Maranucci's Deli serves one of the best sandwiches I've had in Philadelphia…read more This is likely to poke the cheesesteak or roast pork purist out there but I'm gonna say it anyways... The corned beef hoagie at Marinucci's Deli is incomparable. It is layered with paper thin slices that are rich but never heavy. The dressing is balanced, the coleslaw adds a nice tang, and the shredded lettuce brings a fresh crunch that ties it all together. That's not enough. If you're from Philly you know that none of the above matters if your bread sucks. Well... Marinucci's offers seeded and unseeded rolls that are incredible. Please join me in thanking baby Buddha for this crusty, chewy yet fluffy vessel of perfection. The hoagie is massive, about the length of two of my hands long, and consistently excellent from first bite to last. When I first unrolled the hoagie my immediate thoughts were that I would never finish this in one sitting. I was right but you do you boo. The service matches the quality. It is an old school deli line that moves fast, with orders handled quickly and accurately even during a rush. Key word is ACCURATELY. Who knew that in 2026 whether or not a business can make your order accurately would be a thing but here we are. It's an important mention because this little detail tells me that they actually give AF. Ambiance: think classic Philly deli but without the attitude or aggression. Add chips and rice pudding to complete your order :)

I swear some of the best food I have eaten are in strip malls! Cafe Carmella is no exception. I…read morehave eaten here multiple times and have never had a bad meal. This is not a pizza joint but Italian Done Right and the dining room is cozy but you won't care. Fair warning they are always busy but so worth the wait. Don Cheech (cheesesteak) plenty of meat, juicy, cheesy and the bread is oh so good, French fries are solid with or without the truffles. They make homemade Arancini and it's delicious as is their burrata caprese. Then there is the meatball salad with ricotta or their Ceasar salad are crisp and filling with house made dressings. Every pizza I have seen looks amazing but I haven't gotten to them yet. I had the gnocchi mi nini amazingly creamy and light and their eggplant parmesan the eggplants was perfectly crisp and cooked perfectly. No mushy eggplant here. If you have any room left (we had dessert first one day) the tiramisu is delicious and so worth every calorie. The servers are very nice and have not had any issues plus the owners are waiting tables too with them. Don't be surprised to hear Italian spoken here it just adds to the experience.

Its a good value, $16 for a heavy sandwich. 2 ppl or one obese person can be satisfied off it. Roll was decent but it got ruined from the large amount of seed oil they added into the cooking process. The roll actually split along the sides as i was eating it - violation. Grilled onions were under-cooked and way too many added. Customer service was good. Friendly ppl. Smells amazing in the restaurant. Provolone sharp is great. Much better option than cooper and its harder to find but Carmelas had it. Overall decent steak but it didnt meet expectations for me

There is a huge bar bar in the center and a second bar in the back room. Lots of different setting areas. We scored both along the window. The seating was comfortable however anytime the person behind me moved my whole bench jumped. This happened many times throughout the meal and made me really uncomfortable. I would not sit at these booths again. The service was incredible. The servers use hand held devices to take orders. As you order an item, the photo pops up which the server would show us. They were also able to make any special requests on their device which we took advantage of. There were several menus along a gluten free menu for those who need. The food came out exactly as ordered. We had the fried artichoke, calamari, and mushroom truffle pizza. The pizza was incredible and our favorite thing we tried. It was cooked perfectly and the flavoring was perfection! There was no entertainment on the Saturday we went but they do have a live music schedule. They also offer a happy hour bar menu during the week. The pricing is a little higher than I expected so I'll definitely be back to take advantage of the happy hour food specials. I will definitely be returning and ordering that mushroom pizza again!

The quality that they provide every single time I step foot into that establishment is unparallel. Don Cheech's steak has the perfect ratio of cooper sharp to ribeye to the fried onions. The tender seeded roll is a fantastic touch to an already great sandwich. Another thing to point out is that the value of this place is insane. Right now Don Cheech's steak sits at $16.00 including tax. If you compare that to Angelos pizzerias "Cheesesteak" which is $21.06 including tax for an arguably inferior meal is mental. The service at Café Carmella is always personalized to you. They almost always take the time out of their day to recommend you something based on what else you have ordered which is extremely helpful if your indecisive. Another great thing to point out is the overly friendly environment that they provide. I've never seen a speck of dust or dirt in the place the countless of times that I have eaten here. Finally the location is ideal, If your like myself and you love a sweet treat after a great meal. Your in luck because the Huntingdon valley location sits directly next to a south Philly staple Johns water ice which is an authentic classic. Overall if you are even remotely in the area and your interested in having a high quality dining experience I highly recommend it.

Still we decided to share their American Boi Pizza and Carm's Parm Chicken with Drunken Rigatoni. The tomato pie was excellent (especially the first few slices right from the oven) which was perfectly crisp (no flop) and just the right char. It was superior to the parmigiana dinner platter, whose chicken was a bit dry due to being so thinly malleted and uncovered from lack of a fuller spoonful or two of red gravy. The Rigatoni was also in limited supply on the plate, but did hold the vodka blush well, which was pretty good. Service was exceptional, as our waitress engaged us warmly from welcome to final salutation. She was attentive and clearly took our satisfaction to heart. Five Star American Boi; Three Star Chicken Parm. No bread for the table. 3.5 Stars overall.
