The units are not climate controlled as they say they are! I've had one unit for months that the light has not never worked in it. The paint chips from the ceiling all over my stuff. And there is either something broken every time I have been there either the elevator, the gate, etc. But Gloria, the manager there is awesome. That's the only great thing about this place. So why have use public storage facility? Easy access to storage right? Well here in wallington they treat you like a criminal and make younsign in the carts. Then at 7pm though doors open through 9, oh just happen to lock all the carts in the office and if you need to move stuff well i guess you are just s.o.l. they leave 2 crappy carts that of you are lucky you might just get to use. Not to mention that the carts even when they oh so kindly let yoy accesss them are crap. They r small and there are no veritical movers. This facility is very good at reeling you in for a decent price like other facilities. THEN every December they hike the rent up, 4 years there started under 300 for a 10 x 18 & now we are over 500 a MONTH. The answer they give you is we can offer you another unit in the building because moving a unit that size is not easy.. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.. I rented from this location for the past several years and the convenience of a loading dock inside loading was always jammed up by moving companies tying it up for hours at a time and that's when the overhead door wasn't damaged but for some reason they still seemed to find time to raise the rent and deny 24 hr access as I had when I moved in. I watched the door come down on my truck that had no safety switches and I advised office and still door was left in service which a week later damaged another car this could have hurt or killed someone When I tried to move out of my unit the 2 overhead doors were not working so access was very limited and I went 3 days into the next month and they would not prorate they insisted that I pay the entire monthly rate. read more

After finally getting the courage to leave an abusive marriage I needed a storage unit that was close to the house I found and booked this facility online 5 x 5 unit after realizing the same day that it was going to be too small I called and spoke to someone and they said no problem I could make the change once I move in which was literally two days later I was excited to use my one dollar a month offer for the first month since money is now very tight for myself and my son since I have to find a place to live and a job once the move-in day came I was told that that special was used for my 5 x 5 unit and cannot be used for the new unit which was now 5 x 9 mind you my abusive husband was watching me as I move my things I'm a nervous wreck I'm crying so at this point I just needed to get my stuff out and said OK but after thinking about it $118 that I had to pay upfront versus one dollar it's not right it's not fair especially since I called the same day to let them know that I had made a mistake online and I needed to make those changes and I was never told that I was just told to come in moving day The manager was a lovely lady who gave me encouraging words and for that I thank her all she can do was give me the district manager name Sam Rivera Which I have left several messages and he has yet to contact me I think this company does not care about their customers oh I'm Also forced to pay an additional $15 a month for insurance that should be my choice if I want insurance or not please do your research before you book with this public storage facility because you're basically on your own and it is a damn shame read more

Public Storage is a major player in the storage business, in the past month, the elevators were not working and this weekend, the second access door was out of commission. One would think they would have service contracts to have these malfunctions readily repaired, but I really doubt they give a hoot about inconveniencing their customers. But as far as this individual location goes, you couldn't ask for a more filthy facility, the floors probably haven't been mopped since the day they opened, bathroom is disgusting, and good luck trying to find a cart that doesn't look like something that Fred Flinstone used. I'm glad I'm finished with this place and prospective customers should take note of a wealth of new storage facilities coming online in the nearby area. And don't get me started with the outrageous rent increases that they impose. read more

I wish i could give ZERO stars. This place ( public storage as a company) is a very very hideous company. I rented a unit on november 21 2015 at $28/month just for the space. I recently received notice of another increase (second increase) My space is now $39/month. in 1.5 years it went up $11, which is an increase of almost 40%. I called and complained and the rep said their annual increase( even though i have only rented for roughly year and a half) is 20%. If you can help it rent somewhere else this company is hideous and unethical no way should they think increasing rent like that is right. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Horrible customer service, bad management, from the in-house to the District Managers. Good luck fixing your bill when they screw up. I had to call every month to have them fix it. The A/C did not work in the summer. Ruined my property. They lock up hand carts after hours, so be prepared to carry your items to and from on your own. Add to the fact, the building is falling apart, and I was always worried of my items being destroyed. They raised my rent with little notice, so be prepared for that as well. Glad to be out. They raised my rate on my unit 6 months into my rental agreement and they tell me that it's in the rental agreement. They can raise your rates at anytime. Great place! It's in a good area and the facilities are high tech and well maintained. Edgard set us up with our unit and was very helpful. We originally were set up to have a unit with a support beam right in the middle and he immediately moved us to a different unit of the same size with no change in price. He was very helpful answering all our questions and was knowledgeable of all the features in the facility, including elevator access, equipment, and access locations. We feel very comfortable moving our things into this location. read more

Although I was grateful that employee Toni offered me a same size unit for less money, after providing my new debit card info, I find out a week later that auto pay was not set up properly. I received a call from the property manager as a "courtesy call" stating that I did not pay the next month's rent and that I would incur a late fee if I did not pay by the 7th of the month. Now EXCUUUUUUUSSSE ME, but that is NOT MY FAULT. I have been a customer since 2003 and have always used auto pay. I should not have to be penalized because my account was not set up properly. So dam sick and tired of being treated like a criminal and poor customer service. No apology, just a threat to incur late fees. Bullshit. Can't wait to move my stuff out as soon as I can consolidate what I have stored. read more

This place is a hot mess, bathrooms are filthy, and they never have a cart to use you need to go hunt for them, good luck your security only lets you in your floor, the staff is very rude and the woman with long gray hair is a sarcastic Bitch. I was looking for long-term rental. On the phone the girl was flexible and explained what to expect when i arrive. Upon arrival, i was in time crunch and the staff accommodated me very fast. The locker was dusty, but they immediately took care of that. The locker also would not lock, as the key had a problem, but the staff figured out solution right away without delaying me and the driver. Overall, i am very satisfied with the service provided at 3 Curies Ave. My only comment is to the owners/managers of Public Storage - the ladder is too narrow for human beings to place items up into the ceiling. This ladder has to be replaced with an automatic lift - this will be a small investment but good return. read more
