This was my second time dining at Julian's Little Italy in Dunedin & it was excellent!!! Our server, Michelle was very friendly and did a great job with everything!! All the food I've had between the first visit and this time has been full of flavor, served promptly and looked delicious!! Also, we ordered the Tiramisu again, as it absolutely melts in your mouth!!! The experience was very pleasant as well between the quaint atmosphere and beautiful decor!! As always, looking forward to my next visit to try more menu items!!!

The service was wonderful and the restaurant crowded However the food has gone downhill my better half's lasagna came out cold he never sends anything back but had to have it warmed My chicken parm was average but short on sauce Menu states two pieces of bread per person so that equals 4 pieces so why did we get only 3? Just ehh Best thing was the nice waitress Not sure I will return

    Cheese pizza

Hidden gem. Amazing and authentic Italian food. Ordered meatballs, chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan - so good! The atmosphere reminds me of a restaurant one would find in Little Italy, NYC. Friendly and excellent service. If you want a delicious dinner or pizza, this is definitely the place. Highly recommend!

Gluten Intolerant Review Arrived at just under 6pm on a Friday night and we were seated right away. Within 20 minutes, however, the place was packed....got there just in the nick of time! It is decorated cute and charming and definitely has a homey Italian feel. It was a tad warm, I had to fan myself with the menu for a while to get acclimated to the temperature. I asked if there was a separate Gluten Free Menu (life is so easy when there is!) but the gal who seated us replied with, "Our options are Pizza and pasta." Good enough, I'll find something. The waitress, a tad on the slower side, was friendly and answered questions about the GF options without seeming annoyed. One question was about the "Spaghetti, Meatball and Marinara" option that is listed directly under the GLUTEN FREE mention, section (see pic below). Dont be tricked! The meatballs nor the various pastas accompanying it, are GF It's just odd (misleading)placement! I learned they can make Chicken Piccata, Marsala and a few other "Saute's" GF (no batter), they have GF pizza crust, and they only have GF Penne pasta. My husband and son ordered Calamari to start.....booo!!!! I dont get to eat it anymore and it used to be my favorite appetizer... Oh well. The order was on the smaller side, and only enough for a 2 person small snack. They said it tasted "good" but weren't exceptionally excited. Next up were the salads and garlic bread (which is included as a part of my dish too, but there was no GF bread offered). The waitress was hesitant to say a definite YES that the Blue Cheese Dressing was GF, so I opted for Italian Dressing. Im glad I did because it made for a good salad. It appeared to be small, but it was plenty and very satisfying, and the 3 bean side sample was enjoyable. For dinner, my husband had the spaghetti and Meatballs, my son had Cacciatore, and I chose the A La Artichoke with the GF Penne pasta. For me, it took several pepper grinds, pepper flake and parmesan cheese shakes to get some flavor. I was happy about the vegetables, but overall the dish was underwhelming. In my opinion, the GF life doesnt have to be bland and unsatisfying, but Im finding that in many restaurants, it is. I feel like we are the forgotten ones. Husband and son both rated their dishes 5/10, and I rated mine a 4/10. It was edible but nothing to write home about. For more GF reviews in Pinellas County FL, follow my new Facebook page "Gluten Free Pinellas" and my new group "Gluten Free Pinellas (FL)" The bill came to $119.00 (pre-tip) with 2 glasses of Chianti and 1 Corona. GF options- 5/10 Menu GF Clarity - 4/10 (confusing) Server- 7/10 Food- 5/10 Price for Quality and Flavor - 4/10 Overall 5/10 Post Meal Gluten Reaction - 3/10 (possible cross contamination?)

Got the eggplant parm and had the salad with the house-made blue cheese dressing...Heads up the blue cheese is very strong tasting...I really liked the eggplant as it was prepared and cooked perfectly....It really melted in my mouth...For some reason the spaghetti was kind of just , meh....The sauce, to me, seemed to be pretty plain overall...Imo, it could have used more spices/herbs/garlic..The meatball had a good soft texture and was tasty...The bread they give you comes out warm and I thought it was good.I really liked the atmosphere with the lights and the fish tank....Waitress was friendly and good at her job. Overall 4 out of 5 stars...

