I just moved from a home near to the West Paces Ferry Publix, closer now to the Publix at Cumberland Parkway. The difference is tremendous - the Cumberland Publix has a gorgeous gourmet foods section, a prepared/hot foods bar, and a large section of meals that are ready to take home for those busy nights. This store is vast, so prepare to do some walking, but, if this Publix doesn't have it, you don't want it. Check out Cumberland Parkway Publix on those nights when you want to have a good meal on the table for your family, but have no time to prep. There are lots of options in the deli section, before the meats. I've also enjoyed fried chicken and soup from here - delicious! They even have a nice seating area, if you want to eat a quick lunch here - very pleasant! read more

It's Publix.......need I say more. This is a great place to stop for lunch. The hot bar is kept up throughout the day. The fruits are always fresh. The bread is made throughout the day. This review is solely for the deli department. Every single time I go here it takes FOREVER to simply get a sandwich. So much so that I went out of my way to download this app while waiting in line for over 20min (with only ONE person in front of me ) just to make this review. I am so tired of this, especially since this is the nearest Publix to my house. Whether there's 2 people in front of me or 5 people in front of me, the deli staff has absolutely no sense of urgency when servicing customers. I do not expect them to be professional sandwich makers but they don't even try to be as quick and efficient as possible. If you have somewhere to be do not even waste your precious time standing in line. This staff does not even take accountability or acknowledge the customers in line when it seems to be like a long wait. They will actually give you an attitude if you even make it to the front of the line as if you're the reason they're working this job. Also, I understand that one person is designated to online orders while another is designated to in person customers, however, if the line starts to get longer and longer it should be common customer service sense to pause on online orders to help get the line down. This happened to the lady in front of me and when she went to ask the employee if he could help her, he refused to help her. Honestly that's extremely unacceptable. It's almost as if they don't want anyone in the deli section so they purposely provide horrible service to keep everyone away. Yes everyone deserves an equal opportunity to be employed but the slowest most inconsiderate people should not be chosen to make custom orders. Neat, fast, friendly, and reasonable prices. I love the location! One thing though is that when they bagged my things, they didnt put it in a cart. The bag girl just walked off and left my bag there - that's where they lost one star, but was quickly redeemed when another cashier saw what I was doing, and she walked quickly towards me and started loading some of the bags with me :) read more

I like this Publix! I will also say that I even like this location a little more than the one right across the street from my house. This Publix seems to have a little more variety in terms of produce and slightly fresher fruits and veggies. One of the things that I tend to get in this location is their sushi... it was here were I first found out that they made sushi with brown rice as well, which is a nice change from the white rice. Anyway, I love the service here... pretty friendly and helpful if you need to find anything in particular that you can't seem to find on your own. I've been to this Publix location several times, but never needed employee assistance. Well, this time I was in search of some Kosher dill pickle chips. To my dismay, I found one small jar. I approached Christopher, a tall, lean young man wearing glasses. He was concentrating on organizing the freezer section at the time. I told him about my dilemma. He went to the back to see if there were any there. We waited a long time wondering where he was. He came back to tell me there weren't any in the back, but that he went back to the original location and found one more jar that was out of place. I was so delighted that he was just that committed to providing me with excellent customer service. He went above and beyond, which explains why I shop at Publix. Job well done! read more

Pricey compared to Kroger so only go here for one offs out of convenience. They don't have whole rotisserie chickens out for sale (you can buy a half from the deli but have to wait in line) and they never seem to have enough baguettes. The checkout staff is always great. read more

I've become a huge Publix fan since moving down here, and this store is the reason why. Inviting atmosphere, great prices and stock and the employees are very friendly and courteous. One reason I'm such a fan of this particular location, is because of David, one of the cashiers. Over the few years I've lived here, we've visited this Publix a countless number of times, but each time David see's us he always greets us and couldn't be friendlier! There are not enough cart corrals in the parking lot. I love the rest of the store although today the deli lady was very unhelpful.

The Paces and Cumberland location is my favorite. The cleanliness, well stocked and customer service is great.

When you think of great customer service, you think of companies such as Disney, Chic-Fil-A and Publix. I am very saddened to say that in all my years of shopping at Publix, I have never had an experience like this. I stopped by to pick up my prescription and a few groceries. When I walked up to the pharmacy counter, I was not greeted. He looked at me and said "last name?". The young lady behind the counter greater me as she was walking out to help a customer. From this point on, it was down hill from there. He asked me to verify my address. And when I didn't say the one on file, he just sat there with a blank stare. When I couldn't remember, I asked if I could verify another way, which I was able to provide my birthday. Then he asked for my insurance card, I simply stated, "it should already be on file". When I'm in need of something quick I usually just run out to publix ( I do most of my shopping at YDFM)... anyhow.. this publix is big and stocked with allot of their green wise meats-no hormones/antibiotics and organic products which is definitely a plus in my book.This publix even has their own brand of soy milk... I never saw that at my "old" publix..and they have a pretty large hot bar area although the only thing I usually grab from there are their delicious chicken strips! read more

Ahhh Publix, this was my go to store for 4 years. I miss the awesome lady at the deli counter who always sliced my Boar's Head turkey just perfectly. It made me mad when they remodeled the store and moved the cheese and bacon to a weird aisle (they didn't ask my opinion on this) but I eventually got over it. Go after work or after the gym to see and be seen amongst the beautiful people. Also if something is advertised on sale and it doesn't ring up correctly they give it to you for free. read more

