Public Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Not sure what changed but this location was helpful in the past but now they won't help with any issues for online auctions. The other Public Storages in the area (Apopka, Altamonte Springs, Daven Port, Kissimmee) have worked with me with no issues at all. Only 2 stars as they did help in the past but something must have changed for this district/location. The other in the area have been wonderful to work with. read more

Place let's you rent out units that are faulty . The front desk employee told Me initially that the unit's previous renter had issues with water leakage coming from the roof and she assured me it was fixed . I went ahead and rented o it the unit for two years , I went to the unit since I'm ready to move all my things out and all my stuff had water damage due too so much water leakage coming from the roof . They raise the prices so much and I've had my things there for two years for them to tell me pretty much that it's my problem since I had no Insurance . And all they can do is put a work order to fix the roof with no care in the world . It's defeating , they don't care don't rent a unit from here . read more

I have had the unfortunate experience of requiring the need for storage due to my military career, and I can honestly say that this storage facility has been nothing short of spectacular. It's the only location I've ever used that is managed by someone who is competent. Not to mention I always receive a call back after leaving a detailed message. read more

It's was an easy process, I went online and booked an unit off their website. it was easy to find my storage unit, and it came with a lock , so I didn't have to buy one in addition. I got sent my acce code straight to my phone, and also I've enabled Bluetooth so I can grant access to the gate straig through my phone. read more

I recently checked out prices on their website and saw that the exact same type and size of unit that I was renting was now leasing for $20 less per month. I inquired about it asking if I could switch to that unit because it's the same thing but cheaper, and they said yes but I would have to pay another administration fee. I then asked if I could just stay in the unit I was already at and pay the lower price because it's literally in the same building and everything is the same. They said no I'd have to switch. I didn't quite understand why that is but I went with it. The new unit was literally the unit beside the one I was already in. So they made me move all my stuff two feet over so that I can get $20 less per month. I'll take it but I don't understand why they make it so difficult. read more

The people in the service area were really nice and through when checking out the rental truck.

This location is very clean and well maintained. The manager there, Erick, is so very courteous, attentive, professional and thorough. A lot of times you go to facilities as these where the staff and property are either poorly kept and/or very uncaring, as well as unsafe. This location gives me peace of mind that they care and they take pride in what they do; the property upkeep speaks for itself. Some of the WORST customer service I have ever had!! I made an online reservation about a week or so in advance for my storage unit. I made it for two days before I needed to move out of my apartment to ensure that I had an adequate amount of time to move everything in and such. I received multiple phone calls looking to confirm my reservation, however every time they called I was at work. I got two phone calls in one day from two different people. One person said that my reservation was for the 20th and that they were sorry they missed me. Meanwhile, I had actually reserved it for the 29th and had the confirmation email. The other person was calling to confirm my reservation for the 29th. So I was completely confused as to what was going on and was able to give them a call. I called on THREE SEPARATE occasions and got no one. I finally had to call customer care to make sure that my reservation was okay and to confirm it. I spoke to Monique and she said yes everything was confirmed and even gave me a little bit more of a discount. So a few days went by and I show up at the place with my reservation confirmation and Holly looks and says that my reservation isn't in their system and that it was cancelled because I didn't call to confirm. What kind of bull is that!? I did call to confirm and I was clearly showing her my confirmation because I had printed it out! She says there are no more of the type of units that I reserved but that they had a larger unit and smaller unit both for more money than what I reserved! She did not want to help us out at all and was very rude! We asked for a manager and she said that there was no manager and that she couldn't call one either. After almost 20 minutes of arguing with this lady she finally got on the phone with a manager who also did nothing for us. I am sorry but I work in customer service and I know that it's your job to make the customer happy especially when it's the company's screw up! We wasted over an hour at this place trying to get a unit but left with no luck. I would never even want to give this place my money. They are rude, inconsiderate and do not care about their customers at all. I know some of the prices may look good but be warned! I would rather go somewhere else and pay a little more than have to deal with all that crap! read more

When I first moved to Orlando about a year ago I was searching for a place to put my stuff, uh junk. The best price I found in the area was at this location which actually was a different storage place. I wanted to use Public Storage, but they were a little too expensive. I used them when I lived in LA and never had a problem. You can pay your bill online and check everything very easily. Once Public Storage took over, they painted, replaced lights and really changed the feel of the entire place. I never had a problem with my items here. Only recommendation is to make sure you get an inside unit. We had some bug problems with our outside unit, but hey. It's Florida. Once I decided to move out, all I had to do was call the facility. I eventually spoke in person with Erick. He took care of everything for me. In any case, I highly, highly recommend this place. May I never have anything else to store, but if I did, I would not hesitate to put my stuff, uh junk there. :) read more