    Shells and Beef!!!

Well, it is time for an updated review of a great little Italian restaurant in Dunedin. This place has never missed the target with quality and quantity of the food! They have great servers and are just very consistent! I tried the lasagna for the first time... outstanding made with sausage. The shells and beef is soo good and soo large!! $12 corkage fee very reasonable.

Always forget about this little gem in Dundien! Went on a Saturday it was busy, but not crowded. We had the mozzarella triangles for an appetizer, which was more than enough for the three of us. Granddaughter had the lasagna and "was a very skibidi rizzy meal" in her words. Hubby had the meat pizza and said it was the best around; he's had pizza around the world, from NYC to Italy! I had the the Balbimo, it was really good. We shared the pasta fagioli, and the Julian's salad, both solid. But the winner was the Chocolate cake! Oh MY...!!! The best ever! But be sure to take a bite of cake with the whipped cream. Family owned, love the non chained places. Won Tampa Bay best restaurants every year excluding 2023 since 2017 and I can see why. We also sat next to the fishes! They were side eyeing me... The food was also fairly priced!

Been here several times and it's been ok, maybe 3 star, my SO likes the spaghetti w/mb. This time I had the ala vodka with chicken. Nothing creamy, silky or smooth about the ala vodka sauce. It was an oily mess with dry tasteless chicken sitting in a broken pool of oil. It's like they forgot the cream, basil, prosciutto and oregano. Service was disinterested. My wine glass sat empty for half our stay with no offer to refill until I stopped our server to request another. Both water glasses sat empty as well. I don't know if it was the chef's night off but it was pretty disappointing.

Thank you Lindsay for your great and friendly service. I thoroughly enjoyed the veal parm. with spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and cannoli. Loved sitting across from the colorful fish tank.

    Chocolate cake

Had a to-go order and food was Hot Reasonably priced and Delicious! I also ordered the chocolate cake and it too was great. Portions are enough to enjoy leftovers. I'm only in town for a few weeks but may be back for round 2.

Fettuccine Alfredo served with mushroom and prosciutto.

Wonderful experience! You could smell the delicious aroma the second we walked in. Our service was top notch and the food was Amazing! The best Alfredo I've had in years! Highly recommend!

There was actually one more piece with this order but, we were charged $3.99 for 4 pieces of thin, small, garlic toast.

The chicken Marsala needs improvement, the sauce didn't have great flavor and the chicken was not seasoned well. Using large (maybe portobello?) mushrooms provides a weird texture to the dish. On the other hand, when you cut into the Pork Chop, the heavens may part and angels sing. This chop is magnificent!!! We ordered on Wednesday night which offers a special Italian preparation with a tomato reduction sauce. The pork itself is so tender you can cut it with a fork. It melts in your mouth. GO for the pork chop! It's marvelous.

My Brother lives in St Pete and takes our Mom to eat there or calls in for take-out at least 2-3 times per month. We arrived tonight (Thursday) around 7:45 PM to bypass the dinner rush. Walking in to be seated, I noticed several empty tables that had not yet been cleared with several people waiting outside to be seated. I was told "there will be at least a 10-15 minute wait, to give my name, and to wait outside." I thought maybe there were enough people waiting already to take up the empty tables, but that wasn't the case. We sat outside in the cold waiting and watching the guy stand at the bar doing nothing to help bus the empty tables, some of which were right by the window. After 15 minutes or more, we were finally called in last walking by the same uncleared tables, led to another table as the table cloth was being placed on it, no menus, no apology for the extra long (unnecessary) wait outside in the cold. When we finally placed our order, we waited some more. Finally our server said "there was a mix up and our order had not gone through." When Mom's favorite seared salmon finally arrived, it was dry and overcooked. I have never written a bad review on Yelp in my life. But, I hated to see my precious Mom & Brother treated this way. Loyal customers should not be taken for granted.

We didn't have the heart to tell our server it was wrong again and we were very tired since it was getting late. I ordered the fig pizza which was delicious albeit a little dry. I would ask for a dipping sauce next time perhaps. I think we will be back but it will take me convincing my husband it's a safe choice. We were also told that they were missing a lot of staff members due to their truck being over at The Sound.
