter per the manger from the month of April stating that she gave me permission to not only be on the account but to have access to the account. Yes of course Liz argues with us that although she sees that documentation was filed she wouldn't have excepted it back then and that she still won't give us access. Now I'm pissed, my daughter says to her that she has a photo on her phone of her ID and that rude Liz says oh that will work ...why didnt you say you had that... that counts as a photo ID????? One no it is not a photo ID and two Hellooo why didn't you say to her "if you have anything that shows your ID that would be good." I never want to Deal with her and her ego driven manager "skills" again. This place is going to loose money with her as a manager. Don't go there please find another storage place with better customer service especially during Covid when folks are on edge. read more

Would never rent here again. You think the one down on LB Blvd is bad? This one tops the cake. some of the worst customer service in life. Went to my storage numerous times to discover I had been overlooked. Of course since I work and the office wasn't open, I was locked out on multiple occasions. Many burglaries in this place. Staff is so rude I think they did it. Place is dirty. The guy would sweep the dust into piles. Instead of picking up uthe pile with a dust pan like anyone with a decent upbringing will do, he would leave it at doorways so the dust could blow all over the place when the wind picked up. I wish I was making this stuff up. But it is true. I actually took video of it one day. What topped the cake was when I went over the manager Kimberly 's head and spoke with the supervisor Mitch. Mitch told me that I should get my sh*t and get out. I am not joking. No cussing was done on my end and that was totally out of line. I am still exploring my legal options. place is very clean. im a senior citizen and I have never had any problems there. but I just cant afford the price there. and i hate that it closes at 6. earlier - 5 on weekends does not fit my lifestyle. homeless people kinda live out of there - no problems yet definitely have a rodent problem never experienced that at any other storage units. Rats everyplace you look rats. All my personnel belongings had to be trashed. I have pd 105.00 a month for 5 years to end up with nothing. I have been using Public Storage for over 15 years from Chicago to California. Sorry to say but the buck stops here. I will never use another Public Storage anywhere. My experience was so horrible, I need to express it to any and everyone looking for storage space. I rented the space October 31, 2014 and I went back into the space on November 26th, 2014 to find to my dismay rat feces all over my personal things. After screaming and running, I went to the office and spoke with Kimberly, who called Mitch Meissner, the property manager at the Atlantic and Willow Public Storage. He told me that he would get an exterminator and have this taken care of. I trusted him, and told him I will be back. I returned on the 3rd of December 2014, and nothing had been done. Still, the facility has no exterminator and the mice are out of control. The employee called Mitch again and he was very hostile towards me. I wanted to have a meeting with him but he refused and told me it would be better if I vacate the space and he would refund all money paid to them for the month of December. The problem that I'm having first of all is bad management, bad public relations, and rat infested units. I thought he would take care of the problem immediately but I was told that the problem has been persistent since they have taken ownership of that Public Storage. He would rather I move out and refund my money, than to fix the problem. While I was there talking with him over the phone, two customers were there renting a space. After I got off the phone with him, they asked if I was having a mice problem, and I said yes. They said immediately that they changed their minds, and both clients left. I urge everyone seeking storage, do not rent from this facility. I also plan to make a claim for the damages of my contents of my unit space with the insurance. Good luck to anybody renting storage units. I rate this place a zero. read more
