My locked jewelry box was torn open and some rings, necklaces and an emerald tennis bracelet that I inherited from my great aunt were stolen from it. The only people who had access to my unit were those who looked through it before it was supposed to go to auction. Luckily I was able to pay before that happened. But when I opened the unit to clear it out my jewelry box was sitting in the front with a big tear in it where the lock was broken. I opened it to find the top of it completely empty. Before I finished clearing out my storage unit I reported this to a woman named Jade at the front desk. I brought the jewelry box to show her how it had been torn open and stuff was missing. She said yeah they're not supposed to tear open stuff to go through it or take stuff out. She said she'd notate it and a manger would contact me on Monday since I was moving out on a Saturday. No one contacted me on Monday and I called the next day and spoke to a woman at the front desk who said nothing had been notated about it in my account. I tried to ask if she could notate it in my account again because I'd like a formal complaint on record with their company. But she talked over me and denied that it was even possible that someone could've torn it open or taken anything. She said that she'd have a manager contact me but I'll probably get ignored again. I'm going to be sharing the photos of the jewelry box with the corporate office and filing a police report with the LAPD. read more

Just moved into this location from my last location. The move in was easy and smooth! Delores and the ladies at the front desk were kind, wonderful and very helpful. Every time I need help at the door, they were there to help me out. I like the fact that you have to return the carts, that way you know they will always be there. Also, the extended hours is great! This is my first experience getting a storage unit and it's been great!! The facility is clean and well-kept and the temperature is slightly cold, even when it's hot outside, so it's perfect for storing things. The staff are very kind and helpful and they even offered us advice on how to take advantage of current deals (like $1 for the first month). We spoke with Christa on one day and Joanna on the other. Both workers were extremely helpful and friendly. I feel confident storing my belongings here! Also, one lock is included in the price of the unit and you can buy additional locks in the office so it's very convenient. 10/10 would recommend! read more

PSA: DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO BE STOLEN, RANSACKED, AND VANDALIZED! MY UNIT AS WELL AS AT LEAST 50 OTHERS HAVE BEEN BURGLARIZED THIS WEEK! Public Storage has done NOTHING to assist in the remediation of lost assets, damages, or notification to other clients. They do not give a shit, and have taken ZERO action to make the facility more secure. Sunday night (5/5/19), I visited the facility and found my 10x10 unit completely ransacked. Boxes were viciously ripped open and my personal affects were strewn all over the place and broken. The police arrived as the facility was closing (because this isn't a 24/7 access facility- eye roll) They called Public Storage headquarters to open the facility so they could complete a police report, and the police were told to come back during regular business hours. HELLO?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! This business has one job- to protect and secure the belongings of the people who pay steep monthly payments for these lockers. The police were standing outside to follow-up on a burglary (one of many in this facility during the past week) and corporate just turned them away. I was shocked by the complete disregard for a customer, as well as the law! As it turns out, facility workers were aware that many units had been burglarized/vandalized due to visible damage, yet they never bothered to reach out to the clients occupying those very units. The access code door that leads directly to the storage floor has also been broken in a way where it will not lock, so essentially anyone can come and go as they please without a code. When I brought this defect to the attention of the facility staff they said they had known for weeks. THEY HAVE NEGLECTED TO TAKE PROPER SECURITY MEASURES AND HAVE FAILED TO FOLLOW-UP WITH THE COMMUNITY DEVASTATED BY THE AFFECTS OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE! If your storage locker was broken into wouldn't you want to know? Wouldn't you want the company you pay each month to protect it to have your back? Wouldn't you want them to ensure the safety of your belongings with even the most basic coverage like A DOOR WITH A WORKING LOCK?! I have never felt more violated or neglected by a company. Public storage is a multimillion dollar company and they can't afford to replace a locking mechanism? They can't afford to have cameras covering ALL entrances/exits? They can't afford the human decency to follow-up on any of the people affected by multiple burglaries? Public Storage doesn't stand by its customers and they have no commitment to safety. This place is an absolute scam. Their contract states that they can increase your monthly rate by however much they want and at any time. They claim to mail these rent increase notices to you. You cannot find them anywhere in your account if you don't get them via mail. The only way you can request copies is to go to the location in person. They've increased my rent by over +100% in two years. The increases started at +8% and then jumped up to +30%! How that is legal is beyond me. Stay far away from this place. read more

Absolutely terrible!!!!!!!! Do not use this location! There is NEVER anyone in the office and they keep the carts locked up. There have been many times I have driven 45 mins to get there only to have to turn around and leave because no one was in the office to help me. There is no way to call anyone directly, just robots passing you around until you give up. I plan on getting out of there ASAP but while I'm typing this I'm standing outside of a locked office with no one inside!!!!!! read more

I have nothing bad to say! I never looked to access my unit aside from move in and move out, so I cannot speak to that range of accessibility, but my two experiences were pleasant. Move in, the employee was extremely helpful and patient. Move out, the employee got off a call briefly to speak with me. Not having been through moveout, it was slightly concerning that she would inspect the unit without me at moveout (as she wanted to finish her phone call). Nevertheless, my moveout receipt was clear. As for security levels, there is passcode prohibited lock at all possible doors and elevators, so I felt the premise had a solid level of lock down! read more

Clean facilities, their online eRental agreement was so easy to use, and the property managers that were on-site were extremely helpful and courteous. They answered all my questions as this was my first time using a storage facility. I had to move my college-student daughter out of her studio for a bit while she comes home to have surgery. Would give 0 stars if I could. For the second time this week I'm here with a truck full of my stuff, only to have my "access denied" - this is AFTER I was assured the issue wouldn't happen again. I'm LIVID rn as I will for the THIRD TIME have to pay movers and rent a truck - I mean, this is ridiculous. There's also a ton of homeless people living here who will scare the shit out of you when they pop up like zombies in the dark hallways....Apparently they pass around and use the same code. Ok so four other people( all homeless walking up from the street) just showed up and got denied as well. One of them just said the place was robbed recently- which is information that needs to be SHARED WITH THE CUSTOMERS WTH. Additionally, there are no carts to use except during basic daytime hours( hv to leave an ID), and every time you go in and out, on and off elevator- you have to punch in a lengthy code- A real pain in the ass when trying to move efficiently. I do NOT recommend this storage unit. We are very disappointed in this establishment. After being there for just 5 months, we received a notification that the cost of our unit is automatically increasing by over $100 ($119 to be exact)! Please note that the cost of our unit is $299, so this is almost 50% the cost of our current unit!!! That sort of rate hike in such a short time is completely unacceptable and unfair, especially to people who have to hire movers to move to another storage facility. The sad part is that we had recommended this storage facility to many of our friends who were planning on renting units there in the coming months, as the staff is super nice and helpful, but after hearing about our insane rate hike I am sure they will all go elsewhere. read more
