Pucks&pizza has catapulted to our favorite pizza in the area. We've had plenty of pizza here including Nona's (overrated), Corvo Bianco (was good but then might have changed hands), Madison Avenue (still a top one), and Pucks is the best one. It's take-out only, so if you are looking for dine in Pizza, this place isn't your jam. But Chris is simply a fantastic pizza artisan. As others have stated, the thick crust is the bomb. I am normally not a thick fan as I lived in NYC for a long time, but this "thickness" is perfection. Not a big block of dough like Chicago style. We also like the thin crust, but the thick is really the speciality of Pucks. Ingredients are high quality, and the pizza is cooked to perfection. Call ahead and your pie will be ready in 35-40 minutes. Pricing is also really low compared to the amount of food! A large pie which is huge is around $30 and could easily feed 4 to 5 very hungry people. As others also stated, don't let the food truck steer you away. I am from Chicago and this is some of the closest Chicago pizza I have found outside of the city. I would honestly compare it to Lou Malnati's. The crust is very thin & crispy which is hard to come across outside of Chicago. One of my favorite spots in the area! read more

Went to Pucks & Pizza in Dunedin for the first time tonight and Man O Man....it was amazing!! I love a good Chicago deep dish and this one takes the cake...or the pie Whatever!! Had the Sausage and Giardiniera one and it did not disappoint. Even after the drive home and a little bit of sogginess from the steam, it blew my mind. It took 30 minutes. We called and ordered then headed there and it was done right on time. I highly recommend this food truck. Don't be put off by the looks of this place - it's in a sort of food truck that has probably seen better days .....but the pizza was one of the tastiest I've had in forever . Perfect crust savory sauce and loaded with all sorts of delicious meats . Yum ! Owner is very personable and hard working . Price was very reasonable too . The best pizza hands down. You won't find deep dish like this ANYWHERE in the Tampa Bay Area. Chris does a great job managing his restaurant and his son's hockey. An inspiration to the community. This food truck has the best Chicago Style Deep Dish pizza. I have been missing this since living in Illinois and I am so happy to have found this place! Pucks&pizza is Chicago deep dish pizza. They also have thin crust tavern style. I was excited to stumble upon this and I definitely had to try it. I am always looking for Chicago Deep Dish Pizza since this is what I have loved and grown up with. Sadly, I can say I was not a fan of this pizza. Instantly, I felt the heat in this pizza. I never had to ask if a pizza is spicy. My husband handles less heat than I can, and he couldn't even eat it. I tried again the next day and nope I couldn't finish a slice. It's sad. I really wanted to love it. It has exceptional reviews on FB and Google, but I can't be on the band wagon with it. I ordered my pizza and the guy who I ordered from was really nice and helpful. He's located in a food truck trailer in a collision center parking lot in Palm Harbor. If you love a hot spicy pizza, this may be your thing. Definitely check it out. But for me, it's not going to be a repeat. I ordered the deluxe with sausage, green pepper, & mushroom and no onion and olive. I just tasted the spicy flavor and no other tasty pizza flavors. Fantastic deep dish pizza! Hand made in front of you with fresh ingredients, and LOTS of them. The owner and pizza-meister, Chris, is a great guy and you can tell he cares about putting out a quality product. So glad my wife and I decided to stop by after our sunset viewing on Dunedin Causeway this past Thursday. We had the large meat-lovers deep dish he calls "The Goon," so delicious and heavy with meat and cheese you could do curls with it before eating. Let's me start by saying we really wanted to love this pizza. But unfortunately we didn't. We ordered a large thin crust sausage. Let me start with the positive. The sauce and cheese are very good. $16 for a large pizza is a good price. We are neutral on the sausage. Not the taste we were looking for. But that is very subjective. It was good quality just not what we enjoy. Now the negative. It was very tough and the outside crust was too hard. My wife and I love crispy pizza crust but this outside crust was inedible. We were afraid that we would break a tooth as the crust was so hard. Not flaky or not a cracker crust either. The crust was a strange yellow color and had no flavor. Maybe he uses corn flour or corn meal in the crust. The owner is a real nice guy. I wish we would have loved the pizza. read more

We are truly addicted to this pizza! Our Go-To is the small deep dish sausage and it is plenty enough for two (in my opinion). The sauce is incredible and the crust has a glorious crunch. The sausage does have a bit of heat but we love it. The cheese deep dish is awesome too. We tried a thin crust pizza when we had others join us last minute and had already ordered the deep dish and it was delicious too. The owner is very friendly and you can order by text message...how awesome is that?! He has a Facebook profile too that you can check for any changes in hours or to just look at pictures of the pizza! Lol. read more