On the "plus" side, the people who work here are very nice, but I'm constantly frustrated by items that are missing from the shelves even though the shelf tags are still in place. I patiently (and frequently) tell Customer Service about the missing items, but they're still missing. (It seems that "no one is running the store"! Who's in charge? Ramp it up!) My second "positive" is the good meat selection. Back to the "negatives": Items are priced on the high side, and the produce is not very fresh. I live midway between this Publix and the one at East-West Connector and S. Cobb Drive but I tend to gravitate towards this one especially after the recent remodel. The bakery selection is better, as is the wine section. Staff is also friendly. Year or two ago, I emailed the store using their web contact form suggesting they install a bicycle rack. Got a prompt reply from the store manager saying he would pursue it. In a few weeks a bike rack appeared in front of the store! read more

This review is regarding Publix Pharmacy's. I like the store but a recent experience with the pharmacy has made me decide to take my pharmacy business elsewhere. I was charged a huge co-pay for a prescription. I went out to my car and checked RX Good and found that I could pay $19 for the prescription versus $44. when I came back in to express my concern to the pharmacist he told me I could bring it back but I also told him that I should be able to get the same price there. Rather than work with me,when I explained that I was on a fixed income, he just showed me how much I could pay for same size using RX Good. I called a CVS pharmacist down the street to explain my concerns and asked what could've been done and she said the pharmacist could've easily suggested the smaller size so that I could've got the $19 charge. I just thought there was an insensitivity and a andimpatience by the Publix Pharmacist That I didn't like. As a result I will no longer get prescriptions filled here read more

Pretty standard Publix experience. The bread in the deli blocked the view of the guy making my sandwich. I'd never seen it like this before. It really bothered me. Oh well the sandwich was really good. They have a self check out and there were plenty of lines open. Many of the bogos were on the end caps making it really easy to spot them. read more

This store is the Cadillac of Publixes as far as Georgia is concerned. It. Is. Huge! In addition, they have an impressive lunch bar for a Publix. It includes salad bar, quesadilla, and the typical fare. I used to live right down the street from here and miss it. read more

I had to make a last minute order for a luncheon at work and I placed it at the wrong publix. When I got to this one and realized my mistake, the manager Henry told me not to worry that they would have my order up in 15 minutes and he would call the other location and explain everything. GREAT customer service!!! Even though it was totally my screw up he took care of everything. I'm embarrassed to say that this is the second time I've done this but this location has come to the rescue both times and kept a smile on their face even though I was causing them extra work. I'm in the hospitality industry so I can be a bit picky when it comes to customer service but this place blows me away every time. Keep up the great work!! read more

I shop at this location often due to the convenience of it being near my home. The two biggest issues for me are the lack of customer service and the SLOW deli employees. The employees who wipe down the carts in the lobby do not greet. I'm never able to find anyone who can help me find something in the aisles. I've used the pharmacy a couple of times and they are not friendly either. Today I visited the deli (sandwich) side and I had to wait in line for 10 mins before anyone assisted me. There was one lady in front of me. An employee named Christian was helping her and he looked miserable and was moving at a snails pace. Daisy, another deli employee was too busy making an online order to look up and notice 5 people standing behind me. She was incredibly SLOW. I've noticed that management has changed in the deli and apparently not for the better. Genesis, the deli manager needs to seriously re-train and hire efficient staff. I worked in retail for 11 years and I always moved quickly to get people in at out. This is unacceptable. read more

This Publix is great for not only grocery shopping on your lunch break, but for your lunch as well. They have a hot bar of foods such as fried chicken, baked wings, fries, various side dishes, a salad bar, sushi, and even chicken and rice meals! This store is always clean with complimentary coffee available at the front of the register. Just the other day I got some seaweed salad and it was yummy and fresh. I actually think Publix can be kind of expensive at times, especially in comparison to your local Kroger, however I just love this Publix. The customer service is friendly and the parking is not too hectic. And with the weather being so cold during this time of year, I can grocery shop and leave the groceries in my car since they will stay nice and cold until I get home! read more

My favorite Publix! It's practically across the street from my apartment, and it's always clean and well stocked! As others have mentioned, they have a great deli/hot bar/sushi area, and the bakery is great as well. And I also love their selection of organic/vegetarian foods. I almost never have to wait in line, either. The customer service is wonderful. My favorite thing about Publix is their deals. I started "couponing" a few months ago and Publix is so great about having awesome sales, keeping products in stock, and not giving me crap about my coupons that I painstakingly put together for each shopping trip. The cashiers never give me dirty looks or refuse to take my coupons, and they usually are excited to see how much I save. They are great. I almost never go to Kroger or Walmart anymore! read more

First time using the pharmacy since it's near my work, but go in today to pick up a simple 6 pill prescription sent over from my morning visit to a CVS Minute Clinic. pharmacist asks how it was sent, I say "Minute Clinic called it in," and she goes "of course" and turns quickly with a sigh to be bothered to check the VM's to get my prescription. Plus 15 minutes to wait for 6 pills? It's not like they had to mix a pint of liquid medicine with flavors or anything complicated like that. Was only 1 other person waiting on meds with me. When I checked out 20 min later the one tech they had working (should have more on duty to alleviate work load) was friendly to me and apologized for the wait. In summary, I guess i needed the medicine bad enough that the 15 min was totally worth it but the attitude was unnecessary, considering the fact that I know the pharmacists are the ones who do the scheduling, so there was no reason to take it out on me. read more
